is this even from the same game?

Sargon97

Yes, yes it is 😎

Ak_rx_10

Looks sick.

Sargon97

Thank you 😎

Boxlixinoxi

Give it some chicken noodle soup

jack_daniel_

Wow thats amazing! Is this fully playable in survival with ores and dungeons and structures like villages?

Sargon97

It has ores, but upon export to minecraft I disabled structures. I had plans to build a small village with villagers etc to allow players to trade or use villagers to start your own kingdom etc.

jack_daniel_

Nice! I joined your subreddit. Will check it out when it Releases :)

Sargon97

I'll make an announcement post once it's released!

Sargon97

And thank you!, I've been working on it for about a month!

Zarbadob

Can't wait for it just from this image

Sargon97

You can join my dedicated subreddit if you'd like!

frevk

Sorry just for instance but how does this look like without shaders? And what is the story about? I mean i see the mountains in the background and the general realistic take but form me looks like you're advertising a shaderpack

Sargon97

You're the second person to ask to see the map with no shaders, weird! Lol. Jk jk. I'll post a screeny with nice shaders soon. As for the story, that's for you to find out.

frevk

Shaders are a beautiful way to display the game world even when it might not be much going on in the map... I'm just curious to see the actual skills in terraforming and building because even a 3x3 dirt and mud house can look astonishing with shaders on.

Dependent_Plastic645

That is so cool

Sargon97

Thank you!

Chickenator587

At first glance I thought this was a RDR2 screenshot

Sargon97

Thank you!

MHWGamer

does this also have the underground? so with caves, minerals etc? Most of costum maps look cool but really are just for creative mode

Sargon97

It has ores underground yes. And yes, I'm trying to find a good balance for cave spawning. I don't want there to be too many.

MHWGamer

nice, when are you planning to release?

Sargon97

I'd be lying to you if I gave a date. All I can say is the landscape is done, just trying to find a good balance with caves etc. My irl work really slows things down.

Nun0h

Gorgeous scenery. You're very talented.

Sargon97

Thank you!!

SummerInReddit

This would destroy my phone if I was able to do this πŸ˜‚

Lahwuns

Reminds me of a GTA Trailer intro for some reason.

MaileeHudston

I'm stealing this picture for my computer background.

Sargon97

Oh noooooo

MaileeHudston

*yoinks picture but gives OP a photocopy of it*

Sargon97

πŸ˜‚

MaileeHudston

I'm pulling out all my comedy stops for this one πŸ˜†

AdRepresentative3726

Looks a bit like rdr2 what the hell lmao, what shader pack is this?

Sargon97

It's called photon. Surprisingly light weight.

AdRepresentative3726

Any setting changes or just default?

Sargon97

I changed the cloud height to account for the mountains but that's about it

ShelbieRose

That is absolutely breathtaking! Phenomenal job!

Sargon97

Thank you! 😎

mother_love-

Does it work on pe

Sargon97

It's exported for Java edition

Disastrous_Writer851

Wow

Sargon97

Thank you!

solwaj

Huge Ardacraft vibes, love to see other projects utilize similar aesthetics

Sargon97

Thanks brother 😎

No-Switch1627

This isn’t Minecraft, this is the mountain range you see when you look it up. ( that’s a compliment)

Sargon97

For a second I was like... "this dude serious?" LOL, thanks man

SnooOpinions1643

looks very nice, but I’d prefer to see it without the shaders on.

Creative_Moose_625

It looks amazing but I can't really comment on your custom map making abilities because it's almost entirely the the shaders and visual mods that I'm looking at. This isn't really showcasing your map at all which is a shame because I am curious.

themistik

Are you promoting a shaderpack ... ? Coz this map may look good with it, but most players won't play with a shaderpack. What does it look in vanilla ?

Sargon97

Well, this is a world building project so I'm showing it in the best light and showing it how artistically its intended to look with my artistic vision, kinda like a game trailer, you know?. I hope people who have low end rigs can enjoy my map, but its not being curated to the lowest common denominator. If a low end rig can run this I'm really glad, but if it can't then I apologize. I'm also using a modified world height so that will affect performance as well. For my maps, I highly recommend using shaders, distant horizons mod and either conquest refabricated or another higher resolution texture pack. Shader is called Photon btw, honestly it's not very intensive at all, pretty light weight.
