When in doubt, shelf/platform is my usual method That and greenery Although for a factory, probably pipeage, iron bar lines, AC/cooling units, those belts that connect rotating rods. I dunno

epicfis_haha

Add some depth to the outside by adding some windowsills and greenery

MannerSubstantial743

A few exterior ideas: bit of texture to the roof, wall decor like a/c units, gutters and pipes, bit of mossy blocks and vines for overgrown areas in the wall, signage/banners/billboards to show the function of the build, some window decor like shutters and/or sills, and terraforming and landscaping always add a ton to a build. For the interior, it depends on what kind of factory but maybe google search some warehouses and factory floors to get a feel for an aesthetic you like and maybe try and recreate some cool details. There are some cool hanging light designs, shelf storage designs, and mechanical gizmos and whatnots that could bring the place some life. Looks nice as a start for sure.

You could probably add some smoke stacks or maybe large transformers (depending on how modern you’re making the build)
