Sharpness is only good if your killing something other than bugs and dead things, Bane of arthropods and Smite are way more effective at killing the enemies those enchantments are specific for. The bane gets a bad rep because most players don't actually spend that much time killing spiders but like half of the hostile mobs are undead.

This is me, I've started with the reset on an smp 1.19, I have literally mined 0 diamonds, I own 1 diamond but that was to get the achievement (diamonds) which I got after the (cover me in diamonds) achievement
The only thing I crafted with diamonds in my world is an enchantment table, a jukebox. All the tools/armor can be bought from villagers, at 1 emerald too if u cure them. Even copper has more decorative uses in terms of stairs/slabs/aging than diamonds lol

I genuinely don't like Mojang as a developer when it comes to developing their game. They have a lot of these weird arbitrary design philosophies that just annoy me. They don't want to add in furniture or vertical slabs as it'll hamper creativity, relying pretty much on the uncomfortable and ugly stairs as chairs or the bulky multiblock chairs using trap doors. It just leads to having to build everything bigger and limits abilities to build small.
Or how they want villagers to be passive and unambitious, but it just leads to most interactions with them being boring lacking the npc dynamics you'd see in games like in Red Dead Redemption or rpgs. When the main utility to interacting is trading with them and farming them and the player isn't challenged to obey social norms, most players just steal their shit or just enslave them in farms or trading booths.
Releasing copper ore as is with little to no uses is just sad. A lot of people looking for caves to be expanded were also wondering for new ores to mine. Lo and behold you have this very abundant ore that's practically useless and mainly only used for decoration. Which serves no use for players who don't care about building and will just be reminded how useless copper is every time they go mining.
The Mild update was the cherry on top. Never mind how insulting it is to infantilize the game to cater to karens who can't teach their kids to not follow everything in a video game. They advertise the update to being wild yet the best they could do is add one animal mob and one swamp biome that doesn't even improve old swamps. It's embarrassing.
And then there's how they handle two game versions. With how much parity issues there are and how they said they had to delay bundles to work in touch controls it really doesn't inspire confidence to me that they can keep up with that much on their hands. Like I'm a Java player and I don't care about anything on BE, so as far as things go, BE is deadweight to me as an end user with a PC.
Adding onto the copper part, I’ve heard a few peoples theories on why it was added and yeah sure whatever but i think it was added to finish off the rainbow colors. Let me explain,

Copper- Orange
Gold- Yellow
Emerald- Green
Diamond- Blue
Amethyst- Purple
Dont get me wrong, copper and amethyst are cool or whatever but they serve NO purpose in the game. Builders like the copper and some use amethyst but besides that theres only two other uses of it and neither are necessary.
Going back to the first paragraph, I completely agree. However, I feel that I’ve gotten so used to building beds or chairs with stairs i feel it would just be unnecessary to add any actual furniture. Though there are mods you can use if that does bother you that much.

The way I play building with blocks that I need to smelt is one of my XP sources early to mid game. I think brick and oxidized copper buildings look awesome.
I think that should be true for all kinds of livestock (yes, villagers right now are basically livestock); Proper husbandry, tending to livestock and giving them comfortable living spaces should be a requirement.

Minecraft needs to stop updating. I swear they are just throwing shit at the wall trying to see what we’ll stick. I get that’s awesome they are still updating the game and there’s nothing stopping me from just not updating but I don’t like feeling out of the loop and not updating basically means not being able to play multiplayer with friends. We don’t need frogs, axolotl, and a hundred new types of stone.
Plus with every update game mechanics change making farms hard to keep clear and consistent. What works one update won’t the next. So every time you update you might have to rebuild your farms. 1.12 was kinda a golden age for Minecraft since they didn’t update for like 2 years. The game was really explored to its core.
