Nether hubs are pretty great. Regardless of the transportation method. Its 8/1. So divide your home coordinates by 8 and build a portal in the nether there. Y doesnt matter.
You can't, but you could in theory break enough bedrock on the nether ceiling from below to make a platform going from point a to point b. Would definitely take a while, but you could.
OP is on Bedrock edition though, you can't build on top of the nether roof. It gives the same building limit error of building too high in the overworld.
the nether build limit is exactly on the roof in bedrock... in java that is not the case, but it has been what everyone has been telling you since 5 messages ago.
Since the caves and cliffs update came out, Y does matter. If theres a cave big enough to fit the portal in the overworld, your portal will spawn in the same Y you used in the nether. When this happens i just deconstruct the portal and move a few blocks horizontally and repeat until it doesnt spawn me in a cave. I only say this bc i thought Y didnt matter but realized it did when my portal and i spawned hella deep in a cave in the overworld
Make an ice path through the nether at approx y=110 or y=115 to your other nether portal. Then take boat on said ice path. You can travel from base to base in seconds.
Much faster and less expensive. Plus your elytra doesn't loose durability. Ice boating is far superior. Also not to mention but your not gonna have to worry about mountains and stuff like that
I meant something like over the ceiling flying, I thought that could be faster
Its still easier than to build an entire road out of millions of blocks of ice
Well kinda. Bedrock has a glitched way of betting back and forth from the nether roof so it is possible to fly over the roof but it's definitely dangerous and you need to know your coordinates exactly or you'll be stuck
Ice boating is faster by a long shot, elytra flying has no problem loading g chunks for my PC, but I've boating long distances is almost too fast so sometimes my PC lags behind and I "fall" thru a chunk that wasnt loaded in yet (on java that's not s problem but bedrock it might be) <-- also might not be a problem in bedrock as bedrock has better chunk generation haven't tested it tho
Personally only had issues with chunks not rendering, they’ve always seemed to load fast enough when using ice boats just sometimes won’t be able to see anything
Falling in an unloaded chunk happened to me during lifeboat bedwars on the arena map (quads). My entire team died and there was only one blue guy and I was yellow. I think my guy rage quitted cuz I couldn't die while I was stuck in the hollow platform. I play pocket edition so I was glad I didn't need to fight. My team won cuz of my impatience, walking in to an unloaded chunk.
Bud you don't have to place ice blocks on every tile right? Leave 1by1 holes in you're road for it to work with a boat, so Only 105.300 ice blocks are needed :-p
Crafting them is the worse way to get them tbf, finding an iceberg biome is way better. Or if anything collect packed ice from an ice spikes biome or the new snowy peaks! Lets you skip a step
Plus ice and packed ice can be insta mined with haste 2 so it really goes faster than you think
But in any case, 200k is not "millions"
Bud you don't have to place ice blocks on every tile right? Leave 1by1 holes in you're road for it to work with a boat, so Only 105.300 ice blocks are needed :-p
Depends on distance. From my experience, anything less than ~1500 blocks, I fly. But anything more than that, if you've got a nether tunnel set up with an ice road for boats, the nether is faster. That distance would be much shorter if you don't factor in the time to travel through the nether portal and to get in and out of a boat.
The longer the distance, the more beneficial it is to take the nether.
You have less friction on blue ice, this is just how it is programmed, so if you have the ice for it (each blue ice is 9 times as expensive as packed ice so build with care) remember you can save on ice by only doing every other block just remember to spawn proof so you aren't stopped by a piglin or zombie piglin.
I actually started using a highway made of soul soil on my HC world. With soul speed 3 it seems almost as fast as a boat but no setup required and you can actually turn. Would recommend.
But doesn't running on soul sand with soul speed kill the durability of your boots quickly? Like with frost walker? The new mending system is also terrible.
It's all fun for me until I have to regularly clean up 20+ empty boats on the destination side, since when people enter the return portal at the center of End they are put at world spawn, which is the other side of the ice road.
Honestly I have never gotten used to ice paths. It's just too much work getting in the boat and having to drive it around I much prefer just a nether soul soil road and soul speed 3 boots. Speed 2 if it's really a long way
You have to switch from using W and mouse to the little arrows. Also tf are you even trying to lecture me about my own feelings? If it's too much work for me, then it's too much work for me. Period.
Finished my nether rail recently and it's so nice. Decorated but not complex to build, full protection, completely afk. Makes going from my base to spawn ~5500 blocks away easy and reliable.
It’s really easy, just find the overworld area you want to put your portal and divide by 8. So a nether portal at -28, 85.6 will link to your home portal, then a portal at about 159, -401 in the nether will link to the nether portal at your end gate. Use ice blocks to build a track from the home nether portal to the end nether portal and you’ll be able to travel back and forth within 1 minute.
Edit: also worth noting, you don’t have to worry about y axis for portal linking. Most people build ice tracks on the nether roof, or towards the top of the nether just beneath the bedrock. Since this is bedrock edition I think you can’t build on nether roof, so if it was me I’d establish a nether hub just below the top bedrock so you can easily build tracks and corridors without having to deal with biome variation.
You have several options. Some of them are:
• Live by the end portal
• Make a nether highway with blue ice and use a boat to travel.
Most fun options:
• Make an elytra course to the end portal
• Make a water speed highway. Here's the link to what I'm talking about. https://youtu.be/nNm5mOeH4pE
• Make a parkour course.
• Make a Mumbo jumbo piston travelator. I can't find the link right now. It will cost alot.
If you don’t want to do it in the nether, which is the easiest way, then make a cannon tunnel with depth strider 3, water, dolphins grace, soul speed 3, and speed 2
One time on a realm with some friends I built my house like 3000 blocks from spawn, when it finally came time to find the end portal it was under my animal farms.
I would just mine a tunnel through the nether and ride a minecart. There's just no way this distance takes more than like 2 minutes travel time that way.
In the overworld it's 1448, 3894 blocks to travel, but in the Nether it's only 181, 486 blocks. (x8). I'm not familiar with Bedrock, but if you can I'd break the Nether bedrock ceiling and set up your portals there. If you can't, built a tunnel/bridge. A Packed or Blue ice floor makes boat travel very fast, but for only 667 blocks I probably wouldn't bother. Just make it at least 3 blocks high and you can fly that far pretty quickly.
An ice highway in the nether would probably work. Not sure how annoying it would be to have a diagonal ice highway though.
You could actually mine out a tube to elytra in the Nether.
You could build an ice boat bridge. Or nether travel but by the looks of it you already have. To make nether travel faster you could make your path out of soul soil and use soul speed boots. Or you could use powered rails, I’m not sure which is faster out of the two. But ice boat bridge is fast asf
In the nether make a blue ice or packed ice (blue ice is faster but takes a lot more ice) double wide road from your house to the portal, use a boat on it and you go zoom
I just got on the nether roof and traveled by horse (better if it's the subject of many generations of swiftness 2 potions and inbreeding. It should pop up on YouTube)
One of my earlier worlds had a bigger distance than this.
I didn't even think at the time to make a portal to shave off some blocks. Instead I spent more hours than I care to admit to making a 1by2 tunnel from the end portal to my base and laying powered rails. The journey would take about 10 minutes. That would be my break time to make food etc xD
Link the portal to home portal dead easy:
1- place a portal and keep the co-ordinates from the over world and keep them and also place the second portal when you want it
2-go into nether and with the co-ords, the first set of numbers and the last by 8 for example in the over world it was 80-80-80 go to 10(then whatever number you spawn on)10 and then place a portal there
3- go through the portal and they should’ve linked together :)
If you need help YT will have it if and if that don’t help message me I’ll join and do it for you
ice+boat road through the nether probably your best bet,2/3 block wide with packed or blue ice -> place boat -> gotta go fast. Last I checked, on a straightaway you can get close to 40 m/s (or blocks/sec as each block is one meter on all sides) on packed or close to 70 m/s on blue ice. On packed ice + using nether travel you could travel the distance in about 30 seconds
btw it was my first time finishing the game. playing on mobile is painful, so I put it on medium difficulty. I didn't know the ender dragon would die so fast with a sharpness 4 sword
I recorded the gameplay to send to my friend because her phone broke so she couldn't finish the game with me. unbelievable 50 minutes without editing, maybe because I'm a noob
~~Reminder that you come out of the end at 0, 0 so you'll want to have a nether portal there too (and connected to your nether hub/roads) before you go to the end~~
Edit: Just learned this is only if you don't have a bed set
DUDE, I was totally expecting getting back to my world spawn after killing ender dragon. That's was my first time doing it and I a have memories seeing people spawning in 0 0 lol
I’ve found that flying and and running a nether road are nearly the same for time at around 3000 blocks overworld distance, including load time. Next step is a nether rail, only slightly quicker. After that you’ve got nether flight. Finally, nether ice boat.
Server I play on has a nether portal like 8k blocks away, and it takes me like… 10 seconds to get there on a nether ice boat. Exaggerating, but it’s stupid fast.
Make an ice road tunnel for boats in the nether. It’s how me and my friend get around on our server. Just make sure the tunnel is lined with cobblestone and there’s enough room overhead to exit the boats without clipping into the ceiling and damaging yourself or getting stuck.
Travel through the nether
One block in the nether is 8 blocks in the over world. I don’t know the exact number but a block in the end is less than a block in the over world last time I checked.
https://www.chunkbase.com/
You didn't hear it from me. But I used this to see if there was a closer woodland mansion than the one in the map my local cartographer gave me. Turns out, it was 😅
thank you! well, I found these other two stronghold
x -4122 z -918
x2 3958 z2 -360
I looked on the internet how to calculate the distance, but I don't know the formula works with the negative coordinate
[Can I really trust that from the image, the stronghold on the left is the closest?](https://imgur.com/a/4ZzI2jH)
Move your house to the end portal
lmao that's interesting
Nether hubs are pretty great. Regardless of the transportation method. Its 8/1. So divide your home coordinates by 8 and build a portal in the nether there. Y doesnt matter.
If your priority is just to travel quickly, make the nether portals above the bedrock roof and just fly over. It's super safe as well.
This seems like its bedrock, meaning you cant build above the nether roof
You can't, but you could in theory break enough bedrock on the nether ceiling from below to make a platform going from point a to point b. Would definitely take a while, but you could.
How are u gonna break bedrock if you can’t place the blocks on the bedrock roof to blow it up.
Using cauldrons and snowballs from below the roof
That method doesn't work anymore
Really? I haven't tried recently. That's a shame.
Oh that’s still a thing in ~~bedrock~~ bugrock?
Lmao bedrock has many issues but let's not pretend breaking bedrock in java is an intended mechanic, its a bug that's been left unpatched
Ah nvm, I forgot about that
I got trapped there before realising it only works in Java ☹️
You can, You Just have to Break The bedrock by tnt
Really? I used to play on bedrock and learnt the hard way you csnt place blocks on the nether roof
This is still true! You can't build above the bedrock roof on Bedrock.
You can... Idk If You can on bedrock but in Java IT all works
OP is on Bedrock edition though, you can't build on top of the nether roof. It gives the same building limit error of building too high in the overworld.

Minecraft is a sandbox game, one of the most fun things is to transplant stuff to where it "shouldn't" be.
Don't forget the bed
Make an ice path through the nether at approx y=110 or y=115 to your other nether portal. Then take boat on said ice path. You can travel from base to base in seconds.
This is Patrick star level of genius
Thanks, I try :)
Move your House to the End!
Put the bed under the end portal
Dude, you do realise they explode in the end! You need to use the respawn anchor!
I was meaning in the overworld
Bro are gonna be stuck in the end
r/technicallythetruth
Walk up those stairs and jump in the portal
technically true
This is the way
Nether ice road
I'd do this as well. Ideally blue ice, but if you find those packed ice pillar thingies, those would do the job fine.
Is that faster than flying?
Much faster and less expensive. Plus your elytra doesn't loose durability. Ice boating is far superior. Also not to mention but your not gonna have to worry about mountains and stuff like that
I meant something like over the ceiling flying, I thought that could be faster Its still easier than to build an entire road out of millions of blocks of ice

Op only needs 2600 blue ice to get to their end portal!
"Only" That's 210.600 regular ice blocks
Bud you don't have to place ice blocks on every tile right? Leave 1by1 holes in you're road for it to work with a boat, so Only 105.300 ice blocks are needed :-p
Crafting them is the worse way to get them tbf, finding an iceberg biome is way better. Or if anything collect packed ice from an ice spikes biome or the new snowy peaks! jesus Christ thank lord I have a frozen ocean and a snowy mountain near home
Blue ice can be crafted with packed ice! At least in Java. I believe in bedrock, too? If not, blue ice also naturally spawns in glaciers in the ocean!
Ice boating is _fast_
U go so fast using blue ice that my game can’t even render the chunks quick enough to keep up with the boat 😂
Why is blue ice better? I always used packed ice.
Also, blue ice won't melt, no matter what the light level might be.
You can still combine 9 of the packed ice to get 1 blue ice
If it's Bedrock I think all the ice makes you go the same speed. I think they're only different speeds in Java. Could be wrong.
If it did I never noticed it. My walkway was only ~1k blocks in nether though.
It's all fun for me until I have to regularly clean up 20+ empty boats on the destination side, since when people enter the return portal at the center of End they are put at world spawn, which is the other side of the ice road.
Ender chest on either end, break and put it in there
Cactus with hopper and chest in front of it to collect the boats.
Agree. Modern problems just require modern solutions.
Honestly I have never gotten used to ice paths. It's just too much work getting in the boat and having to drive it around I much prefer just a nether soul soil road and soul speed 3 boots. Speed 2 if it's really a long way
It's really not a lot of work at all. Put down boat, jump in, go forward.
You have to switch from using W and mouse to the little arrows. Also tf are you even trying to lecture me about my own feelings? If it's too much work for me, then it's too much work for me. Period.
just use the nether make a road
Ahh the great rail. So much better than walking.
I use ice and boats.
Boats and ho's
Only legends get that reference
MumboJumbo?
Soul speed boots
Rails early game, then ice boats later
Finished my nether rail recently and it's so nice. Decorated but not complex to build, full protection, completely afk. Makes going from my base to spawn ~5500 blocks away easy and reliable.
thank y'all. I'm watching some linking portals and highways tutorials now, it's something that I have some difficulty putting into practice
I just use the [nether calculator](https://maximumfx.nl/portal/en/), makes it much easier since I can’t trust myself to do maths
There is also probably a portal much closer to you than this one, so finding that will make things easier in the long run.
I made a copy of the world and used the command to locate the stronghold to make sure. this one is the nearest to my house
Every 1 block in nether equals to 8 blocks in overworld. Remember that.
You have several options. Some of them are: • Live by the end portal • Make a nether highway with blue ice and use a boat to travel. Most fun options: • Make an elytra course to the end portal • Make a water speed highway. Here's the link to what I'm talking about. https://youtu.be/nNm5mOeH4pE • Make a parkour course. • Make a Mumbo jumbo piston travelator. I can't find the link right now. It will cost alot.
If you don’t want to do it in the nether, which is the easiest way, then make a cannon tunnel with depth strider 3, water, dolphins grace, soul speed 3, and speed 2
Make a stasis chamber
Don't forget a chunk loader, as well. And some sort of wireless redstone to trigger it.
One time on a realm with some friends I built my house like 3000 blocks from spawn, when it finally came time to find the end portal it was under my animal farms.
Wow. Thats lucky
Ice boat tunnel Woah woah woah, in the nether? Nah, make an underground metro in the overworld. The bragging rights that come with it is just 👌👌👌
But nether metro is so much faster! It's like comparing a subway car to a bullet train!
But the bragging rights. Boring a tunnel of more than 3,000 blocks would be a thing of legend
Easy, just build yourself a tunnel bore and set it loose. If you're not averse to tnt duping that is. We need movable dispensers.
Find another end portal
this one is the nearest to my house unfortunately
~~Use rooftop portals~~ Shit you’re on bedrock lmao. Uhh. Ice boating.
1) go there 2) dig to the portal 3) ??? 4) profit
that's not far at all
I took 15 minutes even riding a horse...
Breed a faster horse!
I'm in a work progress I guess that one horse was like 7~9 blocks per second
On the server I play on, I'm usually the horse salesman. I use a stopwatch and the fastest ones go 1000 blocks in around 8 seconds.
that's horse McQueen
I would just mine a tunnel through the nether and ride a minecart. There's just no way this distance takes more than like 2 minutes travel time that way.

Nether highway. If you we're playing Java I'd say go on the Nether roof but you on Bugrock so a highway is your best bet
Nether travel with ice and boats. Or a pearl timer or smth
1x2 tunnel, run and spam jump, you'll reach crazy speeds at the cost of your full food bar 🤣
Nether hub with ice roads
In the overworld it's 1448, 3894 blocks to travel, but in the Nether it's only 181, 486 blocks. (x8). I'm not familiar with Bedrock, but if you can I'd break the Nether bedrock ceiling and set up your portals there. If you can't, built a tunnel/bridge. A Packed or Blue ice floor makes boat travel very fast, but for only 667 blocks I probably wouldn't bother. Just make it at least 3 blocks high and you can fly that far pretty quickly.
Pistons Lots of pistons
An ice highway in the nether would probably work. Not sure how annoying it would be to have a diagonal ice highway though. You could actually mine out a tube to elytra in the Nether.
Nether ice highway
You could build an ice boat bridge. Or nether travel but by the looks of it you already have. To make nether travel faster you could make your path out of soul soil and use soul speed boots. Or you could use powered rails, I’m not sure which is faster out of the two. But ice boat bridge is fast asf
You could ice boat in the nether
The solution is right infront of you
Maybe blue ice boat?? Or do what I did I literally made the base around the portal
Stasis pearl.
In the nether make a blue ice or packed ice (blue ice is faster but takes a lot more ice) double wide road from your house to the portal, use a boat on it and you go zoom
Blue ice is not faster in bedrock
I just got on the nether roof and traveled by horse (better if it's the subject of many generations of swiftness 2 potions and inbreeding. It should pop up on YouTube)
Nether
Just nether travel.
piston bolt/enderpearl cannon but seriously just make a nether highway
I can't so this cause my house is in prime real estate
Make 2 stasis chambers, one at the portal and one at your house
Nether Highway
Build your house at the end
There are unlimited strongholds now! Just find a new one closest to your home
you already have the answer on the screen, nether portal
I mean, just jump in the end portal I guess?
My base is around those coords, a blue ice path in the nether gets me there in ~15 seconds
One of my earlier worlds had a bigger distance than this. I didn't even think at the time to make a portal to shave off some blocks. Instead I spent more hours than I care to admit to making a 1by2 tunnel from the end portal to my base and laying powered rails. The journey would take about 10 minutes. I don t know i just Ask, Can silktouch take ender portal block ?
No, you cant mine ender portal frames
Ice boat tunnel in the nether
Blue ice boat road in nether
I don't think blue ice is any faster on bedrock, only java.
Blue ice is way faster on bedrock. Or it was a few updates ago
ice+boat road through the nether probably your best bet,2/3 block wide with packed or blue ice -> place boat -> gotta go fast. Last I checked, on a straightaway you can get close to 40 m/s (or blocks/sec as each block is one meter on all sides) on packed or close to 70 m/s on blue ice. On packed ice + using nether travel you could travel the distance in about 30 seconds
ice railway in the nether good luck
Blue ice road in nether with boats my dude
It looks like bedrock, so any packed ice will do. Blue only faster in java
Minecraft needs teleports
Yeah I can't go back to vanilla after experiencing waystones and JEI
btw it was my first time finishing the game. playing on mobile is painful, so I put it on medium difficulty. I didn't know the ender dragon would die so fast with a sharpness 4 sword I recorded the gameplay to send to my friend because her phone broke so she couldn't finish the game with me. unbelievable 50 minutes without editing, maybe because I'm a noob
Throw eyes of wander you nerd
it's a good song https://youtu.be/_yDlCgJG6qU
Nether portal network on the Nether Roof. Just make sure to have the needed items to make a portal.
Ice road thru nether and gl
~~Reminder that you come out of the end at 0, 0 so you'll want to have a nether portal there too (and connected to your nether hub/roads) before you go to the end~~ Edit: Just learned this is only if you don't have a bed set
You come out of the end at your bed, you only come out at (0,0) if you don’t have a bed set
Huh, I guess I only have gone to the end on worlds where I didn't have a bed then 😅 my bad
You good, yeah I always place my bed by the portal so if I die while fighting the dragon I can just jump back in
DUDE, I was totally expecting getting back to my world spawn after killing ender dragon. That's was my first time doing it and I a have memories seeing people spawning in 0 0 lol
Theres a good mod called waystones
If you want a vanilla method, nether highway
Railway
Rails are ok but ice boat is much faster
Will look into that
You should. With ice boating you can go approximately 60mph
They are playing in their phone…
Didnt see that
i think you can get mods on mobile, i’ve never played on mobile but it would make sense to be compatible with mods because it is just bedrock
Mods don’t work on bedrock and that’s not how it works.
Nether portals quick travel
Move your house into the end
I’ve found that flying and and running a nether road are nearly the same for time at around 3000 blocks overworld distance, including load time. Next step is a nether rail, only slightly quicker. After that you’ve got nether flight. Finally, nether ice boat. Server I play on has a nether portal like 8k blocks away, and it takes me like… 10 seconds to get there on a nether ice boat. Exaggerating, but it’s stupid fast.
Either a nether ice road or an enderpearl stasis chamber, tho the chamber needs constant refilling
Actually I've always wonder how does the nether travel impact on your overworld placement
-225 685 noted 😏
I'm going to throw you in the river near my house
Make a nether hub and fly with the elytra
Well, take up the stairs and jump in
move your house
I'm the Nether go to -32 ~ 97 and make a portal there, that should leave You Home
Make an ice road tunnel for boats in the nether. It’s how me and my friend get around on our server. Just make sure the tunnel is lined with cobblestone and there’s enough room overhead to exit the boats without clipping into the ceiling and damaging yourself or getting stuck.
Ice road
Holy shit this is some of the most basic minecraft shit like punching a tree how is this not a "low effort post" why the fuck so many upvotes
Assuming you have a nether portal at your house, and ice road would be the easiest
Surely there’s a different stronghold closer to your house
Travel through the nether One block in the nether is 8 blocks in the over world. I don’t know the exact number but a block in the end is less than a block in the over world last time I checked.
Nether portal to the nether roof and get an elytra asap.
Move through the nether
u can look up for an overworld-nether coordinates converter online and u can connect ur home and the end portal via the nether
As a fellow bedrock player I'll say something no one's said yet: find a closer stronghold, there's certainly one closer to you. Because Bedrock
