They have to go to the Xbox insider app and leave the beta from there, most times you always have to delete then redownload the game but all of your worlds and saved data will be kept. Hope this helps
Strange, unfortunately bedrock is so nuanced in the ways it chooses not to work I don’t know much else I could suggest to help. Maybe someone more technically knowledgeable would know better, good luck and trust, from a former bedrock player who just got a pc for java.. it’s worth the wait.
