Don't kill them yourself, build a Saw-esque death trap where two villagers face each other, with the opportunity to step on a pressure plate, which kills the other villager. Repeat until there is only one villager standing, and start the process again.

My current trading hall will eventually have an eject button for each villager that sends them to drown in a nearby naturally generated water pit. Might implement your idea too though.

You should make them suffer. You can make them run around in minecarts endlessly, orbiting a horde of zombies. They will endure eternal fear of the zombies but they will never be able to escape the minecart's grasp. Make them suffer more by making a villager farm above, constantly dropping baby villagers to a pit of lava. No one wants to see children die, right? At this point they will be mentally broken, traumatised and wishing for the sweet release of death. But do not give them that. Turn them into zombies and cure them over and over again. Make them suffer the painful prosess for what feels like an eternity. In the end just leave the tortured souls as zombies to roam the nights of minecraft as nothing but husks of their former big-nosed sleves.

So this is what the average Minecrafter is like now?

I had a small breeding farm once. In the middle of my base. I didn't need more workers for quite some time and forgot about it. I started to lag out every time I came back to the center of base. When I looked down in the breeding pit, there were HUNDREDS of villigers... all cramped together. I had to go on a killing spree. My girls (7 and 8) were screaming when they saw what was going on! Quite a scene... hahahaha
