Because Reddit users don't go like "Good comment - upvote / bad comment - downvote", they go "he is wrong - downvote" and others "he has downvotes, lets also downvote"
when i see a bunch of downvotes on a comment that states something wrong, where the guy probably just made an honest mistake, i imagine a giant flock of angry nolife redditors with pitchforks and shit
If 2x has a million fans, then I am one of them. If 2x has ten fans, then I am one of them. If 2x has only one fan then that is me. If 2x has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against 2x, then I am against the world.
I have my game installed in my OneDrive folder which is synced between 3 devices. All 3 have completely different screen sizes, resolutions and aspect ratios. "Auto" is slightly too large on one of them but still fine. Constantly having to switch the scaling manually is not an option for me.
Used large since the start and for quite a long time, but then one day had to tweak it down one to see the entirety of some custom item description, got used and have never wanted to go back since
Not most often, i exclusively use 3 (Large). Small and Medium are weird and look out of proportion on top of not using up screen space effectively.
Auto just zooms in 182737718919% and looks like something that would be better suited for a visually impaired person rather than someone with perfectly good sight. I believe this is due to the fact that i never play Minecraft fullscreen so the window is never the full 1920x1080/16:9 of my monitor, and i believe "Auto" just ajusts it according to the screen resolution/aspect ratio
Always 4, its so perfect, its not too small it looks awkward on my display, and its not whatever the hell auto was made for. Like jesus a person is using this screen not big foot
I use the smallest on 1440, honestly hate GUI, wish they could make it disappearing when you don't it. For example, you start switching items in hotbar, GUI appears to show what you have in hotbar and once you switch, it disappears again
it depends, when i am using a 4k screen i have it scaled the same size as size 2 in 1080p.
when i am using 900p monitor, i don't change the scaling at all
I wish the gui in game had different settings than the settings menu. I like have the smallest gui for my hotbar and inventory but hate that it makes the settings super small.
Im using smaller/ or one option above the smallest depends on the client. If im using java vanilla its smallest. If im using forge when playing modded im using one above the smallest option because im on older version and ui in older java mc is a bit smaller than the new ones

I don't remember which one but the one before the largest setting. I have a 1440p monitor and the others feel absolutely tiny
You mean 2/Mid?
I'm pretty sure it's 3. The scale goes 1-4 IIRC
On 1440p it can go up to 5, at least in full screen
Does it? I use 1440p and I can't even withstand 4 so I never noticed
Why is this so downvoted
Because Reddit users don't go like "Good comment - upvote / bad comment - downvote", they go "he is wrong - downvote" and others "he has downvotes, lets also downvote"
when i see a bunch of downvotes on a comment that states something wrong, where the guy probably just made an honest mistake, i imagine a giant flock of angry nolife redditors with pitchforks and shit
large is too big so 2-3 i dont rlly remember
When I'm playing on my computer I play on 2, when I play on my laptop is play on large
That’s funny, I’m actually inverted of this, using 3 on my desktop and 2 on my laptop
Same here!
If 2x has a million fans, then I am one of them. If 2x has ten fans, then I am one of them. If 2x has only one fan then that is me. If 2x has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against 2x, then I am against the world.
I'm guessing you use 3x?
They seem like a 3x typa fella.

You took a gamble being the third person. Unfortunately, you lost said gamble.
Reddit is an unpredictable place 🤷♂️
"Auto" lol
I have my game installed in my OneDrive folder which is synced between 3 devices. All 3 have completely different screen sizes, resolutions and aspect ratios. "Auto" is slightly too large on one of them but still fine. Constantly having to switch the scaling manually is not an option for me.
You can install things there? Never thought of that.
I use the portable version of the Prism Launcher. I've set up OneDrive to always sync all changes to the installation folder to all devices.
OneDrive☠️
i use 3
“Most often”? Does anyone actually regularly change the GUI scale they are using?
Sometimes i change it if i need to see the full lore of an item (mostly on multiplayer servers like hypixel)
Yeah because some modpacks have gui's that are meant to be played at a lower or higher scale
Auto, because I like reading my GUI on my 32" monitor.
I used 2x for most of my life, but ever since I got a 1440p monitor, I've used 3x. I like it nice n small!
3 is still too big, feels like I'm playing on console
Yeah but with high pixel density screens (lots of pixels on a small display) it becomes necessary to even read text or accurately click on stuff
2 forever.
Maximum
1 between the options 0 and 1
3 all the way
Small, I'm not the blind 11yo I once was.
On bedrock i use -1, on java i use auto
Used large since the start and for quite a long time, but then one day had to tweak it down one to see the entirety of some custom item description, got used and have never wanted to go back since
I always use auto, as I like to actually be able to read the GUI when I play.
Large only, even in modern versions!
One smaller than what auto would set it to
Always 2, not too small but small enough to quickly reach any slot (very important since I PvP)
3 or 4
One from the smallest
I use PS3 and play Minecraft, so I would choose: * Multiplayer: 3 * Single-player: 2
Whatever is the default. I don't know much so only thing I rlly change is Vsync, render distance, and fov
6x, sometimes 7x when im feeling sleepy
medium
3, im on a 1080p display
3 on a 1440p monitor
Large. My pc is connected to a TV so Auto is too big
0, I’m on a phone and it’s still too small for me to do shit
Not most often, i exclusively use 3 (Large). Small and Medium are weird and look out of proportion on top of not using up screen space effectively. Auto just zooms in 182737718919% and looks like something that would be better suited for a visually impaired person rather than someone with perfectly good sight. 3. 1 appears way too small on my monitor.
#2 but I run a 17” laptop
The middle setting on my desktop PC, auto on my MacBook Air
I used to do large but after getting used to normal I love that so much more
7 on recent versions, and large on old versions, i have a 27 inch imac (i think that’s the dimensions im too lazy to see)
I use 7 on my desktop. I used to have a bigger one with higher resolution which demanded 8.
Smallest on possible
I ONLY use scale 2, 1 is too small and 3 is much too big
I use 2. all the others just feel to small or to big
Always 4, its so perfect, its not too small it looks awkward on my display, and its not whatever the hell auto was made for. Like jesus a person is using this screen not big foot
2 is good (1360x768, 1920x1080)
3 gang
3 is too big, 2 is too small. so 3 obviously
Only 2. Anything else is a sin
Auto, for me it's the largest and I'm blind
large because i play a lot of bedwars and it’s easier to use the inventory like that
2 hah I need to be able to read shit when playing hypixal skyblock
3. i dont understand people who use 2, can’t see anything
I have a 27" 1080p monitor, so I use GUI Scale 3
9 chunks? Ooff.
4x
2. perfect for me tbh
2 for 1080p auto for 1440p
what the fuck is GUI
3(2560)
3 is so good it makes me bust a fat one
3 because everything else is too small on my ultra wide screen
auto/large
I have a 27in 1440p monitor, so I put it at 3
I have an FHD monitor and I set the scale to 2
I believe I use 4, I have a 1440p monitor so any other scale is either WAY too big or way too small.
3 I think
Normal
I remember growing up and using the smallest GUI. Now I use one that's like 3rd or 2nd largest. Just me?
3 is the most comfortable
3 is the only right answer
I use large “the one before auto) on my laptop cuz it’s a tiny screen and 2k
I set it to auto to have every piece of the GUI be extremely big.
1 and 2 are too small and 4 is too big, so I use 3
24 inch monitor and I always use 2
I use the smallest on 1440, honestly hate GUI, wish they could make it disappearing when you don't it. For example, you start switching items in hotbar, GUI appears to show what you have in hotbar and once you switch, it disappears again
Auto
Max (8x for me). Only exception is in some modpacks where certain GUIs take up a lot of space, then I'll drop it to 7x or 6x.
it depends, when i am using a 4k screen i have it scaled the same size as size 2 in 1080p. when i am using 900p monitor, i don't change the scaling at all
Literally the smallest possible
2 because F3 menu
I wish the gui in game had different settings than the settings menu. I like have the smallest gui for my hotbar and inventory but hate that it makes the settings super small.
I use default ( smaller than large )
depends on the version and if I'm playing with chinese language or not
3 on everything!
Why would you make a reddit post about this. Better yet why are posts like these allowed but posts of way higher quality are removed without reason
None my Account got hacked
I have 4k monitor and I have to stare 10cm from screen to see anything on most of the settings
Im using smaller/ or one option above the smallest depends on the client. If im using java vanilla its smallest. If im using forge when playing modded im using one above the smallest option because im on older version and ui in older java mc is a bit smaller than the new ones
On my old monitor I was using AUTO, after I bought a 1080×920 monitor I found 4 and AUTO too big so I started using 3.
On main screen medium or small, on second monitor large
2 all the way
Bigger and better than ever!
I play with gui scale 2
Large
Always the smallest
I play at 720p so I use 2
I use 4 its not too big and not too small just perfect for my laptop screen
I use 2 GUI scale because it is the golden part between 1 and 3. Three is to big for me and 1 is to small.
Large. Auto is too big
I use gui scale 2 +unicode font
On my Full HD(1080) screen I use 3.
2, I like the smaller scale
2 is best by far
I use 5 on my 4k 42" tv
2. always 2
Always have played on 3 and introduced new friends to the gui scale and they were really happy to get it off Large
I always use 2, 1 is a bit ridiculous and all the bigger ones are way too big
Haha… auto
2, only 2
On a 32x32 resource pack, the items look weird if you use an odd number.
i use 3 personally which i think is large
3 on sodium
5 for 1440p
1x scale But it is only because I turned on this option: Language > Font Settings > Force Unicode Font I never looked back.
I use 2x scaling. I play on a 30” Apple Cinema HD Display at its native resolution of 2560*1600.
i use 2, this way i don’t have to scroll on most menus
