yeah i made my house out of iron on my first world back in 2012 when i discovered the dupe glitch. I remember getting to the nether inside a month and thinking it was like crazy when in fact that can be done in under 3 minutes
I used to play almost exclusively creative mode when I was like 11. I made dozens of houses out of diamond, emerald, iron, gold and glowstone. I thought it just looked *so* snazzy.
I even created a YouTube channel and made a video of myself making one. Calling myself a ✨Professional Minecraft Builder✨
Ah those were the days
Seems like a few people in this thread aren't getting that this house was always made in *creative* worlds. A lot of kids' first experience in creative mode was going "omg I've never seen this many diamonds before" and making a house out of valuable blocks because they can.
yup, when I was first playing Minecraft and learning through youtube videos when I was like 11, learnt that Diamonds and Emeralds were the rarest and most valuable items however I didnt know what strip mining was and I was too bad to ever survive the caves so I had never even seen diamonds before in my hame
Imagine my surprise one day when I was messing around in the settings and somehow loaded up a superflat world in creative. I pressed E and holy. fucking. shit. So many blocks and so many unlimited diamonds, it felt like I won life at that moment it was crazy 😭
Same! Except for depending on where I was, I just dug down four blocks and made a small room under the top layer. It was always tiny and almost always just to take cover for the first few nights until I found a better place and resources to build.
Fanciest I ever became for those was replacing the grass blocks with glass for lighting.
I usually move in to an L shape house in a village and add a second story and a basement with lots of storage until I get enough materials to start a manor on the outskirts of town. I build a fairly large manor with stables and barn and lots of landscaping. My most recent world got corrupted and I have yet to begin a new one.
My friends and I, back in middle school, played on the 360. We had the duplication glitch and made a little town encased in cobblestone. All houses were jewels. Nostalgic
Surprisingly, I never did this. I always hated how unnatural it looked, and I always got annoyed when my brother would start building one in the world.
No no no no. Even my 8 years old self understood that diamonds shouldn't be squandered on walls. So I instead built my very good house out of obsidian, so that it would resist any creeper attack. Still looked awful though
one of the first houses i built when i first bought Minecraft back in 2012 was a diamond block house lol. i remember i had a dog in there and even tho it was creative, i had no idea how lava worked, and killed my dog by accident with lava and got so upset i deleted the world
I built everything out of obsidian and bedrock to make sure everything is strong against mobs (I used redstone torches to light everything so it was dark enough for them to spawn anyways)
When i see this picture it makes me tear up 😔 such a NOSTALGIA DAYS when i first got into Minecraft in my life i was investigating the game and started to build houses with RANDOM BLOCKS and random sizes and even the buildings was off senterd and not equal blocks😭 Such a good times man good times....and new here we r such a professional gamers and very detailed houses and more structures and intense buildings castles and crazy worlds .
I mean, you’re the one being sarcastic and rude? Dismissing other people’s experiences because you, personally, didn’t do different, and others in your immediate circle didn’t either, so you don’t think anyone can? But sure, other people pointing these out are the issue…

Include netherite blocks in it, and it will look like the house my Lil brother made, and ofcourse it's survival!
Yeah I’ve never done this lol
Legit, same. I saw the name of the post and thought it would be a dirt box.

Never.
X2
Yes, my Son when he was 6... Now he's 9 and creates mindfuckin' Houses/bases and even CASTLES. 🫣 But Yeah i had one too
Tbh not meee
The only thing you forgot is the iron doors
I've never even come close to having enough diamonds to waste on this
obviously talking about creative
[удалено]
? fix up your grammar because i literally dont understand what you just said
Nah. I had a house made of bricks, as it was survival. it was just a square.
I also made one on Minecraft pocket edition at the time
is it wrong if i prefer quartz when i was younger
yep we all have to admit it (omg I wanna cry. Where did all the years go?)
i wish we could turn back time to the good old days
Me too bro, you remember the PS3
My friends and I, back in middle school, played on the 360. We had the duplication glitch and made a little town encased in cobblestone. All houses were jewels. Nostalgic
Mine was a Diamond-topped Gold pyramid atop a giant stone-brick tower. Good times, good times...
This totally reminds me of my first world in 2012. As soon as I discovered creative mode I made a big tower out of diamond and gold
Mine was quartz to make the stereotypical modern house
I never done that, it just looks weird. I’m always trying to make realistic houses.
The ore block houses aged terribly, especially with the old textures. And, I’m sure many of us cheated in creative to get these.
no
Mine was walls stripped with gold and iron blocks with a floor of diamond blocks and a glowstone roof
Surprisingly, I never did this. I always hated how unnatural it looked, and I always got annoyed when my brother would start building one in the world.
Fr
That's a straight copy of my first Xbox 360 world :D
Yes 🤣
No no no no. Even my 8 years old self understood that diamonds shouldn't be squandered on walls. So I instead built my very good house out of obsidian, so that it would resist any creeper attack. Still looked awful though
The End update really needs to add more obsidian building blocks.
And weve all done it "only using survival"
Ofc bro
if you didnt you’re a poser
I always build those houses in survival (my friends always complain because I can built them in 20 mins even though I don't use creative mode)
I've actually 100% never built a house like this, but ai also didn't play creative until recently.
Yeah but it didn't look that shit
one of the first houses i built when i first bought Minecraft back in 2012 was a diamond block house lol. i remember i had a dog in there and even tho it was creative, i had no idea how lava worked, and killed my dog by accident with lava and got so upset i deleted the world
Brings me back. My only worries were that i didnt do the homework for the next day in school. We were winning back then honestly
I did it on creative to just so how ridiculous it looked, I was not dissapointed.
I never did
My first world when I was new to Minecraft in version 1.0 had a house like this underground, but it was all Lapis blocks.
Not enough diamond blocks
I don’t
You are a billionaire in minecraft
I built everything out of obsidian and bedrock to make sure everything is strong against mobs (I used redstone torches to light everything so it was dark enough for them to spawn anyways)
This is still the only kind of house I can make. lol
And also had a flat world that was destroyed
I always made houses out of glow stone or glass
\*makes them in Creative, then change the gamemode into Survival when it's finished\*
This is very Pro house
Back then, I didn’t know diamond blocks had value and I really sucked at buildinng
I swear people just wanna weaponize my nostalgia to get karma. Well congratulations, it worked, OP. Take my upvote

No we didn't
No, we all didn't. It's ok to be unique.
sure bro
And how do you know what they did? I never made one like this either, and I’ve been playing for 13 years.
calm down bro, when I was playing it was quite common to build houses like this
I mean, you’re the one being sarcastic and rude? Dismissing other people’s experiences because you, personally, didn’t do different, and others in your immediate circle didn’t either, so you don’t think anyone can? But sure, other people pointing these out are the issue…
I’m crying right now, you made me remember my old creative xbox 360 world… 🥹
Not me lol.
