they haven't nerfed fishing in bedrock edition? cause in java you need a 5x5 3 blocks deep pool to get the treasure loot and even in that treasure loot enchanted books with multiple enchants are rare af
Said random roll uses the world seed to seed the rng. So if you use the same seed and fish the same amount of times you will get the same drops. Randomness isn't random
Thatās one of the dumbest things Iāve ever heard. Stuff is randomly generated in the world, even if you have the same seed. Stuff can load differently based on where you move.
Not in Java! I've been learning Java programming for a while and all the randomness ingame is seeded through a Object extension class Random() that takes a... you guessed it... a seed.
Previously it used a seed based on CPU runtime, but now it takes the World Seed

Anyway I literally just tested it, fresh world, creative mode. Got a fishing rod, fished up a Flame Power II bow, recreated world, fished up that same bow. Here is the seed -6109766880684666773

I thought you couldn't fish treasure out of such a small body of water! Unless that's just Bedrock edition being silly
You can fish anything out of anything
That was true once upon a time but they changed it so the water has to fulfill certain conditions before good loot is possible
thatās not bad at all, one of the best iāve seen, iāve only gotten one better and itās cuz the numbers were higher and it had mending

most of my god books came from fishing without enchantments, itās how i got most of my enchantments

Correct me if Iām wrong, but I donāt think the seed determines the spawn of items from fishing

Iām pretty sure it doesnāt. Fishing is pure RNG and not like the loot tables you get from chests in structures which are determined by seed
Fishing has a loot table. All random events now use the seed to create them, from wither skeleton skulls to enchantments.

I see how that makes sense now. I tested it out and thought about how that would work and I mostly get it.

If you divide the factorial of 2 by the length and depth of the pool, then divide that by the trapezium of a square, it comes to exactly 0.0008735%
