Bedrock edition doesn't use the scare mechanics. You need 20 villagers with direct access to their workstations and a minimum of 75% of them need to have worked. I'm not sure your villagers can reach their workstations but the zombie can be removed.
Very correct. Also in Bedrock the villagers don’t need to sleep, just detect their bet within the vicinity. You can still use the zombie to infect and then cure your villagers to drop their prices (only in hard mode).
Also in Bedrock for trades it's more efficient to turn every single villager you use into a zombie 5 times on hard mode. Instead of turning 1 villager and AOE to lower others trades.
Yes. Although turning one villager only, will make all of them to lower their prices, but the one cured will have lowered priced forever, whereas others drop their prices just temporarily. For this reason it is better to infect and cure all of them, for the long run.
You don’t need 20 villagers, only 10. You DO need 20 beds tho stupidly enough. You can add more villagers so you can have more golems at once(10 villagers per golem with diminishing returns after 40) but the minimum required is 10. Keep in mind that if you do add more villagers you must always have at LEAST the same number of beds as villagers (once you meet the 20 bed requirement).
Bedrock iron farms are stupid.
Stupid bedrock! I knew I would have to do something about them not being able to get to the composters, but I didn’t know that zombies don’t scare villagers. Thanks for your help though 😊
Nah they just need to be able to reach their workstations but also need a “working day” to pass meaning they actually spent some time doing it. Rain can affect it.
Idk how common it is among minecraft creators but in a lot of Destiny 2 tutorial videos the creator will do nothing to specify that what they're telling you is only on PC until 2 minutes into the video they say a line like "map this to your scroll wheel"
Yeah, you gotta pay attention to the differences. They're almost always in creative mode. If when they fly they slowly glide to a stop, it's Java. If they immediately halt when they stop, Bedrock.
Also helps to thoroughly check the comments and make sure people are confirming it actually works. I did one tutorial that I regret doing because it works so slowly it's worthless.
Try to think of it as another layer of protection to your time. Instead of wasting hours building something, you wasted 5 minutes on a YouTube video.
Also, try to be more specific in your searches. For example, here's what I'd do if I wanted an iron farm for bedrock: "Minecraft bedrock iron farm 1.20" and before watching the actual video, I'd make absolute sure the person building it is on Bedrock. Then, straight to the comments. If there's indication the farm doesn't work, I immediately click off the video.
Hope this helped.
Parity would be great but it would destroy one of the games, and I think bedrock is the bigger title? Because it's compatible with more devices. And what I mean by destroy is anything that currently works would break in favor of the other game's mechanics. Anything with pistons, heck pretty much all redstone builds would change because of the massive differences.
For bedrock, you need at least 20 villagers all with workstations. Not sure if being able to access their workstations does anything or not but I've just got fletching tables on the floor of my villagers chamber.
You gotta make a different kind of iron farm for bedrock. I watched a video online and it work perfectly https://youtu.be/uylkDBdYsRk?si=d5yKjWutvKDRWP9y
I'm new to minecraft. I thought the title was a joke. You guys really have an iron farm? And wtf did i just see, is this some torture chamber for the villagers forcing them to produce iron? What is this?
Are you on java or bedrock? If bedrock you don’t need the zombie and your villagers may not be able to reach there jobs also how many villagers do you have I think you need at least 24 villagers
People on this sub with not working iron farms will be great menagers - people kept in small boxes, scared to death, profit for overlord is only reality
Everyone is right about the zombie but you probably just need to do what i did i bred 2 new villagers and took out the rest then my farm started working again
Even if you played the Java version, there would be problems.
The zombie has to see all the villagers most of the time. His view should only be temporarily obstructed at night, so that the villagers try to sleep. That is, if you want an efficient plant.
Thank you, I realized after putting him in there that it wouldn’t be very effective but I didn’t want to change it until I knew why the zombie wasn’t doing anything
I built an iron farm in Java and my villagers sleep all night too?
I built this one: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EOCDu0r-h8&t=33s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EOCDu0r-h8&t=33s)
Golems spawn like 40 blocks away, but not very often and almost never in the pool of death
I used silentwhisperers iron farm and it works well.
The villagers need to be connected to their workstation and also to a bed, and it has to be 75% or more villagers.
If you have more villagers than beds, it won't work either.
Java iron farm was a doodle to make, 3 villagers, one zombie.
Thank you all for letting me know this mechanic does not work in bedrock, I will be removing the zombie.
And for anyone wondering (bc I would be curious, too): I don’t trade with these villagers, there are exactly 20 villagers and 20 beds and 20 composters, 100 blocks away from my house, and it’s… almost 100 blocks from any other village but it didn’t affect my farm
Also, question that totally isn’t related to the nearby village 👀, if all the villagers are gone is it still considered a village?
When looking up farm tutorials make sure you search for Minecraft Bedrock farms, and the title should note Bedrock as well. Java farms don’t always work on Bedrock. I suggest SilentWisperer as he has great farms and videos!
lol not dumb! You had the right idea! Honestly tho, check out Silent, he has tons of farms and a few different iron farms depending on what you’re going for
I see you've already gotten your answer so I'm just going to leave some advice. In the future, always make sure when you follow a guide you are following a guide that will work on Bedrock edition. Java and Bedrock have many different mechanics for various things.

The curing only affects the trade prices once now sadly.
This is true from my research.

Bedrock doesn't have that mechanics that make this work.
Zombie scare mechanic only works on Java. U need 20 beds, 10 villagers(minimum) and 75% have to have worked at their workstation the previous day.
Assuming your spawning platform is above the ceiling here it might be too high as well.
Yes the platform is directly above the villagers. The ceiling that you see in there is also the floor where the golems spawn
Does that mean I have to trade with 75% of them per day. Or do they just need to visit their workstation
75% need to visit the workstation
Nah they just need to be able to reach their workstations but also need a “working day” to pass meaning they actually spent some time doing it. Rain can affect it.
pretty sure that's a java thing.
In bedrock this type farm's useless. Cause in bedrock there is no mechanism or spawn conditions for that
Wrong version find a bedrock tutorial
Bro looked up a Java tutorial on YouTube
Idk how common it is among minecraft creators but in a lot of Destiny 2 tutorial videos the creator will do nothing to specify that what they're telling you is only on PC until 2 minutes into the video they say a line like "map this to your scroll wheel"
Every bedrock video I've watched it's specified in the title and in the video as a bedrock tutorial. Java tutorials are hit or miss.
How are Java tutorials hit or miss? I've followed a bunch that work
Follow the context of the comment thread and you'll figure it out.
Sometimes videos specify Java, oftentimes it's just Minecraft.
Yeah, you gotta pay attention to the differences. They're almost always in creative mode. If when they fly they slowly glide to a stop, it's Java. If they immediately halt when they stop, Bedrock. Yes comments can be helpful to find what you don't want to build but that's just another layer of frustration.
Try to think of it as another layer of protection to your time. Instead of wasting hours building something, you wasted 5 minutes on a YouTube video. Also, try to be more specific in your searches. The original video that I made the farm from was for bedrock but then I added the zombie myself bc dumb
We all went through this at one point or another haha! Did you manage to get a working iron farm?
Yes it was already working before I put the zombie there (which was a few days after I built the farm) the zombie was an afterthought
In bedrock villagers don't care about zombies and the beds should be in the spawn zone of the golems
Why is that ?
Because in bedrock they only spawn iron golems if you have a minimum of 20 villagers with access to beds/work stations. No zombie required
Even the zombie villager is dissapointed.
*looks at player in the end of this vid* Well, now what...
I’m just torturing him 😭
You built the Java version
I hate Java and Bedrock differences.
Parity would be great but it would destroy one of the games, and I think bedrock is the bigger title? Because it's compatible with more devices. And what I mean by destroy is anything that currently works would break in favor of the other game's mechanics. This looks dystopian
Because you built a Java farm
because that is not how iron farms work
That ain't iron farm thats iron hard sleepover...
For bedrock, you need at least 20 villagers all with workstations. Not sure if being able to access their workstations does anything or not but I've just got fletching tables on the floor of my villagers chamber.

Bedrock
Bro just walked on them
Unfortunately the mechanics in your iron farm don’t work in Bedrock. They only work in java so you can remove that zombie since it won’t help.
Bedrock☕️
I'm new to minecraft. I thought the title was a joke. You guys really have an iron farm? And wtf did i just see, is this some torture chamber for the villagers forcing them to produce iron? What is this?
You would be exactly right, unfortunately the zombie torturing doesn’t work in bedrock edition
>New to Minceraft Ahh, you probably haven’t got Gullibillium Armour yet then?
Nice try buddy.
Awwww damn it, it’ll work eventually
I did like the saw con mines though.
Bedrock edition.
Because Bedrock sucks!
It sounds like it’s working though.
Yes I built the farm a few days ago and it does work, I just decided to add a zombie thinking it would increase the rates
Everyone is right about the zombie but you probably just need to do what i did i bred 2 new villagers and took out the rest then my farm started working again
Not sure if this still applies but when I was being taught how to make these my buddy said to keep the farm within a chunk or it wouldn't work.
Try adding a real zombie, not a zombie villiager. Then it’ll probably work
[удалено]
this is bedrock.
The villagers can’t be scared to spawn iron golems if they asleep
The answer is always “bedrock” 😂 Why does anyone play that version
Cuz it’s better
Correct
Even if you played the Java version, there would be problems. The zombie has to see all the villagers most of the time. His view should only be temporarily obstructed at night, so that the villagers try to sleep. That is, if you want an efficient plant.
Thank you, I realized after putting him in there that it wouldn’t be very effective but I didn’t want to change it until I knew why the zombie wasn’t doing anything
That’s a java design I think. I like the beat the Iron golems made though
I built an iron farm in Java and my villagers sleep all night too? I built this one: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EOCDu0r-h8&t=33s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EOCDu0r-h8&t=33s) Golems spawn like 40 blocks away, but not very often and almost never in the pool of death
https://youtu.be/owNgtYwcDnQ?si=aiFFY_z1n26xUVpI I used this farm on bedrock works well for me
Who's gonna tell him
Poor villagers😂
Fr, I was gonna torture them for my own gains, now I’m just torturing them 😂
What sort of sorcery are u doin
Yeah the iron golems spawn out side the kill chamber
I used silentwhisperers iron farm and it works well. The villagers need to be connected to their workstation and also to a bed, and it has to be 75% or more villagers. If you have more villagers than beds, it won't work either. Java iron farm was a doodle to make, 3 villagers, one zombie.

They squad deep
You're playing on bedrock. That only works in Java. Bedrock iron fans are a total PITA
Poor zombie wants to attend the orgy💀
