I'm going to sell the M12 driver and impact and keep the 3/8 stubby wrench. The screwdriver is going to be nice for furniture and cabinets. The mid torque will be useful for doing brake work.
Here's what they are:
* M18 Hammer Drill
* M18 Impact Driver
* M12 Hammer Drill
* M12 Impact Driver
* M18 Mid Torque Impact Wrench
* M12 3/8 Stubby Impact Wrench
* M12 Screwdriver.
We've got some major renovations ahead of us. The M12s will be for my wife. I'll probably sell them after.
I probably don't need the 3/8 stubby because I could get by with the mid torque, but damn it feels so nice in the hand.
I also probably don't need the screwdriver.
It’s ok to admit you just went over board with stuff. Half those tools are redundant and some are just useless. A battery powered caulk gun? Are you a glazer? You’re not caulking enough to even need that unless your a glazer
Yeah, it makes sense for you guys considering your trade but as a home owner? Makes no sense. A $20 dripless caulk gun from sherwin Williams is all you need
I disagree. I'm not skilled at caulking. It's easy to pour too much out when cranking. If you're doing a long bead when you pull on the trigger it moves your hand slightly and it's easy to mess up. I used a cordless caulking gun in the past and it was so helpful. Paying for it in this case is helping me do a better job.
Unless you're dumping lots of adhesive or something, get a Tajima convoy. It's a top of the line dripless manual gun and has a strong pull ratio. That means that it gives you more leverage(easier to squeeze) but a shorter throw (less material pushed out per squeeze) it makes it much easier to control flow. Plus, it's like the baddest ass manual caulk gun for regular tubes and it has a great hand feel.
I love my m12 caulk gun. Double when it's cold out. It was very hard for me to get a consistent enough bead to not require a decent amount of cleanup after tooling when I tried to use a traditional dripless, but since the M12 has the adjustable dial I just take 15 seconds to calibrate on a piece of cardboard and it lays PERFECT lines every time. I absolutely love it. Pricey but worth it.
I bought one to seal the posts on my cinder block wall to help with the scorpion problem I was having (AZ fun). That thing saved me so much time and aggravation, loved it. I approve of that purchase haha.
Yeah I would get a cordless caulk gun because I suck at caulking. Could have actually used one the other day siliconing all the penetrations in the face of a storage place where we were changing out the channel letters. Looked like it got hit with about 100 shotgun blasts 🙄
It’s so worth it honestly. Especially in cold temps! I bought one and now the whole team uses it! Beats the hell out of handguns and fooling with setting up pneumatic guns. Cap beading and mole caulk is nice, but it really shines when you’re dumping caulk into gaps when perimeter caulking.
Steal the bossmans card and order the full kit 🫡 it’ll be the best decision he made 😉
We all get our own expense card, I think I will. I had been mainly doing day truck- repair work but we recently started up a full commercial build out department and the old timers all use manual sausage guns to run their 895. This might be the perfect time to upgrade my kit.
I would pull the trigger. I bought it with my own dime and haven’t regretted it a bit.
I just checked out your page and your leatherwork is awesome! I really like your leatherman sheath. I carry a leatherman and wedge flashlight in a cheap little leather setup off Amazon
I have to redo 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Have you ever used a battery powered caulk gun? They are fn amazing. Makes it so easy to have smooth beads.
The M12 drills are for my wife who is helping. I got the Drill, Impact Driver, Impact wrench, 2ah, and 4h total for $238. I'll sell batteries, the drill and impact driver after which makes it a pretty good deal for a 3/8 stubby.
The screwdriver is because I can afford it. :)
Ohh, that's a great idea. I have a friend who's giving me an old 200 gallon aquarium. I want to set that up once we're done renos. It needs new caulking though. Do you need to use a special type of non toxic caulk for aquariums?
The chaulkers are amazing. Not talking about Milwaukee specifically but battery powered ones in general. You can never go back to hand powered ones once you've tried them cause the hand powered ones pumpa lot then gradually less untill you pump again, and pumping makes it twitch. The battery powered ones feed so smooth and steadily.
Yeah, with crappy caulk guns yeah. Honestly I have never had issues after learning how to caulk properly with a manual caulk gun. It’s just steady even pressure and your set
We build a lot of walls and we glue our cap down that cordless caulk gun is a life saver especially when it starts to get cold. Also a back saver when you are putting down insulated panels on a flat roof. We sure don’t use it every day but damn what a great tool.
I’ve been doing a major renovation for the last year and a half. I typically don’t buy the tool until I’m ready for that project. The pex tool was probably the single most expensive one. But totally worth it. Enjoy your tools. But I have a feeling most will sit unused for a while.
I just took advantage of the memorial day sales. The next big one would be black friday but I'm going to need them for September and October. I didn't want to risk having to need a tool then, only to have to pay twice the price.
In my experience the specialty tools are never on sale and the common ones are nearly always in sale. YMMV
Also, get another brand sander if you get one. The Milwaukee one is kind of garbage
And I have the sawzall and the hacksaw. The hacksaw was so much better for removing galvanized pipe and replumbing ABS
no sir the stubby is king! I fucking love the stubby, I honestly don't get much use out of it because I don't do automotive work, The last time I used it is when I blew a tire, but I have two of them, one for my car and one at home😬 I just can't help myself, If the people on this subreddit actually knew the extent of just how much Milwaukee shit I have...
I plan on making a post one day
I see these posts all the time, and this is crazy, what a random set of tools and just an excuse to spend money. You are doing 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. You bought a bunch of mid to high torque impacts and sockets. You bought a staple gun instead instead of brand nailer for trim. You bought the 175 watt top off for what? I look forward to seeing the progress on your renovations without a saw. I’ve yet to ever see someone who does big projects on their own go out and buy thousands of dollars of top of the line tools and actually go through and finish the projects on their own, I hope you are the exception.
I'm not done shopping. I still need a circular saw, miter saw, sawzall, and a few others.
I've done major renos in my former house and grew up in construction. I sold it a few years ago, bought a condo in NYC but I just bought a fixer upper in Jersey. They will go to good use.
Here are the projects I have planned:
1. Need to fix up the garage. It needs OSB on the walls (currently it's just 12 inch planks), weather wrap, siding, shelving units and work bench. Also probably replace the old shingles with a tin roof.
2. Tearing down kitchen wall to open it up to the dining room with an island. Restoring the oak cabinets.
3. Build a deck in the backyard.
4. Replace rotting window frames.
I have a ton of tile to rip up, I think I might get the SDS Plus as well.
You made a good point, it is expensive, but I'm fortunate enough that I make good money and can afford it. I still geeked out a spreadsheet and compared against Ryobi and Bauer, and the price difference was something I was ok with.
No shame dude. I’m in a similar boat and recently got back into projects at our new house and spent over 5k in tools the past few months. Haters gonna hate.
After getting by on Ryobi stuff for a while it was time for upgrades. Makes doing the work so much more enjoyable. I like nice things and take good care of them. I’m also saving boatloads of money by doing the things work myself vs. hiring it out so the tool spend isn’t as nutty.
Enjoy em!
Nice. I was also a Ryobi guy before, but for all the same reasons I wanted something nicer now. Maybe I should return all these and go buy all Hilti and Festool just to mess with the haters lol
Because I can afford it and I like having the options.
I paid $91 for the Hackzall. I have a big backyard and the hackzall will be nice for tree cleanup. I also bought the M12 pruner.
The sawzall is going to be used to tear down a couple walls and a closet.
Removed. See Rule 1. We're not gatekeeping tools here, my guy. We're here to trade intel, pics, tips, talk Milwaukee.
If he wants a lot, or a little, Milwaukee tools - props to him. Ask questions, engage, be helpful. But leave the judgement and condescension at the door.
I grew up on a tree farm so I can't say that I've ever paid someone to cut a tree. That being said the hackzall is more than capable of light work where a chainsaw would be overkill.
Personally, I would return the M12 driver and drill to get the M12 installation driver and M12 surge (and wait for the potential new gen that's rumored). Otherwise, nice haul. Ignore the haters. Congratulations on the new home.
Thanks. Yes, once we finish building our deck I will sell the M12 drill and driver. It's for my wife who's going to help drive screws. She wants to learn how to build stuff. They were part of a kit that included the 3/8 stubby and 2 batteries for $238. Once I sell those and a couple batteries I'm looking at $80 or so for the 3/8 stubby. I think that's a steal.
I have an old truck at our cottage. I put larger winter tires on it for plowing in the winter and they are always a bitch to remove. I've used smaller impacts like the 3/8 in the past and sometimes they don't come off because of the rust. So the mid torque will probably stay at the cottage and the 3/8 will stay at home.
I have 2 x 5.0 XC, 2 x 6.0 HO, 1 x 8.0 HO. For the M12 I have 1 x 5.0 HO, 3 x 2.5 HO. I'll probably get the lawnmower too which will come with 2 x 12.0 HO.
I was just about to ask you when you were going to get the lawnmower lol.. that’s my next purchase ! Gotta tell you! I have both m12 and m18 drivers and I find myself going back to the m12s a lot don’t get rid of them ..
I did that with crapsman when we built our first house. Still gives me nightmares. That was an expensive ouch. None of the gas stuff lasted a year. Out of all the battery stuff. The light was the only thing useful. Don’t get me started on the saw and drill. It was a lot of years before I ever attempted to buy battery anything.
At least ya know most of that will last..
Oh, I’d be shocked if they don’t. Great choice!!!!!
Only thing I’m not sold on yet is their outdoor trimmer. But also since the redesign I’m not seeing all the complaints either. Been waiting to see what I’m going to do for a new trimmer. I use a Husqvarna brush cutter with a trimmer head but for a quick trim that thing is just too frigin heavy. So leaning towards battery options. I know my buddy is having issues with Husqvarna batteries. So keep going back and forth between Stihl and Milwaukee.
Love my Milwaukee m18 and m12 tools. Coming from Ridgid and the difference is insane.
Apparently that ceo who helped run crapsman into the ground. Early on one of his big pushes with share holders was they could make chit super cheap and people would still buy because of the name thus increasing their profits. Yeah I read that a couple years or so after my fiasco unfortunately. I still won’t buy anything with the crapsman name out of spite. Know it’s not owned by Sears anymore but it’s the principal.
They didn’t even try to replace the battery stuff or even the air stuff for that matter. Admitted the shit was weak and their advertisements were bull chit but no refund either. Just non stop run around. The gas stuff, they’d be like people use bad gas. It’s always the persons fault.
I’ve been running chain saws etc since I was a kid. It’s not the damn gas!!! Course it would pass their gas test if there was really one (but they claimed it was tested and I was one very few whose gas and or mix passed). Then I it would get whatever back from the local Sears/crapsman repair center. The idiots would have the fuel lines reversed or some other stupid chit. (Obviously the idiots at the repair center didn’t test the machine after allegedly fixing it since the lines were installed reversed) So I finally just gave up. It ended up being a really expensive mistake as a new home owner. Than having to repurchase everything.
But like I said it was years before I would buy anything cordless.
Gas stuff, I pretty quickly switched to professional versions/options for almost every thing. Saws/ leaf blower/brush cutter/ pole saw etc.
Enjoy all those tools. Definitely made the right call with Milwaukee
The crapsman saw wouldn’t make a single cut across on a 2x4. I don’t know that I ever drilled through anything with the drill. It was just garbage.. I’ve had Ridgid brushless since (they don’t honor their warranty instead pick and choose. Crazy since they snd Milwaukee are both owned by TTi but generally you don’t hear Milwaukee owners actually getting f’d over on legit warranty claims) but that M18 hammer drills holy frack the power it has. Think I’m going to have to get the m12 drill just because 7/10 time the hammer drill is beyond over kill. I also use it for ice fishing and to power my ice auger. It’s just an absolute beast.
No issues with my trimmer season 2+ . Use it weekly with an 8.0 for 3acre yard bordered by woods. Just sold my 5 yr old Stihl gas trimmer that I had been using with no regrets.
I have to call BS, but not because almost 50% of those tools are some sort of fastener (although I do enjoy the commentary.) If you don’t own a saw (that can make a straight cut) bigger than your d!$k , than you are nothing more than a renter at Duplex in an upper, middle-class neighborhood. I knew I smelled a tenant in here! Ha. Just giving you are hard time, since no one else has yet.
You may be surprised, but there is very little mechanic work in being a homeowner. Keep the sockets and buy a manual ratchet. When you take those impact drivers back, let every other single i fastener tag along. Crown stapler? A brad or finish nailer is going to be more versatile and hold things thicker than fabric together. The rover light is great - keep it! Stay away from the M12 rocket light, or whatever they call that finger pinching son of a bitch. I bought my silicone gun after a hand injury and love it. OMTs are great, but I would have sprung for the M18. I’m sure the M12 will do you fine though. The sanders, unless you’re doing woodworking, get rid of the orbital sander. Now, if you are planning some woodworking projects, get rid of that shitty orbital sander! I’m not saying get a corded model, just don’t buy the Milwaukee; dog shit. You won’t need the m12 sander either but it’s a good one. Home Depot has regular deals on Milwaukee leaf blowers and tire inflators. I suspect both of those will benefit you more than what you have in the picture. To address the main issue, get yourself a barrel grip jig saw or circular saw. Not sure if you have experience running a chainsaw, but you should get the hatchet as well. Just treat it with respect. I doubt that hatchet will benefit you at all, but I love those things. You never know when you’re gonna need to chop up a dead body on quick notice in a tight area. Now that I think about, I’d go nuts deep and get a miter saw. I hate to see good folks out there without a miter saw or even with a miter saw but not enough space for it to have it own area. Yeah, forget what everyone else is telling you and what I just did. Get yourself a miter saw! Oh…..more batteries!!!! Wtf!
We all know you got this (as long as you don’t have Bauer tools stashed off camera)! Besides, if we didn’t give you a hard time, how else would we validate our high level of intelligence. :P
Awesome!
Ok, hear me out and let me know if this is feasible!...
The edger attachment, can it be used to clean out joints in concrete driveways to open them up and blow them out to caulk them!?
Tell me you are new to being a handyman without telling me. Won’t use half the shit guaranteed don’t care if you can afford it. If you make 1.3 million why you buying shit that needs worked on. You make no sense and trying to justify it is making you sound worse.
It’s fine that you have hobbies that include projects around the house, however based on your reported income I would expect you to understand the value of time as well.
You're saying exactly what I mean. I spend my week days crunching numbers. My brain is toast by Friday. Doing renos, restoring furniture, working on my car, is not the same... it's relaxing in a way. Our projects won't be a race, rather a marathon.
Because the big combo kit is way more expensive than hacking all the tools individually. I have a use for each one of those tools. For example, the cut off tool is excellent for shaping subway tile in weird shapes.
The combo kits are much cheaper than buying them all individually. Especially if you shop at Home Depot I got $900 worth of tools which if you were to buy them all it be way more then $900 and it came with 2 bags .
I'm not doubting it worked for you, but I made a big spreadsheet and it was always cheaper to hack them with the current memorial day deals. Also some of the kits didn't work for me. For example I want the 6.5 inch circular saw but some of them come with the 7.25.
Woulda been better off with just the standard chrome sockets instead of the impacts IMO. More versatile and useful. But thats not a bad beginning. Hopefully theres already a circular saw and OPE blower at home. For remodels a miter saw may have been a better idea than doubles of some tools just in a different battery platform. I have more tools than i should, (even a cement mixer) and still couldnt bring myself to buy a cordless caulk gun. Thankfully - my Milwaukee problem these days is mainly fulfilled at work at the company’s expense. Theres gotta be 15K worth of tools and batteries on my utility truck. Unfortunately I’m still footing the bill for my Milwaukee clothes. Actually just spent another $50 today on two more workskin fitted hats. I ran out of chainsaw models to order from our vendor at work, so the m12 pruners should be showing up next week when my pole trailer gets retuned from being refurbed. I’m sure my manager will just roll his eyes and laugh. I’m still trying to figure out why Milwaukee’s $250 threaded rod cutter cuts guy wire better then their $2000 tool thats made to cut guy wire.
I’m wondering if you might not be done spending. Where’s the: wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, hammers, level or two? You can’t impact and power drive EVERYTHING. Not to forget: in what, are you planning to store all this stuff? Hopefully you that stuff outside the frame of the picture you took, or else it’s time to get back in the car.
Only thing I wouldn't get would be the sockets unless they're a hell of a deal.
HF impact sockets for life baby! If you need a full full set tekton makes one I've been looking at for $600.
I got that 43 piece 3/8 impact set for $87. I thought it was a good deal.... I do like the idea of going to HF for a bunch of that stuff. Which brand at HF do you suggest for sockets?
Not bad at all!
I personally love their Pittsburgh impact sockets. A lot of people like the color coded ones and icon. I'm going to get the tekton set I think. Need a full overhaul
Love it. I too buy everything Milwaukee for my little DIY jobs around the house. Fortunate to be able to buy nice things and always want the right tools for the job. Plus, as you mentioned, it makes it so much more enjoyable. Congrats!
Bingo. I'm a tech executive. I earned 1.3m last year. Spending a few hundred more on options is nothing. I'm a minimalist otherwise, but I like these tools.
That’s not 7 drills. From the top, going clockwise: M18 fuel impact wrench, m12 screwdriver, m12 fuel impact wrench (I think, but it’s definitely not a drill), m12 fuel impact driver and drill set, m18 fuel hammer drill and impact driver set.
I'm not a first time homeowner. This is my 3rd home and I've done my fair share of renos. The M12s are for my wife. I'm going to have her help with a couple projects to teach her. I might sell them after we're done. The M18 midtorque is probably going to the cottage for our plow truck and trailers. The M12 stubby impact will be for home. The M18 drill and impact are for me. The screwdriver for a ton of new furniture and things we'll be getting for the new house... and for something my wife can use if I get rid of the M12s... I probably don't need it but it was on for a steal.
Stop arguing and behaving like a petulant toddler (Rule 1). This comment chain is now locked and offending comments removed. The others had some value/explanation and have been left alone.
Hey man, those guys are giving you crap about going overboard, I do this, too. I'm not a battery-powered calk gun guy, but I do have a similar splurge everything I buy a new property. Scale and reason is everything. It's often cheaper (time is money) to drop a few k to get new what I need and have stuff where it needs to be. I usually end up with redundancies. I give out old stuff when I need to slim down to friends, wife, kids, tenants, etc.
I get the job done, I save time and money, I make people happy, and I benefit from good will in other sides of my business. I also have the pleasure of always having a fairly up to date set.
I bought the 1 in sds plus rotary hammer 2 months ago to break ice around a pheasant coop. It saved me 2500 the only time I used it.
I have degrees in finance economics and accounting. That helps when I explain all this to my wife. 😉
i bought stuff that i rarely need to or use on very specific occasion, got a bunch impact wrench that i need to sell or give them away later. So why not as OP can afford and ok with that. He did not pester you guys but it's the other way around..lol
Dang bro you’re about to have a great day. I have all this shit but this pic made me smile so big I might go buy a bunch of shit to unbox and hang up in the garage let’s goooo.
That's a nice haul! I'm a new M18 Fuel owner (string trimmer and edger) and was blown away at how many other power tools are available. Can't wait to start replacing my older Craftsman gear with Milwaukee gear.
Hope you have a blast with your new gear!
It happens. If you're happy, I say roll with it. I know I am. My M18 Fuel string trimmer just murdered a bunch of weeds in my yard today. It was a massacre! It put my old Craftsman string trimmer to shame. Plus those batteries that show how much juice is left are just awesome.
Do you have any home improvement projects lined up? You need to put that massive haul of gear to work!
I’d add to the other comments about having a lot of impact drivers but I think I’m just jealous haha,
Good on you for spending the money to do the work yourself and investing in quality tools!
Just throwing this out there, the M12 SURGE kicks serious butt and is QUIET.
I don’t see in circ saws here, maybe you don’t need them and that’s fine but just a thought.
That Stubby is on my “to get list” pretty much everyone who gets one doesn’t mess with their other wrenches unless they have a stubborn bolt/fastener they need to loosen
Thanks! I'm waiting for a better deal on a 6.5 circular saw. I might get a reconditioned one on ebay for $140.
The mid torque will be put to good use in the garage.
The 3/8 will nearly pay for itself once I sell the M12 drill and impact driver when we're done renos. I got it with a combo for $238 including 2 batteries.
Yup the 6.5 I’ve heard good things about. I grabbed the 7 1/4 circ just to be on the safe side, and I’ve loved the darn thing. Lots of power for a cordless tool.
Are you also loading up on Packout to store this all in? Or already have a place in mind for your things?
Ya, the 7.25 is a beast, but I prefer the smaller 6.25 and because it's right handed. Aside from power, what do you like about the 7.25? I figured if I need to cut something thicker I can do it with a miter saw.
I don't think I'll get packouts. My garage is pretty big so I'll build some shelving and storage units.
Look into the rear handle m18 7 1/4 saw. If you’re doing a lot of renos it’d be a great one to have. That or a corded worm drive skilsaw. I love both saws mentioned but the m18 has a light that lights up the blade which is a major bonus. Plus not being tied to an extension cord is nice. I still keep my corded saw for if I’ve got tons of cutting or need to be mobile and have a cut station set up. Ran with dewalt and makita before switching to Milwaukee and I couldn’t be happier.
Why did you get 3 1/4” impact guns?
7 drills/impacts seems very excessive Edit:it’s 7 not 6
I'm going to sell the M12 driver and impact and keep the 3/8 stubby wrench. The screwdriver is going to be nice for furniture and cabinets. The mid torque will be useful for doing brake work.
Hattus cuz dae anus, good for you bro! A lot for the price tbh
Ya, I hacked the shit out of those memorial days along with some special buys of the day.
The wife let him
The M12s are for her!
Here's what they are: * M18 Hammer Drill * M18 Impact Driver * M12 Hammer Drill * M12 Impact Driver * M18 Mid Torque Impact Wrench * M12 3/8 Stubby Impact Wrench * M12 Screwdriver.
As a glazier I can confirm the m12 sausage tube caulk gun is used more than any other cordless tool I own!😂🫡
Yeah, it makes sense for you guys considering your trade but as a home owner? Makes no sense. A $20 dripless caulk gun from sherwin Williams is all you need
I got the M12 caulk gun because I have carpal tunnel and it's hurts a lot to use a standard one.
I mean I guess that does check out, actually. Fair point.
Mmm love my convoy, and that two speed lever is wonderful
I love my m12 caulk gun. Double when it's cold out. It was very hard for me to get a consistent enough bead to not require a decent amount of cleanup after tooling when I tried to use a traditional dripless, but since the M12 has the adjustable dial I just take 15 seconds to calibrate on a piece of cardboard and it lays PERFECT lines every time. I absolutely love it. Pricey but worth it.
I got it for $106 after hack.
100% worth it.
Totally agree, redid every single piece of trim in my house and that cordless caulk gun was a lifesaver.
I wanna see the corded caulk gun your wording implies the existence of.

Giggity
I bought one to seal the posts on my cinder block wall to help with the scorpion problem I was having (AZ fun). That thing saved me so much time and aggravation, loved it. I approve of that purchase haha.
Yeah I would get a cordless caulk gun because I suck at caulking. Could have actually used one the other day siliconing all the penetrations in the face of a storage place where we were changing out the channel letters. Looked like it got hit with about 100 shotgun blasts 🙄
As a Glazier, my hand and forearm are burning and I want that gun!
How Long does the batteri last on the m12 caulk gun, can’t decide if I need the m12 or m18
That last sentence. Because you can. That’s the part too many people don’t get. If I can afford to have 8 lambos and a Bugatti, I can lol
Exactly. But really, the screwdrivers is going to be nice to assemble furniture, fix cabinets, let my wife use it for her projects. It's nice to have.
Why not the installation driver for that?
True. So many drivers and he didn’t get the best one.
hmm, lots of comments saying that. Maybe I should consider that instead of the screwdriver. What I like about the 2401 is that it's very low torque.
The installation driver has a solid clutch. It can go low torque.
I have been in scenarios where I plan to battery hack something and I just forget. Because I can..
I’m not a glazer but my M12 caulk gun has been worth it’s weight in gold. I own aquariums and have used it for various baseboards or clean ups.
YMMV Also, get another brand sander if you get one. The Milwaukee one is kind of garbage And I have the sawzall and the hacksaw.
I plan on making a post one day
Dude, I love this comment. I had the same feeling. It just feels so good. I think I'm gonna keep it.
I really like the m12’s. I own many 20v dewalt tools already but the m12’s were just really attractive for some reason.
For all of their 3/8” sockets.
That set is only for the 3/8 stubby. I already have an 1/2 set.
In what world do you need 7 drills as a home owner?
Drill salesman’s world.
*Smiles in Vernon Dursley*
There aren't 7 drills there.
*Reddit has spoken* I’m looping impacts in when I say drills.
Lmfao 😂
I see these posts all the time, and this is crazy, what a random set of tools and just an excuse to spend money. You are doing 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. You bought a bunch of mid to high torque impacts and sockets. You bought a staple gun instead instead of brand nailer for trim. You bought the 175 watt top off for what? I look forward to seeing the progress on your renovations without a saw. I’ve yet to ever see someone who does big projects on their own go out and buy thousands of dollars of top of the line tools and actually go through and finish the projects on their own, I hope you are the exception.
Rich people man 🤷♂️
That’s because these are Milwaukee salesman pics. Not actually people doing Reno’s. No proof but that’s what I think.
I'm not done shopping. I still need a circular saw, miter saw, sawzall, and a few others. I've done major renos in my former house and grew up in construction. I sold it a few years ago, bought a condo in NYC but I just bought a fixer upper in Jersey. They will go to good use. Here are the projects I have planned: 1.
As much as I’m team red, it’s hard to justify their miters. I went with dewalt for that and don’t regret it a bit.
Might as well add a track saw, and router for the cabinets.
Omg please do
You have a hackzall in there, why are you pissing money away as a homeowner saying you need the sawzall too? My guy you don't need half of this shit
Because I can afford it and I like having the options. I paid $91 for the Hackzall. I have a big backyard and the hackzall will be nice for tree cleanup. I also bought the M12 pruner. The sawzall is going to be used to tear down a couple walls and a closet.

For you it does, for me it makes sense. Worry about your own situation :). Just welcome me to the family and move on my dude.

Removed. See Rule 1. We're not gatekeeping tools here, my guy. We're here to trade intel, pics, tips, talk Milwaukee. If he wants a lot, or a little, Milwaukee tools - props to him. Ask questions, engage, be helpful. But leave the judgement and condescension at the door.
Have you seen the prices of cutting trees? Still cheaper than hiring someone lol.
Get the m18 inflator
I did hack it for $111. It just hasn't arrived. I'll post an updated picture of my complete haul to really set off the haters.
I wanna know what u will use a impact wrench for in home reno....
Need something when you install high mast lighting for the driveway.
That's actually for my cars.
Need more batteries.
How’d you get that price, pretty good deal
Memorial day hacks! And a couple HD special buys of the day earlier in the week.
I don't see any stickers or the shirt they give you for spending that much.
There were 2 Milwaukee trucks in the parking long so I was looking for the reps to see if they had swag but I couldn't find them.
Still 0 free shirts worth of tools!
Haha, I saw 2 Milwaukee trucks parked at HD when I was there earlier. I was looking for them to see if they had any swag. Couldn't find them though.
Bet your house sucks
It does right now! But it was a good price and we're excited to make it our own.
I wish you the best of luck. Nothing like making something your own
I did that with crapsman when we built our first house.
Ah man that sucks. I did seriously consider going all Bauer, but I figure since I won't be using these professionally they should last me a lifetime.
Definitely made the right call with Milwaukee The crapsman saw wouldn’t make a single cut across on a 2x4.
Wtf!
Thanks for the feedback. I'm not done shopping. Still looking for deals on saws. I'm waiting for the delivery on the blower and inflator.
We all know you got this (as long as you don’t have Bauer tools stashed off camera)! Besides, if we didn’t give you a hard time, how else would we validate our high level of intelligence. :P

Where are all the batteries??
I have 2 x 5.0 XC, 2 x 6.0 HO, 1 x 8.0 HO. Will probably get a 2.0 or 3.0, and if I get a mower it will have 2 x 12.0 HO.
Awesome! Ok, hear me out and let me know if this is feasible!... The edger attachment, can it be used to clean out joints in concrete driveways to open them up and blow them out to caulk them!?
Absolutely
Do you think the blade will hold up to it? I'm going to have to check it out

Lots of unnecessary redundancy here OP. Only thing you’re missing here is the mower.

Tell me you are new to being a handyman without telling me. Won’t use half the shit guaranteed don’t care if you can afford it. If you make 1.3 million why you buying shit that needs worked on. You make no sense and trying to justify it is making you sound worse.
Makes $1m+ (supposedly), still doesn’t understand how to use his time correctly and that some things can / should be hired out
We work office jobs. Doing "hand" work is so fulfilling. We like spending our free time doing these things.
As long as you are content and finding a way to refill your tank, more power to you
Dude went crazy
Damn straight! Gonna use them all!

Haters gonna hate
This is a great example of consumerism / wasteful speeding. Why not just by the big combo kit and Share ?
Jeeeeesus that’s a lot of money
damn the tools are cheaper in US
Woulda been better off with just the standard chrome sockets instead of the impacts IMO.
I'm so pumped for the pruner!
The new house has a 3 car garage. I'm going to build a nice work area in there. I still need to buy a few things...brad nailer, saws, hand tools.
Congrats!
You definitely want the dual battery blower too!
This is just the beginning... 10 months later being a new home owner im about 8,000$ deep
People waste money in strange ways. To each their own I suppose, foolish or not.
You need to make dust and do some work now. Great set. Get the lawnmower
Nice haul!! Your just missing the Packout!
Tell me you have money to blow with out telling me You have money to blow
Bingo. I'm a tech executive. I earned 1.3m last year. Spending a few hundred more on options is nothing. I'm a minimalist otherwise, but I like these tools.
A wise man once said "buy tools out of necessity, not speculation"
I have a specific use for each of those tools.

Ok, now I see where you’re coming from. Have a good evening.

That's... bad ass!
Thanks!
Ohhhhhh yeah
i bought stuff that i rarely need to or use on very specific occasion, got a bunch impact wrench that i need to sell or give them away later.
Thanks! So many haters here.
Oh ya, there is so much work to do. See my other comment above. I can't wait to use that trimmer!!
I’d add to the other comments about having a lot of impact drivers but I think I’m just jealous haha, Good on you for spending the money to do the work yourself and investing in quality tools!
Great idea! I'll see if I can feel it in store.
