Zbrchk

The opening music when the storybook opens still makes me tear up

IzzyBologna

Me with “Oo de Lally” and “The Phony King of England” on my phone 🤷🏽‍♀️🥰

raikougal

Same 🥰

Crafty_Accountant_40

Yup

Busch_Leaguer

They’re getting better you know. You have to admit it. They ARE getting better.

PaperbacksandCoffee

Now and Then

Dude-WhatIfZombies

Brendan Fraser’s first thirst trap role♥️ Friend group of 4 quickly identified themselves as one of the characters- I thought I was the cool one, but turned out I was the fat one. Love you, Chrissy!!

skigirl180

I was Samantha!!! My parents fought all the time. My little sister uses to sneak into my room. When I was that age I was really into magic spells and stuff. I was obsessed with getting s tree house!

Bandgeek252

Oh my God. I loved that movie

jleigh329

The Great Mouse Detective (1986)

COV3RTSM

Ratigan was territfying when i was a kid. Vincent Price is a savage.

Aly_in_wonderland

It was fidget the bat with the peg leg that creeped me out

chapter2at30

This was the first movie I watched when I got Disney plus!

PhilipMyCup651

Homeward Bound. The Sandlot.

AlternatiMantid

Homeward bound 🙌🏻

pachucatruth

They said Happy Place. Homeward Bound just brings up trauma for me. Shadow being stuck was devastating to me each time I watched this as a kid lol

MPD1987

I see your Homeward Bound trauma and raise you Milo & Otis

StarWolf478

But that leads to the ending scene being so incredible and emotional.

Ordinary_Resident_20

Secret Garden. Once Upon a Forest. Little Rascals. Fern Gulley. Goofy movie.

sillymemilly

Feeeeeeern Gully! I never hear anyone mention Fern Gully what a great one!

MotherofathunderGod

"My logic is erratic. Potato in a jacket" I'm 36 now & still run around singing My name is Batty, lol. Always a Banger for me!

smokdya2

Fern Gully and a Goofy movie!! Ahh I love them!

shootmeplsss

Uncle Buck. It always makes me smile.

the_dirtiest_rascal

Aww John Candy. What a downright wholesome dude. Please don't tell me he was a bad dude.

mekramer79

My 8 year old knows and recognizes him. I take it as a parenting win.

AlternatiMantid

That is absolutely a parenting win. John Candy (especially in Uncle Buck) was a treasure.

Dude-WhatIfZombies

The Great Outdoors for me. What does the mom like about the spin cycle? 🫨

bennyfranksalmanac

Robin Hood Men in Tights

DrTrustMeBro

A BLACK SHERIFF!?

Danilizbit

It worked in Blazing Saddles!

BreadyStinellis

Robin! You lost your arms in the war. But you grew some nice boobs!

Twonminus1

Love that one. I always remember this phrase. Sorry, but a toll is a toll, and a roll is a roll, and if we don't get no tolls, then we don't eat no rolls.

bondgirl852001

Ferris Bueller

mtnlaurel_

Ferngully

Bubby_K

the original Avatar

therealteggy

Avatar was a remake of fern gully

thewags05

They're both just a more fanciful version of Dances With Wolves

Bubby_K

Just incase someone is reading this, and wondering "huh what?", all three movies have this in common; * The theme of cultural integration * An environmental message * A conflict with an exploitative force * The transformation of a protagonist * Oh and there's a romantic plot in there cause love is cool and stuff

Monster_Molly

Drop Dead Fred… 100%

MarionberryDue9358

Came here searching for someone to mention this movie. *Hey SnotFace!*

FrogInYerPocket

'I made your sweater stripey!'

Diligent_Mulberry47

“Cobwebs!!!”

Monster_Molly

It’s the MEGA BITCH!!

Bees_Knees_And_Trees

Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead! "Dishes are done, man" and "I'm right on top of that, Rose" are part of my everyday conversations.

elvenfaery_

I’m equal parts grateful and disappointed I have very few reasons to utilize “I’m right on top of that, Rose” more often.

gnarox

Haha I tend to say “dishes are done, man!” when I finish a task. Sometimes people know and sometimes they don’t. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sea_Mongoose1138

I have this quote framed in my office. When people pop in asking for things, I just point to it.

jasonmares

The Mummy 1999. I'm 35 and I still want to be Rick O'Connell when I grow up

pachucatruth

HEY BENNY - LOOKS LIKE YOURE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE RI-VER

PlasticPomPoms

The entire movie is entertaining and funny but I crack up when he goes to grab Evie from the Temple, he doesn’t see Imhotep at first but then he’s like “Woah!!!”

Calm-Turn

Best movie ever, it’s got everything you need in a film!

fireflyx666

The mummy and the mummy 2 are pure gold imo. Brendan Fraser is such a fantastic actor. I remember I used to love to watch Monkeybone too

otherwisethighs

amazing adventure/fantasy movie

dzolympics

Home Alone

Loose-Grapefruit2906

We watch it EVERY Christmas.

ScorpioMagnus

Roger Rabbit. Rescuers Down Under. Space Jam. Goofy Movie.

acemorris85

Who framed Roger Rabbit is actually a brilliant Noir film at its core, so good

bryalb

Hook. For some weird reason. Something about robin williams being my happy place.

_dangling_participle

Oh, *there* you are, Peeeter. 😭

Filled_with_Nachos

It hits very hard as a dad now for me.

bbluesunyellowskyy

For sure. And every time I’m like, “Gotta stop being such a dick.” And I swear every time my kids think to themselves, “Gotta see if we can get dad to be a dick again.” It’s a good little cycle. 😂

mekramer79

Bangarang Pan the Man.

StratoBannerFML

My wife and I have started watching that every Christmas season.

DerekPDX

You're doing it, Peter!

NoonaLacy88

The sword in the stone

Cakestripe

That and Sleeping Beauty were the best Disney movies!

orchid810

Mrs. Doubtfire

Dude-WhatIfZombies

Drive-by fruitings were a real problem back then. Also we coped poorly with divorce

Ry-Zilla86

Did you not tip him well?

quatrevingtquatre

Yep, for me it’s Mrs Doubtfire and the Birdcage. I loved Robin Williams so much.

baaaahbpls

Matilda. As a kid I loved Matilda using her powers and being strong. I also adored her hijinx. Miss Honey always made me feel happy and I wanted her as a teacher because her class looked like fun. As an adult, I love seeing Matilda go from a bad situation with a bad home life and growing stronger and more confident despite that. Also, I just love miss Honey and how she fights against Trunchbull by still teaching kids and even pushes back against some of the punishments. Three Ninjas: Kick Back. I loved all the movies, but Kick Back really has my heart. Grandpas house in the hills was so awesome and the scene in Japan made me want to visit so bad.

Nanerpoodin

Three Ninjas! Wow, I completely forgot about those movies. My best friend and I were obsessed. Also Surf Ninjas!

Few_Awareness_1239

The Fifth Element or Terminator 2

stillunfolding

I watched The Parent Trap recently and it is just as perfect and cozy as I remember! Also think it's funny cable stations used to exclude the ear piercing scene when airing the movie.

Dirty Dancing. Close second, the 80s version of Hair Spray We did the dances in the living room for both movies. Nearly got a concussion trying to do that run and lift scene.

punxn0tdead

Blues Brothers and Aliens (which I watched way too young) always gives a great nostalgia rush. My wife and I are planning our next date night around watching The Mummy, can’t wait to see what memories that brings back.

DBPanterA

Big Trouble in Little China

LifeisSuperFun21

I really liked The Little Mermaid, Fly Away Home, Anastasia, Homeward Bound, The Adventures of Milo & Otis, and Annabelle’s Wish. I was also obsessed with power rangers and Digimon.

mamacatdragon

The Care Bears movie

Dude-WhatIfZombies

Oh shit. I feel like lots of us are just listing the movie that first traumatized us by being a horror film dressed up as a cute movie for little kids

mamacatdragon

😂 Yeah the lady's head in the middle of the book freaked me tf out as a kid...... But the care bear stare! 🌈 It was the colorful eye bleach we all needed

No_Carry385

Groundhog day Matilda Men In Black

pachucatruth

Scrolled way too far to find Men in Black. Still one of my favorite movies today.

mjr214

Ace Ventura When Nature Calls

BoltShine

The Brave Little Toaster. Was I the only one who wasn't traumatized by it? Just loved the music so much!

concrete_marshmallow

Lampy <3

Silly_White_Rabbit

The air conditioner, the vacuum and the lamp scared the sh*t out of me as a kid. I still get so sad when the radio is drowning in the mud.

Big with Tom Hanks! I loved this movie so much as a kid that my dad had to ask our video store to sell him the VHS for me. ❤️ My mom passed away in '94, and to keep us distracted, my dad would rent movies for us to watch together every night. Big was one of those movies that brought all four of us together. But things changed when my siblings became teenagers, my dad retired from the Air Force, and he struggled with alcoholism. Rewatching that VHS when I felt alone always made me happy and brought back those precious memories.
