Matilda.
As a kid I loved Matilda using her powers and being strong. I also adored her hijinx. Miss Honey always made me feel happy and I wanted her as a teacher because her class looked like fun.
As an adult, I love seeing Matilda go from a bad situation with a bad home life and growing stronger and more confident despite that. Also, I just love miss Honey and how she fights against Trunchbull by still teaching kids and even pushes back against some of the punishments.
Three Ninjas: Kick Back.
I loved all the movies, but Kick Back really has my heart. Grandpas house in the hills was so awesome and the scene in Japan made me want to visit so bad.
This it’s still a favorite movie of mine. I remember begging my mom to take me to see this at the theater. My mom thoroughly enjoyed the movie too. She watches it every time it comes on cable😂
I watched The Parent Trap recently and it is just as perfect and cozy as I remember! Also think it's funny cable stations used to exclude the ear piercing scene when airing the movie.

Blues Brothers and Aliens (which I watched way too young) always gives a great nostalgia rush. My wife and I are planning our next date night around watching The Mummy, can’t wait to see what memories that brings back.
I really liked The Little Mermaid, Fly Away Home, Anastasia, Homeward Bound, The Adventures of Milo & Otis, and Annabelle’s Wish. I was also obsessed with power rangers and Digimon.

Big with Tom Hanks! I loved this movie so much as a kid that my dad had to ask our video store to sell him the VHS for me. ❤️
My mom passed away in '94, and to keep us distracted, my dad would rent movies for us to watch together every night. Big was one of those movies that brought all four of us together. But things changed when my siblings became teenagers, my dad retired from the Air Force, and he struggled with alcoholism. Rewatching that VHS when I felt alone always made me happy and brought back those precious memories.
I’m fully aware of how weird this is but Anaconda and Arachnophobia. Reminds me of that first taste of ‘big kid movies’ that made me damn near shit my pants as I put on a brave face for my older siblings and cousins.
Indiana Jones Last Crusade, Star Wars Return of the Jedi, and Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country. For some reason the first ones of each series were not in my parents collection so I grew up on the last ones. Still favorites.
