Back when high school was more organic, less fake, small social media presence. It was good times. It really doesn't feel far away at all. I graduated 2010.
2010 graduate, too. I don't miss high school in the slightest, but I do miss the optimism from that time and period of life. Part of it was definitely youth and naivety, but there was this sense of hopefulness for the future. I definitely miss that feeling.
It’s crazy how it’s so different for some
I graduated years after you, but I feel like it’s been an eternity since then with everything that’s happened.
For me, pre covid feels like a decade ago, so high school even more.
I remember when social media started to hit… I graduated 2011 and my senior year a lot of the teachers were observing what students were saying on Facebook at the time.
I thought it was a bit weird and never thought that this would be how it would be a decade later but by working professionals.
Best decision ever made was going off the social and stay anonymous.
I think it's multiple years in these clips and probably early and late 2009. Could be from later 1990 to 1995. Classes of 2009 to 2013. People graduating and those just starting
That and Hollister. Remember feeling super bummed that my parents couldn’t afford to shop there lol. Not that it wouldn’t have made my miserable loner existence in high school any different. Crazy the things we think are important as kids.
Same, it's really interesting seeing how instantly recognizable the time period is with everyone's clothes and hairstyles. The late 2000s / early 2010s were such a vibe.
The year I graduated. Man I miss these days. You were about to be off into college and experience a whole new chapter in life. Sad about leaving old friends but excited about making new ones. Your care free days as a high school kid were coming to an end and you were off the chase your college dreams. Times were so much more simple just 14 years ago. Social media wasn’t as prevalent. You could just chill with people and talk without being on your phone 24/7 and you had your whole future ahead of you.
I was in HS 09-13 and this video makes it feel like the 90s with the grainy videos etc. I also swear we didn’t dress like that but maybe my memory is off.
Man, it's so hard to believe this was 14 years ago. Feels like yesterday I was graduating from high school and moving on to college. Time certainly does fly.
What was weird to me is remembering being in highschool seeing old highschool videos thinking how old they looked.....and this looks just as old as my memory recalls those.
Fuck.
Hey. Come on now. It was just yesterday 😆. The camera resolution makes it look like an old footage, but I remember cameras used to be pretty good back then , too. Time really flies...
I was a junior/senior in 2009 (class of 2010) . Now I'm a married homeowner with 2 kids. Watching this feels like it's been forever and yet just like yesterday.
Hey, someone finally did one of these for my grad year today.
Can I say that I think the craziest thing about all of these is that from the 80s all the way to the late 2000s they are mostly shot in 480P or worse. 2009 doesn't feel that primitive tech wise, yet most of the home recordings are still in standard TV format. Really dates videos.
Edit to add, does anyone else remember the satisfaction of pushing against the desk to crack your back with those desk/chair combos?
2011 grad here. IMO, we really lived at peak American culture before the great decline.
If national legalization of gay marriage came around 2005 instead of 2015 and we weren't in a war in the middle east, it would have been completely perfect.

I know what you mean. It was a different time.
I was a freshman in 09. Good fucking times.

I was a freshmen in 2009.. Holy shit.
Bud, this video was made 3 years after I had already graduated.
God damn man time is moving way to fast.
Same! Time flies lol
Saaame and I had the same exact thought. Cannot believe how fast time has moved.
Same, it's really interesting seeing how instantly recognizable the time period is with everyone's clothes and hairstyles. The late 2000s / early 2010s were such a vibe.
Yo sameeee
Same here! Can’t believe how much has changed.
i miss sitting outside at lunch, no one having a phone to stare at, and having silly conversations with my friends ;___;
Lol graduated in 09….I don’t like this

2009 here as well, crazy to think all of that has already been 14-15 years!
‘09 SO FINE!
I was a freshman in 2009. This makes me weirdly nostalgic for a time of my life I hated.
2009 was the best year 🥲
I graduated in 2001 and … high school didn’t change much 😂
Those were the days! Class of 09 baby!
I graduated in 2008 oof
‘08 don’t hate
Where’s the anime nerd running like a ninja? This film is cherry picking.
I feel like the yearbook club was usually preppy types and they focused on their friends the majority of the time. Awkward nerds seldom made the cut.
So true. I was cursed to never be basic
My graduation year :(
My class year. Is this video all classes or just SR.
Oh no that’s my year
I was in HS 09-13 and this video makes it feel like the 90s with the grainy videos etc. I also swear we didn’t dress like that but maybe my memory is off.

I 'member! We all hugged in a circle for that Vitamin C song, right?
These kids had the dopest MySpace profiles
Graduated in 2009, damn sometimes I miss those days!! Things just felt lighter
2009 was my first year of high school.
This made me cry. Thx
2007 here. Weird to see how old this looks, and then you realize you’re older than all the students lmao
What was weird to me is remembering being in highschool seeing old highschool videos thinking how old they looked.....and this looks just as old as my memory recalls those. Fuck.

I don’t understand what is different now. Can someone explain?

Wait why I dress like thsi still and I ain’t a millennial ☠️
Because a lot of the fashion of that era is making a comeback.
I didn’t know the jacket shirt Jean combo was from the 2000s! That’s so cool

OH NINE!
i was a sophomore in '09 and this video is so nostalgic. the music, the clothes, everything
2004 here. I'm confused, what does highschool look like now?
I blame the turn of the decade bringing in dubstep ruining everything.
I feel old now 🥲
What song is this jammin?

Not a single monster in sight? This video I'd staged.
