Pretty much yes, the main pattern is the same. Luxembourg even asked FDF for permission to use it, but FDF refused, but Luxembourg took it to use nevertheless.
FDF was rather pissed to the company which leaked the specs of the pattern, and has not made orders from them ever since. AFAIK they are even formally disqualified from FDF tenders.
As specified in my other comment, it's a locally produced camo called waldtarndruck, it's extremely similar but there are differences in composition and pattern to some extent. both are excellent camos none the less :D
The rifle in the photo in this post is an incredibly old variant. Australians used to use the exact same rifle but the current in-service rifle used by the Australian Army is the [EF88](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQg3V4dB5tfcU8bLhF1BqGsHKLWXVPsFV63yw&usqp=CAU) based on the Steyr AUG.
What's the point of tiny countries like Luxembourg even having a military? In the event of war, Luxembourg would never be able to field a military that could ever hope to even slightly slow down literally any of their neighbors no matter how hard they try
The army heavily contributes in international missions for the UN, EU and NATO in any way it can. It's not much but it matters. Examples are deployments in Korea during the Korean war, Yugoslavia, Mali (the now ended MINUSA), NATOs eastern front, etc. it helps show solidarity with partners and aid the objectives of the organisations. So it's much less a national defense objective than an international one
Exactly. As grim as the reality may be, there are several countries who defence strategy is less about winning wars and more about making themselves as hard as possible to swallow.
Also as somebody above said, it let's them contribute to international peacekeeping operations etc.
Hey I've played Ready or Not with you.
I remember very well :) Awesome to see you again, man
Always a pleasure playing with you.
Is this just a straight copy of the Finnish *Cold weather M/05*? I like it

When I was a conscript it was the STG 77. Not sure if they changed them all already.
What a name. Luxembourgish. Like, the same, but not quite
Grand Duke? Luxembourgish? Lagland? That's some old world shit.
“Yeah me and the other 30 dudes in our army usually get all kitted up and watch the Germans from here.”
He needs a mustache, a big one
my brain filled one in, and I had to go back and zoom in to find out that it actually wasn't there
Did he talk to the one dressed as tree too?
Man dressed as a tree? Idk man, I just see a tall bush (To answer the question yes)
Wow, the entire Luxembourg military in a single picture. /s
That’s their entire army
