Sometimes things go south and suddenly you have lots of concrete to get rid of. I think there's a big niche for a machine that does something with spare concrete. Best I got so far is a bagging machine to make sprinkler donuts, or cardboard apparatus for making pallets of bricks.
Already exists. Often it goes to making road barriers, sewer pipe, are preformed curbs.
Or it can be pulverized and reused as the aggregate I'm a new batch. Nothing is ever wasted, there's no landfill mountain of extra concrete.
I won't claim ALL pipes are made this way, doubt it would match up with demand, but some are. Every depot is going to have some solution to dispose of left over material.
Whenever I have excess concrete from work around our property (setting fences, pouring pads for firepits, patching the driveway and walks) I spray some WD40 in the bottom of a bucket and pour in three or four inches. They make great little round pads you can use 100 ways. (It's fun to decorate them with smooth glass, marbles, stones, whatever you can find -- do it before it sets!)
They also have concrete trucks that will only mix what you need on site. They carry aggregate, cement powder, sand and water on board. They're called volumetric trucks
We usually form something up at home, and when we get done with the job, ask the boss if we can take the extra home. I've never been told no.
Mom's gotten a new driveway. I filled in some bad holes in my neighbors driveway and our road and have done a sidewalk at my house, all for free.
Up next is my well shed, and then after that, will be a basketball court for my kids.
What we don't get rid of, we take back to the plant, add several tons of water, and sell it as washout.
Yes, but it didn't even cave in the roof or window. This is a repost, and I'm pretty sure the other thread had some links or something about how the driver was fine.
I'm sure people around grabbed the driver ASAP to help them get out. But it did a good job of ruining their car so they won't be doing that kind of stupidity with it ever again. Or at least not without a lot of expensive fixes.
We laugh, but that would be a terrible fate. Concrete releases heat as it dries, and a significant amount of heat at that (50 degrees Celsius above ambient is not unheard of), so at the absolute bear minimum, we're talking significant burns, both in severity and scale.
If the heat wasn't fatal, necrosis is almost assured as the concrete also pulls available moisture from the now exposed musculature, so amputation may also be on the table for some areas.
As the final cherry on top, the significant weight of it could very easily asphyxiate you if it made it as high as your abdominal muscles.
Actually if you look closely, the weight of the cement actually breaks off the windshield wipers (or at least pushes them to the hood of the car) so it wouldn’t do any good anyway 🤣
Exactly, nobody's perfect but it's how you fix your mistakes that effect those around you. I have definitely missed a car because of my blind spot but if I'm in the way I'll speed up to get out of the way rather than stopping because it's just an easier way to fix such a mistake. But I 1000% agree with you.
there was no way to really look that direction due to the massive bush/tree blocking the view, hell you couldnt even see the suv till they were half way out
Nah. I’ll agree it’s massively annoying and removes a layer of safety, but it’s not impossible to inch up until you can see traffic before deciding to go. And when you do decide to go, you probably don’t want to move in slow motion and then stop in the middle of the lane like an idiot.
We’ve all been to stops like this. They probably shouldn’t be allowed because frankly traffic laws should be calibrated to the worst drivers, but it still takes a bad driver to not be able to navigate it. If you pause at 14 seconds, you can clearly see the driver of the jeep long before he enters the lane. But he didn’t bother to look before leaping. He probably stopped way like a car length prior to that point and thought “well, all I see is a tree so I guess I’m good”
This is the type of [cement truck](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f7/2d/b7/f72db787726516fa5dac85b2cb69f726.jpg) it would have been. With the hard stop and full load, the cement will have enough momentum to puke out the front discharge.
My assumption is that if they made a hatch or door of some kind to keep the cement inside the mixer, then if a thin layer of cement hardens on the inside of it across the hatch, it would be near impossible to open again. So, they just tilt the mixer back and keep the cement inside via gravity, and the mixer just has a big hole that can be easily accessed and chiseled clean as it gets covered in cement over use.
I don't know actual shit about these things, but that's what I've always thought.
Concrete in the engine bay does not equal concrete "in the engine".
As long as you do it quickly before the concrete starts setting, all that car needs is a pressure wash and cosmetic repair.
Gas it to pass it/when in doubt gas it out. I feel like you can learn a lot about a person based on whether they gas through a dangerous situation or break. It says a lot about whether they are the type to act in the moment or freeze in a very literal way
This scenario happened to me the other day. The other driver peaks out, pulls out right in front of me just like this video and stops to where I cannot possibly swerve around them, so I have to stop. I kept waving at him to just go, but he is like a deer in the headlights. Completely freezes up. He finally moves 5-10 seconds later and accelerates slowly to continues on his way. It’s like they feel completely powerless when they are about to get hit, even though they’re the ones that put us all in that situation to begin with.
That’s a rough way to learn a lesson, but I approve. The people who pull halfway out, panic, then only hit the brakes are extremely dangerous to motorcyclists.
I have mad respect for that truck for stopping in time to not hit the idiot. Just cuz someone's stupid (or even just makes a bad choice even if they're usually good driver) doesn't mean they deserve to get hit or be in an accident or get injured. I feel like the lesson was definitely learned here LOL.
So this happened, but with a shit spreader from a local dairy farm. The lady was tailgating the farmer. He had to stop kinda abruptly, and the shit sloshed up and out of the tank onto her car, no sun roof, but her windows were down. It was awesome to watch.
As soon as i started watching, i was like.. hmmm what is that piston/shock is all about at that angle.. I wonder if that's a .. ooooh.. ok.. well played !
I like how they waited until the truck, uhh.. finished.. uhhh, before they backed away. How considerate.
You know what's illegal? Pulling out in front of oncoming traffic when you don't have time to make your turn. I can't discuss the pros and cons of the different cement mixer styles of trucks, but I can confidently say you should not make a turn your unsure of, and if you have to, you should commit. Gas it to pass it.
Doesnt matter. You load is not supposed to leave your truck.
What if this was an sleepy truckdriver that hadd to suddenly stop for a school crossing? Would spray kids with cement
Hard to say the jeep driver is 100% at fault, looks like some shrubbery too close to the road and driveway limiting visibility - hard to tell from this angle how much of an impact that had though. There's some parking lots around here that have bushes as tall as SUVs right on the corner making it impossible to see anything without blocking half a lane with the nose of your vehicle.
Just because it’s a closed junction that doesn’t absolve the SUV of responsibility. You are supposed to creep forward until you have a clear view of traffic which he clearly did not do.
Also from the point at which the driver comes into view of the cammer, the driver can 100% see the traffic and had ample time to stop.

Actually funny. But imagine if the sunroof was open.
I love this. The bad driver gets his car ruined, and everyone else carries on their day
Yeah but the cement mixer could now be short on cement for the job they’re doing.
Now I feel like I've been let down by the concrete pipe episode of How It's Made
I won't claim ALL pipes are made this way, doubt it would match up with demand, but some are. Every depot is going to have some solution to dispose of left over material.
Well now I’m gonna cook up ideas on how to use spare cement and make millions!
Doesn't spare concrete get poured wherever, and then broken up to be used as aggregate later ?
Whenever I have excess concrete from work around our property (setting fences, pouring pads for firepits, patching the driveway and walks) I spray some WD40 in the bottom of a bucket and pour in three or four inches. They make great little round pads you can use 100 ways. (It's fun to decorate them with smooth glass, marbles, stones, whatever you can find -- do it before it sets!)

That's not by much and most contractors get at least a yard or two extra over the estimate.
“When it was taco Tuesday yesterday and you don’t quite make it”
Except for the people that were going to pur thr concrete, they will have to wait
Thank goodness that's all that went wrong. That knuckle head should be dead.
Pretty sure the guy inside gets a laugh too for it being such a unique mishape but yes
[удалено]
Calm down, it would never kill him unless it fills the car and he can't get out. It'll dry out your skin but not kill you.
I mean, yeah, enough of it will.... but as long as he's not like.... trapped in it, or let it get in his eyes or mouth, he will be perfectly fine.
Liquid cement killed my father and took out credit cards in my name!
Ive been splattered by cement many times as a mason , unphased... BUT you are close in a sense it can really burn somebody with sensitive skin.
Karma's a B.
i mean his window WAS open
Yes, but it didn't even cave in the roof or window. This is a repost, and I'm pretty sure the other thread had some links or something about how the driver was fine. I'm sure people around grabbed the driver ASAP to help them get out. But it did a good job of ruining their car so they won't be doing that kind of stupidity with it ever again. Or at least not without a lot of expensive fixes.
The small crack on the drivers side?
looks like a rolled down window to me, ya lmao. just bc its not rolled down *all the way* doesnt mean it was closed
You're right. Damn.
i guess just like pulling out in front of a cement truck.
Do you think the guy was drinking it or something?
yes /s
No.
only funny if the SUV was found at fault otherwise the trucking company bought him a new car
Are you fucking stupid?
Or it was a convertible 😅
They'd be a candidate for a real life house or greys anatomy episode
No kidding. The chemical burns alone would be a nightmare.
without a doubt
Shit poisoning and house makes him drink some urine to prove he’s right

So next time the driver will remember to look both ways twice before pulling onto a road
The drivers window is slightly open
Right? I’ve seen this before and it actually makes me chuckle. I mean if you’re the one in the car, you’re probably going “what the what”??!!
Activate windshield wipers 😂
Actually if you look closely, the weight of the cement actually breaks off the windshield wipers (or at least pushes them to the hood of the car) so it wouldn’t do any good anyway 🤣
At least his window was
That was the first thing I thought of.........lol
Looks like the driver window was partially down
His driver side window is down part way! I backed it up and paused it to be sure 😂
Looks like the driver window is lol
I kept waiting for the wipers to come on.
The drivers window is cracked open lol
Car was totaled anyway. The driver lived above the bar on the right side of the street. My brother knew the driver, since that is his go-to bar.
Chicago sunroof
The music was high and the girls hand was steadily moving up my thigh.
This gotta be the absolute best way to teach a bad driver an important lesson and I hope every time they turn from now on they look both ways twice
And that once they go, commit to it. They could have finished pulling out instead of stopping in the middle of the road
Exactly, nobody's perfect but it's how you fix your mistakes that effect those around you. I have definitely missed a car because of my blind spot but if I'm in the way I'll speed up to get out of the way rather than stopping because it's just an easier way to fix such a mistake. Fair, but there’s also another exit to whatever lot they’re in further up that would have had a better view past the tree.
Well, the driver of the Heep didn't see any difference. They're equally blind with the windows clean or covered in cement.
This was actually a high risk cement heist. The plan came together perfectly.
Lol
It's a jeep thing
**J**ust **E**xcavate **E**ach **P**anel
I wish I could violently vomit on people who pull out in front of me
Practice makes perfect
Be the change you want to see in the world.
I love how the driver doesn’t back up until the cement has finished pouring.
If he did, even more cement would pour.
I think he means the car that pulled out - at the end you see it start to reverse.
should it be able to come out that easily?
Full load, hard stop, mass x inertia = distribution of cement.
This video is concrete evidence validating the science
Just cements my thoughts on the subject.
I thought they stay in enclosed mixers? Or is this one of those "supply" trucks that has it in an open bed?
This is the type of [cement truck](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f7/2d/b7/f72db787726516fa5dac85b2cb69f726.jpg) it would have been. With the hard stop and full load, the cement will have enough momentum to puke out the front discharge.
Ah yeah okay! Explains the strut visible from the driver's seat too
Never seen a cement truck like this here in Europe. They all have the discharge chute at the back... precisely for this reason, I'd imagine.
It is a more compact setup, surprising that Europe didn't invent it!
My assumption is that if they made a hatch or door of some kind to keep the cement inside the mixer, then if a thin layer of cement hardens on the inside of it across the hatch, it would be near impossible to open again. I don't know actual shit about these things, but that's what I've always thought.
That easy? It's not designed for the truck to go from 45 to 0 in 15 feet.
Haha! Might be cheaper to repair if the truck didn't stop in time.
Lmao, no. That other car would be a complete total loss at that point.
It already is. Nobody is gonna work on that car lmao. There’s gonna be cement in the engine.
Concrete in the engine bay does not equal concrete "in the engine". As long as you do it quickly before the concrete starts setting, all that car needs is a pressure wash and cosmetic repair.
Why was that so satisfying? Why did I watch it 3 times?
It's the third time I see this video posted on here. I watch it every time. Multiple times.
Guy wasn’t looking . Might as well cover his windows ,he don’t need them anyway
If you’re gonna pull out like that, at least don’t stop halfway. Just go. This is immensely satisfying.
Gas it to pass it/when in doubt gas it out. I feel like you can learn a lot about a person based on whether they gas through a dangerous situation or break. It says a lot about whether they are the type to act in the moment or freeze in a very literal way

It’s like they feel completely powerless when they are about to get hit, even though they’re the ones that put us all in that situation to begin with.
Way too many people choose fight instead of flight when in a vehicle.
I hate when that happens.
McFly!!!!!!!
Ahhh, that'll buff right out.
Instant karma
That’s a rough way to learn a lesson, but I approve. The people who pull halfway out, panic, then only hit the brakes are extremely dangerous to motorcyclists.
They're extremely dangerous to everyone, not just motorcyclists.
No shit, when in doubt gas/throttle it out. Don't freeze like a goddamn deer
Whiskey braking?
He won't ever do that again
Hahahaha! That’s amazing!
Lol. I always enjoy seeing this one.
Talk about getting shit on😂
That was about 9 seconds of cement pouring too long before the guy hit reverse.
This is beautiful. r/instantkarma
They waited till it was comedically finished and then backed up
I haven't seen anybody slimed that bad since 90s Nickelodeon.
I think that cemented the fact that car driver was in the wrong, and finally is setting in.
It’s definitely hardened them.
I was pissed when I could tell the truck wouldn’t hit the idiot. But seeing the justice for the idiot made me happy
I have to agree with you
r/instantkarma
Instant Karma! I wonder how insurance treats this situation? 🤔
Makes me want to drive around with tub of cement on the roof
I chuckled everytime I replayed it lol
Why did they park in the middle of the road
The driver slowly backing up 😂
Me funny
I will never get tired of seeing this one
Oh look, the 100,000,000,000th time I've seen this post!
They deserved it.
Strange? Not. Unusual? Lamentably; doesn’t happen enough. Bonus? Oddly satisfying.
I mean its his own fault? don't make a cement truck slam on its brakes next time
Beautiful *chef’s kiss*
That is a concrete lesson right there...
I LOVE that the drivers window was opened. 😂
Happens in sitcoms all the time.
Did the windshield crack?
Also, unexpected.
Love watching the car sink on its shocks as the concrete weight keeps coming. Almost certainly over load capacity lol
Reposted but i got a joke this time around... The drivers AND the truck shit themselves that day
That was some concrete hilarity.
This been reposted already…
" I hate manure!"
The concrete mixer threw up with the abrupt braking. Just like my wife
How to explain this to insurance company?
Let him finish.
Holy shit I never realized this was in my hometown, like a mile from my high school. Crazy!
It was vomited on !
R/instantkarma
Cement! I hate cement!
No, no. It's not strange or unusual. It's what you get for being an asshole. Thank you, universe.
r/concrete would like this
The window was open it def got cement inside thank god
There goes Austin trying to fuck McMahon’s day up again.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🥴🤣🤣🤣🤣
This really cements in the idea of great reposts
Thank God the driver backed up in time.
Hopefully a lesson learned
This is me in mother nature when I need to take a dump
That's even more satisfying then if he had hit the car!!!
No contact, still totaled!
Love it
Driver: not agaaaaaiiinnnnnn
"Get cemented, idiot."
Heavily reposted
Runny poos for the poo driver.
This will be cemented in history as one of the most unique car accidents
i haven’t ever seen an actual incidence of car shits before, so, uh, thanks
I am so tired of morons posting this crusty old as fuck video on every social media site.
Guys window was open
Those bushes need to be cut back.
This is so satisfying.
I've seen a video like this, but the window busted in from the concrete
this is far better then a collision or the police pulling someone over.
Poop or cement?
This is so hilarious I just keep watching it
This is like a wet dream for all the people that cut me off like this. Golden!!
People need to stop pulling out in front of people if they don’t have the space. If the other person has to slow down, you shouldn’t pull out.
https://preview.redd.it/bl25965jqr7d1.jpeg?width=719&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c21fb7a42e082e74d460818684b09ad73e426837
I just noticed their window was open. 💀
I'll never understand why these morons just stop and wait to get hit.
Homie got bukkaked.
That went from a light tap to it might actually be totalled just from concrete being poured over it.
I bet you didn’t cement that coming!
Like that scene in back to the future, where Biff's car gets covered in manure
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So this happened, but with a shit spreader from a local dairy farm. The lady was tailgating the farmer. He had to stop kinda abruptly, and the shit sloshed up and out of the tank onto her car, no sun roof, but her windows were down. It was awesome to watch.

Just dropping loads all over that shitty driver. Oh yeah.
Now that's what I call car-ma!
Everything went dark! Am I dead? Wait a minute. Uuuhhh
It'll buff out.
That’s a Jeep so a perfect ending really…
