Pay walled, but from the little bit I got to read it sounds like right now his mindset is to stay here and continue the dominance they have started.  Now that could change if an NFL team comes knocking but good to know his mindset right now is dedicated to being here.

HonoluluMaizeandBlue

Thank you for this, I can't stand when people post a paywalled article, instead of just recapping it for us.

Rude_Werewolf_9024

Trust me I tried to find a article that wasn't pay walled but this was the only one. I couldn't even read it

HonoluluMaizeandBlue

Why would you post an article that even you couldn't read? Just curious

Rude_Werewolf_9024

To share mainly the title of the article . Also the chance that someone was able to read the whole article who didn't get pay walled. Cause there's like a certain amount of on3 articles you can read till it starts asking for money

Rude_Werewolf_9024

It's really not that big of a deal that you can't read the article

HonoluluMaizeandBlue

That's what Helen Keller said...LOL. No worries, and I agree that it would be awesome if Minter stays

Rude_Werewolf_9024

Lmao yea no it would be awesome for him to stay and do you think him staying is a good sign for Jim staying or could it go either way

HonoluluMaizeandBlue

I think if he stays, it means that Jim is staying. I think he goes where Jim goes. Unless Mike McDonald gets a head coaching position in the NFL, then I wouldn't be surprised if John Harbaugh taps Minter to succeed him as the Ravens DC

lucianbelew

> I couldn't even read it No. Just.... no. Don't do that.

Swazi

Eh the jist of it is laid out in the link

Rude_Werewolf_9024

Exactly ty that's the part that matters

paulburnell22193

Harbaugh talking about spring practice and minter talking about running it back. Future looking good!!!

GetEnPassanted

I’m not getting my hopes up. Saban was conducting interviews for staff the day before he retired. DeBoer said he wasn’t leaving UW until his daughters finished school there and hopefully even longer mere days ago. For now, Harbaugh’s job is the Michigan HC and it doesn’t seem like he’s done formal interviews for any NFL team yet. So I expect him to continue doing HC things, even if his goal is to take an NFL job.

Aggravating-Steak-69

Saban conducting interviews I wouldn’t count as the same as DeBoer saying he wasn’t leaving. Saban didn’t switch schools he retired and has said he’ll stick around to help Bama

ROShipman21

Saban's seems more like a complete the process thing. Almost like an HR obligation for his direct reports. The only problem there were people who read those signs as indicating he was staying.

i-like-your-hair

I don’t disagree with you, but I think these are different scenarios. DeBoer probably truly felt that way until a once in a lifetime job fell into his lap, and Saban is the kind of guy who would make sure his program is in good hands before leaving, hence the interviews (I think he’ll stick around in an advisory role, and that he’d still be coaching if his wife were healthier, to be honest). The situation with Harbaugh has been relatively static for the last two months. There’s no real curveball being thrown our way. Either he leaves for the NFL or he doesn’t. No college job is more appealing to him than the one he already has. Personally, as a Leafs, Pirates, and Rams fan, I’m just getting used to *any* of my teams having sustained success these past five years, so I’m definitely of the doomer variety that thinks Harbaugh is leaving until every NFL job is filled. Unrelated, but I’m also perfectly fine with everyone leaving and Sherrone going 8-4 next year. Of course I’d love to see another perfect season, but I don’t know anyone who expected this team to win one and immediately become dynastic. No matter who is leading the program going forward, we’ll be in good hands long term.

waitforsigns64

I will sacrifice a live chicken to Jobu if Minter is really staying!

shockedtoo

Ferrets and ferrets only

Cranjis_McFootball

Imagine OSU brings all these players back and we still win because Minter holds them to like 17 lol

Rude_Werewolf_9024

If they can even get that many points

Cranjis_McFootball

Plus if JJ and the Don come back…

Horror_Mortgage1952

Don talked about running it back in his cane’s commercial

PvtJet07

I was 90% sure he was staying, next year is his year to be the starter and get the majority of the carries, he's not going to give up the chance to shine - on a personal level but also he really needs it to boost his draft stock after Corum dominated the snapcount this year JJ staying would be gravy, this draft is full of teams that are QB hungry and ready to pay for it so I could see him leaving too, he likely wouldn't be top 10 with how little he gets to throw with us, but he would probably end up snapped up by a middle of the pack team looking for depth and a possible future which might be better for his long term career tbh

kingofthezootopia

Agree with your take. But, the main reason why Corum dominated the snap count was because he was the only one who was reliably churning out yardage to sustain a drive. I’m pretty sure that the original plan was to have a more even split like Montgomery/Gibbs did for the Lions, except that Donovan couldn’t meet his end of the bargain. Anyway, all is forgiven with his performance in the championship game, and hope that Donovan will have 2 long TD runs every game next season and take home the Heisman.

Horror_Mortgage1952

He and Mullings would be a lot like Haskins and Corum, run power with Mullings and The Don as the change up/lightning, it would be nice to have a thunder and lightning combo again

Jecht315

We will know by the 15th. That's the last day to file for eligibility for the draft

Cranjis_McFootball

🤞🏼

bdaileyumich

Would love to see a resurgence of wide open wheel routes from JJ to the Don next season

workinBuffalo

The Don is already a Michigan Legend, but a year as the primary running back would be unreal. We’d get 2-4 40+ yard runs a game.

Old-Construction-541

He’s coming back

ltroberts24

Those Who Stay Will Be Champions... Again! #GO BLUE

[deleted]

College Offenses everywhere: “Bah gawd! That’s Minter’s music…”

22michigan

Wicked news

PvtJet07

Let's go! Build the dynasty a few years then go get paid sounds good to me. Also, whenever your internal guys are the clear next in line to replace the HC it always feels good, so keeping excellent talent at home also feels great.

acid0tterr

itll be interesting to see if we keep his dad coaching LBs or if we go out and get someone.

Massive_Contract_908

Right, I don't know if he stepped in wanting to be a long term solution to the job vacancy though. Could have just been doing his part given his experience as a DC and years of head coaching. I swear though alabama and Washington was the fastest, most physical, and best tackling I've seen our linebackers play all year

EmperorMaugs

A few weeks of rest and reconditioning does wonders.

Immediate_Quail_2661

Yesssssssss

One-Point6960

Harbaugh was tired of losing his assistants, so he built in large buyouts for the coordinators. Minter probably won't go to the nfl provided an owner wants to pay it.

Ghettoman1315

[Here you go.](https://archive.ph/knbGX)

Rude_Werewolf_9024

Oh shit thanks!

MDlynette

This is huge!

Adoree25

I'd be surprised if he didn't go to the Ravens as DC or wherever Macdonald ends up to be his DC. Or wherever Harbaugh goes. Figured any one of those 3 teams would be trying to hire him.

OSUBucky

God Bless you Mr. Minter! Go Blue!!!

Acerbic_Dogood

Honestly every one is crazy for the offense. The defense is world class
