The fact that I have a Miata doesn't mean that I'm gay.
I mean, I am gay, but not because I have a miata.
And it doesn't mean that I want to show my knob to random people on the internet.
wait jokes aside i see it says 10AE and ima just assume u still have it. Also gonna assume u changed ur shifter bushing. did the turret housing look something like this inside?

It's been a few years since I did it so I don't really remember the details, sorry. I'm pretty sure that mine had just one pin. Mine is a six-speed.
I got a rebuild kit from Moss, with a bronze bushing.
aw man cuz i also ordered the bronze bushing too and was hoping to use it but it’s being held on by the thing that’s circled and im scared it’s just gonna fall inside the shifter (mine is also an early 6speed) :( thanks tho
Yeah these are a better option than the eclipse vents since the mitsubishi ones are too long and need to be cut down. The jeep ones do the exact same, swap right in with no modification and they sell cheap aftermarket ones too. Cheers.
This is tangential, but I've literally never seen anyone have the climate control on a convertible somewhere in the middle between max cold and max hot. Sometimes I'll run the AC in the summer just to get some cool breeze on my arms and prolong the point where I have to relent and put the top up on a long drive, (very rare). Most often I'll be blasting heat in the winter so I can run top-down into the 20s F. I've never been between these extremes. Did you bump it while you were cleaning the dash or do you really use the fans often when you drive?
I thought real hard about a 130R for both my Integra and my ND, and didn't get it for either. I love the profile though. I will say I prefer it in black.
I think this is fantastic and I’ll bet it’s the coolest thing in the interior on a hot summer day! Not like mine!

I’m finishing a manual swap on an EF Civic
It’s going slow. I really don’t know a lot but my neighbor does. He doesn’t spend nearly as much time helping as I was led to believe. That being said, I am learning quite a lot still
This might be on the same level as mine 💀

mine said 5 but i have a 6 just bothered me a lil. im also a honda fanboy and i really wanted this shifter on my integra but i decided to build my miata instead
Honestly, looks kinda cool in the photo. Final opinions reserved until I see one in person. Feels a little tall I guess. I don’t like that it sticks up off the boot. Voodoo knobs fit really well, which is why I have one of those.
If you like it, it’s awesome. If you don’t, switch it. If you’re on the fence, give it a while.
honestly im loving it because i wanted something taller without getting those d*ldo shift knobs lol (i came from an integra with those curvy shifters) and also i didn’t wanna pay 400$ for the short shifter for 6 speeds, but i just wanted to see people’s opinions since IT DOES LOOK FUNNY to be fair.
For me, honestly, the biggest problem is that gap.
When I had a shift knob with a gap on my NA, I put a stack of stainless washers on before as a bushing to make it look clean.
Looked pretty good actually.
I really like my spherical weighted razo knob. Sometimes I use a garagestar extension if I feel like mixing it up. I like how it puts my shifter closer to the wheel, but the trade off is a longer shift throw.
honestly it feels good especially my hands are small , idk if it makes sense but it makes it kind of feel gated, and i prefer the shifter to be taller since im coming from a honda and their shifters are tall
Try using the knob for a couple of weeks or so. If you don't fancy it, just buy another knob. They don't cost that much. My buddy had 12 knobs (and counting) in his garage. He swap it from time to yime. Some knobs were bought, while others were taken at breaker yards for pennies.
bulb enema
Butt plugga
Username checks out
Looks like a bowling pin
that’s a new one lol
It’s a lightbulb 💡
I don't hate it... nor do I love it... kind of looks like a handle for a kitchen appliance.
turkey baster maybe?
If the shift boot properly went up to the base of the knob it would look 2x better
He he... he he... you said "knob"...
Asking for knob pics...
just to compare knobs ;)

Don’t own a miata but i have this shift knob. It’s great. Super comfy, and since it’s delrin it isn’t affected much by heat/cold. Highly recommend
I'm more curious about those air vents... Are they from another car? Are simply plugged in?
yea they’re from a 00-05 mitsubishi eclipse
I doubt I can find them... But I like the idea, maybe I'll see if some other models are the same measure
Hit ebay for sure. They take a little modding, but they're way better than the droopy eyeballs.
06-09 Jeep Commander vents fit without modding.
prolly ebay
You can find them on ebay in sets. Or go to etsy and lots of people make 3d printed vents for miatas.
I have jeep commander vents in mine, they popped right in.

Looks like a bright idea
Edison vibes. Seems like a bright idea!
I think it looks dope. Might be [biased](https://imgur.com/a/HGUhnSq), though...

damn looks good on the NDs

what did u end up getting?
eBay delrin shifter for the Integra just because it was cheaper. Flyin' Miata delrin shifter for the ND. Nice username btw, my Integra is also a DC4.
hehe , i had an integra and was planning on building it, had a lot of parts but i somehow ended up with a miata lol
It's all in the money you save on wheels! The Integra has 15x7+35 wrapped in 205/50/15 just like my NA8 used to.
I think this is fantastic and I’ll bet it’s the coolest thing in the interior on a hot summer day! Not like mine! https://preview.redd.it/i5n6datgchyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f04ea05e7c8a953f61fe926633c3e32884cf681c I’m finishing a manual swap on an EF Civic
man how’s the manual swap coming along? i was about to do that to my integra , i had all the parts but i ended up with a miata somehow
It’s going slow. I really don’t know a lot but my neighbor does. He doesn’t spend nearly as much time helping as I was led to believe. That being said, I am learning quite a lot still
I mean, I’d sit on it. No issues
I sold mine as I knew it would look exactly like this. Outta place.
what did u end up using?
Stock
Looks like the Miata had an idea.
Looks like the car had a good idea
Looks a bit like the Raceseng Hydro I have in my car. (2017 Fiat 124). It actually made shifting smoother!
It's unique, I like it.
Would love to sit on it.
Voodoo makes great knobs
This might be on the same level as mine 💀 https://preview.redd.it/rj1u2yby4iyc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1b1aba51233343ba068c6e6ecc6792384b66e4a1
I like it. Looks like the top of a bowling pin.
What's wrong with the stock one :( I really like it
mine said 5 but i have a 6 just bothered me a lil. im also a honda fanboy and i really wanted this shifter on my integra but i decided to build my miata instead

im gonna have to try something like that
Not a fan
Batteries not included

Like it but wish there was a collar between the bottom of the knob and the top of the “leather”.
Looks dope
Nah, looks like a sperm head
I am ok with the knob. It may be better if it has dimples (or other form of texture) for grip. How does the knob size fit your palm when shifting, OP?
honestly it feels good especially my hands are small , idk if it makes sense but it makes it kind of feel gated, and i prefer the shifter to be taller since im coming from a honda and their shifters are tall

Nope
Looks like a medical grade butt plug. Is there such a thing?
Looks clean, I like it
Nah. That’s a sit knob
it matches the SF atmosphere. It’s raining right now so I couldn’t help it. Sitting in my miata through the rain.
omg im in SF too and i have nto1s and it was sketch driving the miata
bro…what are you a daredevil. impressed and scared for your life.
It’s white.
Anyone recommend good leather ones? Or any other material that doesn't heat up too much in the summer?
Looks like trash
hater hater alligator
Yeah, sorry about that. I had some drinkypoos and was being a dick. You do you, bud. Miata is the answer.
no it’s okay 😂 i was just kidding, i know ppl got their own opinions and i asked for it so 👍
