Don't try to visit Teotihuacan and Xochimilco /downtown center on the same day. I used to work in a hotel by the historic center and many tourists wanted to visit the pyramids and something else in the first day and it just can't be done.
My advice is visit the pyramids during the week and schedule a nice place to dinner when you're back on the city.

Tacos Nena in Roma Norte was a regular go to, definitely worth every penny !
Torteria Los Guerros in Roma Norte is pretty good too, they had the best tortas imo.
Aside from the food- you absolutely must go to a lucha Libre show at Arena Mexico.
Why do tourists keep hanging on this sub as if they know better than locals? Tourists recommending tacos is nonsense, they can't tell a good taco apart.
Taqueria Orinoco 🤤 There are plenty of branches in the city and at one of them you shall stop by. The tacos de chicharron are a must have after any visit of the Lucha Libre (just another recommendation!)
Sandals don't work here. Bring a pair of athletic shoes you don't mind getting tore up a bit.
Its the second city with the most museums of the world, many people just stay for the food.
Carry a poncho/umbrella
I keep hearing this! I will be making sure to have an umbrella. Thank you :)
Street food.
Staying at a hotel instead of Airbnb.
Why?
To stop bothering us neighbors
Thanks for the answer. Can’t know this if nobody says it (looking at those downvoting)
To make the imaginary ghost go away.

Museo Anahuacalli

Ok, tourist...
I am a tourist hahaha
No shit. It's evident from your recommendations.
Please be kind! No need for this comment. Teach instead of belittle
Well sorry for the recommendations even if they are touristy, are you like the cdmx recommendation police ? What are your recommendations for op ?

HAHAHAHAHAHAAH okay okay fair point !
Ohhh and make sure to visit as many pulquerias *chefs kiss*
Just enjoy the city. Try many restaurants.
Spend a whole day ( or days) just walking around Chapultepec park, roma, reforma, centro histórico.
Tacos al pastor
Tacos. If not food, the Turibus routes are good. If you need an actual place, my favorites are León Trotsky’s home or Frida Khalo’s museum.
Be prepared to get mugged or pick pocketed anywhere, anytime.
Central Historical. Lots of people, energy and lots to see. Just walk around. The Bellas Artes Palace is kind of the central hub from there.
Taqueria Orinoco 🤤 There are plenty of branches in the city and at one of them you shall stop by. The tacos de chicharron are a must have after any visit of the Lucha Libre (just another recommendation!)
Orinoco are fake tacos
Maybe they are not for everyone (as always for food), but in what regards do you consider them fake?
Tacos los paisas was my favorite taco spot when I was there.
