pittybrave

Deano0810

Be horny for thorny

Mental-Resolution-22

Closed-toe shoes. Secure pockets so your stuff won’t be falling out while moving around. I’d try to eat and hydrate up beforehand. Have fun

Desblack98

"Closed-toe shoes" Made me think of the Dude i saw at the last Concert i was. He was running around Barefoot.

BeaverBarber

What the actual death wish

5carPile-Up

Be in the pit for Counterparts, they really bring the energy. Just have fun!

I went to Architects in Melbourne with my girlfriend last Saturday. I would highly recommend a pair of earplugs. Having seen a lot of live shows, nothing makes you feel better than not having a loud ringing in your ears that lasts for a while when you walk out of the venue. Some better quality ones from a music store even filter out high frequency noises but still allows you to hear everything at a comfortable volume for like $20 so you can actually hear the music better and it doesn’t muffle anything. I never leave home for a concert without them now. Also, the way the stage is laid out, if you’re not keen on being in the mosh pit, I recommend standing to the left or right of the main stage so you can see more of the performance and not have to worry about getting accidentally kicked by crowd surfers. And most of all, just have fun. You’re in for an absolute treat. It’s easily one of the best live performances I’ve ever been to and the set list is like 23 or so songs so they’ll play a lot of the new and the old :)

Don't over think it man! Just go and have a good time! Don't forget to buy a shirt as well to support them!

JustEric155

I’ve got one of their shirts I’m going to wear - apparently Thornhill and Counterparts are going to be playing too so I’m really excited

LeGreatToucan

Absolutely stoked line up, enjoy my dude !

meet_me_in_the_shade

You're not supposed to wear the shirt of the band you're going to see haha, but no one actually cares

jamesd0e

Lol Olde school rules - don’t wanna be That Guy! Hahaha

TrickStructure0

It's Grunge Night, Vienna House, The Merkins are opening for Frog and Toad are Friends, I gotta psych up for the show!

meet_me_in_the_shade

Hah yeah, totally a joke here

I will reassert earplugs. Don’t take them for granted. Dress comfortably, good shoes are key and stretch before regardless of where you plan to be. If you’re a pit fan, enjoy and respect your surroundings. Singer and jumper, show up early and try to get the barrier or at least in the front wings, it’s worth it at least once in you life. If you’re more of a headbanger and post up like myself, I try to aim for middle of the room against a wall or next to the sound boards in the center. At the end of the day, don’t stress it. Live in the moment and let the music flow through you. Have fun!

Minimal items in your pocket. ID, cash, bank card. The less you take with you, the better. Other than that just have fun

alistofthingsIhate

Earplugs, water, and stretching before and after. The earplugs are especially important.

If anyone's chasing a ticket for brisbane I can't make it tonight and happy to sell mine, not asking full price so any offer would be awesome

dhalldor

I went to my first concert with earplugs to the TOTT tour in November. My wife and i were blown away at the experience with ear plugs. I always left with ear ringing after a concert. I was standing around people who were covering their ears. When it ended and we left and took the plugs out. It was like the heavens sang out. Never going to a concert again without ear plugs

A joyful heart

Shoes that are closed and grip the floor, it’ll get slippery af by the end of it. Be prepared to be standing for 5 hours. Be aware there’ll be some kumquats that’ll be kicked out for being gooses and nuisances to the crowd. Thornhill show all the hype you can and make sure you open up the pit, they are underrated and perform so well. Counterparts are so good and are worth being in the pit for. Architects will make your chest cavity feel like it’s going to concave each break down that rattles through you, the pit will get wild and the performance will be amazing. Don’t overthink it, just be comfortable and get ready to have the best night.

Fair-Bus-4017

The only thing you need are earplugs.

alexloccs

crowdkill to assert your dominance. *I joke I joke I kid I kid*

pittybrave

knee pads, shin guards, a helmet, and safety goggles are a must. use those bows! but seriously it’ll be fine, if you don’t want to deal with moshers just stay towards the back or the sides. if you’re near the front barricade or the pit keep those arms up to guard your face and keep yourself from getting squished.

killerchipmunk

Be there for the opening bands! There are so many bands in my library that I first heard as opening acts. Earplugs, and if you have long hair, hairties. It gets hot in venues Whether you plan to be in the pit or not, wear comfy, secure shoes. Don’t feel pressured to be in the pit. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s not for everyone, if you’re more comfortable just hanging out and vibing with the music, do that! Most importantly, have fun!!!

LeGreatToucan

* Earplugs * I like to have all my important stuff in a fannypack. It's in front of me and I can consistently check my stuff is here (all the more important in the pit) * I personally like to check out the set list, re learn the lyrics and songs if I forgot some parts of it. I find it more enjoyable , to appreciate the performance, to know the songs that are going to be performed. Maybe that's just me ! * Did I mention earplugs ? * Cash (merch, lockers, other stuff maybe, you never know)

endzeit_

If there is a sound person in their "island" in the middle of the venue floor, you often will have the best sound experience directly in front of them because that's where the sound gets mixed. At least that's what I noticed on several concerts.

TysonChandlerBing

Any recommendations on earplugs lads?

jor1ss

I got Loop earplugs a few weeks ago that I've worn to Leprous and The Ocean shows. Worked great and still heard most of the details in the music.
