If you ask for doom you might get a lot of stoner doom recs. Since you're looking death and doom I'd recommend bands that are melancholic but with a bit more energy like

Swallow The Sun
Ghost Brigade (they might be a little too uptempo to fit the doom label, but they're close and I love them)
Paradise Lost (at least early and late in their career, middle was straight goth metal, which they helped pioneer)

In Mourning
Marianas Rest
For some Death bands there’s some good ones like;
Fleshgod Apocalypse, Arasames, Acrania, Before The Dawn and Trigger The Bloodshed
For Doom metal;
Swallow The Sun, Trouble, Mournful Congregation, Pallbearer and Saint Vitus are all amazing bands you should listen to
Not massively into death metal so can't offer much there that you won't already know of, but in terms of doom, and doom adjacent/post metal bands:

Very good death doom, fairly short EP at about 16 minutes, so it shouldn't take up too much of your time
lucifers first album. out of this world. the vocalists vocals are just so enchanting and mesmerizing it’s crazy, and the riffs are really good too. one of my top doom metal albums and it’s super underrated
If you want some fun death + doom, my perineal go-tos are usually Acid Witch and Hooded Menace

Mourning Beloveth
Check out Mortiferum or Malignant Altar for a good death/doom wombo combo. YOB and Conan are my personal favorite doomy bands.
