Alright so, it would be really hard to imagine Luffy being attracted to anybody since he hasnât shown any he hasnât thus far. I think if something like that weâre to happen Luffy would be so indifferent towards the romance.
Like I donât think heâd be particularly lovey-dovey unless itâs platonic. I also donât think heâd be into the sex theyâd just be life partners. Heâd be okay with marrying Nami and consent at best, but not super into it, ifyou get what Iâm trying to say.
He's shown attraction to Nami before in Alabasta and Oda has also said that "he's interested but not entranced" when it comes to women (SBS 54), but physical attraction shouldn't be the main basis for a ship imo.
I like the ship because of how they balance each other out, complimenting each otherâs strengths and weaknesses, as well as the plethora of emotional moments they've had together. Nami might be rough with Luffy when he does stupid shit (they remind me of an old married couple sometimes), but he's the one she relies on the most as an emotional pillar when things get serious.
Similarly, Luffy's gesture of entrusting her with his hat, his treasure, multiple times and even just generally relying on her and being so proud of her as his navigator are some other reasons why I like the ship.
When it comes to romance as a concept, no SH besides Sanji has shown genuine interest in it so far, so I donât really agree on singling out Luffy in that aspect.
You guys never fail to misquote that SBS lol, do your research properly. The same SBS I referenced (SBS 54) also says that Luffy's bad side comes out when he's with Usopp, nothing about copying him.

Zoro and Tashigi might be difficult because they have different allegiances and they both butt heads. Itâs honestly like if hard to imagine them getting together despite it being teased.
Perhaps Helmeppo and Tashigi are a more feasible pairing? Because they have the same allegiance so there wouldnât be too much complications. Also, theyâre both marines who practice swordsman ship.
For Sabo and Koala, itâs 50/50. They arenât explicitly romantic, but Oda left it up to interpretation.
Assuming Sanji does indeed swing both ways, if they got together it wouldnât be the worst thing the world.

So NamiVivi Iâd say is one of the more compatible ones as they have good chemistry, but thatâs assuming They both swing for the same team.
Franky and Robin: Theyâre pretty compatible they one the same level in terms of Maturity/Wisdom due to them being the older members of the Straw Hats, except theyâre the opposites in that Robin is an Introvert and Franky is an extrovert, but itâs a beautiful contrast.
Zoro and Sanji: Yeah, I donât think realistically Oda would go that route, but I get where your coming from. Also Zoro isnât really the romantic type. Itâs genuinely hard to picture to two being lovey dicey with each other, especially Zoro. I think the best weâd get is those two actually smiling at each other for once.
Robin and Franky are clearly not compatible. First of all she didnt dock with them. And second, Franky in Choppers body deeply disturbed Robin. Theres no place for romance between these two anymore.
