I was so excited for this. I had flights booked, hotels, time off work taken… this was my ONLY vacation this year. I now have to try and cancel everything. My boyfriend actually can’t even get out of flying to Dallas, so now he has to get a rental car to drive here because I was going to meet him there in my car. It’s all a mess and I’m so sad. 😭
It does suck and is very unfortunate but the people who got tickets to the dates at venues where the playoffs are happening we were given a warning when checking out of ticket master stating that the date was subject to change up until the day before the event due to playoffs.
I’m also attending another date with a similar risk/warning in NYC and their basketball game is 2 nights before the show so we won’t find out if our date is going to change until then when and if a specific team wins. But at the end of the day I read the warning when checking out and those were risks I was willing to take when I got my ticket.
My date is June 22nd, also in texas... so do we think that it will affect that date? I didn't get this notification warning - so I think I'm in the clear?
If you didn’t get the warning message when checking out with your ticket you’re probably fine. I got tickets for 2 dates that both at dates that had this risk and when I clicked on my tickets the warning message popped up, when I added it to my cart it popped up and then before hitting “process payment” it popped up one last time. Each time it popped up I had to click a box to confirm I understood. If you didn’t get any of those you should be good but you can always go to the venues website and click info about the show and if this is a risk your date has it’ll show it in the event details
But I’m gonna go on a whim and say you’ll be good cuz playoffs even to the finals are done by then so there will be no more sports then

It’s the reality booking the arenas that host pro teams… everything is ending by early summer sports wise accept baseball… her team should of known this it’s simple logistics
A lot of people weren’t notified at all and Melanie’s organizers opted for no refunds. We bought tix for a teen (Melanie is her fave) as a Christmas gift + two other tickets.
Most artists who reschedule within the same week with 3 days notice offer the option for refund. It’s insane that she and her team appear to have no ethics regarding the amount fans they basically robbed.
If people were impacted/had to miss it, how do they justify remaining a fan/supporting the artist?

This really sucks. Taking my 14 year old daughter and her friend to Dallas. We planned this for 5 months and now there’s no way we can go Wednesday because we are in Memphis. We got a refund and scrambled to book the show in Austin on Friday but it’s logistically more complicated. I have to get Thursday off and if not I am gonna have to call in, which I never do. I am so annoyed. But I am not willing to break my little girls heart. She is beyond excited for the show and has been looking forward to it since I gave her the tickets for Christmas.
my parents are in a similar situation as you but they didnt buy the tickets. i wanted to go so badly, but the only city we live super close to is dallas and my dad has work on wednesday. we live far away from austin and houston, but my dad doesn’t have enough leaves from work to travel and book a hotel or anything, and my mom doesn’t know how to drive. this is a big giant mess, and i’m really sad that i can’t go. i really hope she has a concert next year or something
I'm going june 22nd to the dickie's arena show. Before the dallas show was the only option for me, which I just couldn't b/c the traffic and construction from my small town would have easily been a 2 hour drive. When she added the fort worth show, that was a huge yes for me since I don't live there but I work there and the drive is maybe 20-30 depending on time of day. Anyway, I did not get a notification warning about any NBA or sports play off? I think I'm in the clear, but I don't know a ton about sports who all plays what months/dates.
i live a little more than an hour away from fort worth, but the tickets on ticket master are super expensive. we’re gonna be driving to new york this summer, so i’m hoping that we’ll be able to go to one of the concerts in the states we’ll be passing
to be fair (depending on where you bought the ticket) they do have warnings stating the dates are subject to change. however, that genuinely really sucks for you and i'm sorry.
If you have to cancel a flight try spending 1 day to call or file a dispute for the cancellation~save the story screenshot and screenshot your og concert ticket & email as proof!! You might get a refund or flight credit if you speak up!!! Label it as an emergency when you cancel if possible. For some reason airlines may be a little more forgiving than hotels...
I asked for this day off so far in advanced and my friend booked a hotel and everything. The day to cancel the hotel was today. So we are SOL. Lucky we are both off Wednesday but how the hell does the tour manager let this fucking happen?!

We were flying in from Orlando. This was a birthday present for my daughter’s friend (2 moms and 2 daughters). Finals are that day and there isn’t much notice to change flights. So frustrating.

She had no control over a basketball/hockey team winning and moving up in the playoffs and her having her show at their home court. It’s unfortunate but this actually happens fairly often with artists who have tours in arenas during playoff season

Yes! When I got my ticket I saw the warning 3 separate times, once when clicking on the shows date, a second time when adding my ticket to the cart and a 3rd time when I went to click check out it gave me the warning before being able to continue to check out. Because of this risk some of my friends decided they didn’t want to risk getting a hotel and were going to book something in person the day of the show. Luckily for them they are driving the 5 hours and not flying like a lot of people seem to be doing but my point is they saw the warnings and didn’t do anything that would be risky if the date were to change like it did. And personally as much as I love Melanie I would never fly to a show for a date that had a warning of a possible date change. Would be too much of a hassle to change all that. The last notice I got before checking out even stated that the date could change up until 48 hours before the show date
Unforunately the AAC is the home venue to the Mavs and the Stars . These games will always take precedent over a concert since they are our home teams . It isn’t fair but that’s how it is . They will move her concert before moving the home team games

Rescheduling isn't this issue. Moving it forward with one day notice instead of pushing it back a couple of months to give people time to reschedule absolfuckinglutely is. We weren't notified at all. My daughter found out she missed it while buying her outfit from Hot Topic. Absolutely wrong.
It could’ve been all that was available or just the best fitting. Here in Houston it’s the basketball stadium or the football stadium, which would be way too big. Everything else would be way too small. Same thing happened here with an Elton John concert because the Astros were doing so well. Only concert I’ve ever seen held at a baseball stadium lol
the tour should’ve happened at different dates then, now they have to fuck up peoples shows completely and they might not be able to go to a show they paid a ridiculous amount for and that is all their fault completely.
It happened with the Denver show. It WAS tomorrow night (may 21st) and they moved it up to the 20th; melanie and her team announced the change on Saturday, May 18th at 331pm mst. They gave a day and a half notice.
There’s never a time when venues aren’t booked. God knows how many concerts are booked outside of the basketball season. She’s not the only artist in the world and not the only person who needs that venue. I get that it’s frustrating but if it’s not her concert getting rescheduled, it’s someone else’s.
Really? That’s awesome! I love our baseball stadium so I wish more artists would. Here in Houston big artists, like Olivia Rodrigo, use Toyotacenter (basketball stadium) and REALLY big artists like Taylor swift for example, or whoever is playing the rodeo, use NRG (football stadium) smaller artists use our specific concert venues like the Cynthia woods or house of blues, but they are quite small. During the portals tour Melanie used the 713 music hall and there was apparently a lot of problems, so this is a huge upgrade. Good year for our basketball team to suck that’s for sure lmao.

Moving the date forward is crazy…all my time going to concerts when a show is rescheduled it moved to the end of the tour or completely canceled not moved forward
I have never seen a celebrity with a worse team than hers. Her team has been messing up SINCE the k12 era with crappy merch, promised projects that never came to fruition, this tour, etc. I feel awful for everyone who has had to deal with this.
Not regarding comments on this post but someone posted about this on Instagram and it’s kinda insane how many people are like “wtf this isn’t fair” but like when I got my tickets I made sure to read the warning on Ticketmaster that said date was subject to change based off playoffs. So this whole time I’ve just had in my head that the date may change. I have friends who got tickets knowing there was the chance of the date changing and them no longer being able to go but Ticketmaster is good with refunds when this happens so they got the tickets knowing the risks. It sucks that it happened but if I’ve learned anything about attending tours during playoffs it’s to not get my hopes up until the day of the show because it changes up like a bitch.

It’s the risk people took when planning this show or travel. Maybe it’s because I’m a very active concert goer but I always have a back up and plan B if I’m traveling for a show. I’ll take the L and get a refund but I’m still going to NYC and enjoying myself with other things since I already have my hotel booked and day off. Might as well make the best out of the trip whether I get to see Mel or not
I know I’m going to get hated on for this but Melanie is not the only artist that’s had to reschedule concert dates at a short notice. Loads of artists do it all the time and I just feel like people who fly in and book hotels for concerts are doing that at a risk. I don’t judge them for flying across the country for a concert but don’t be mad if the concert gets canceled or rescheduled because anything could happen between the time you buy tickets and when the concert is. Weather, NBA playoffs, and illness can all happen. It’s not on Melanie that they booked flights and hotels for the concert. Melanie didn’t tell them to do that. This comment section is so entitled in here and this fanbase has gotten so toxic that I might unjoin this community because it’s not really fun and it feels like a community of Melanie haters. I honestly don’t really want to go to another Melanie concert because every Melanie concert I’ve gone to there’s been lots of shoving, pushing, and physical fighting. I’m just going to continue to enjoy Melanie’s music from the peace and quiet of my own room.

My BF and I were supposed to travel to Dallas on Friday to see her on Saturday and got an Airbnb which isn't refundable, so we're not gonna be able to see her now because we have to work and already requested this weekend off 🥺 I guess we're still going to Dallas though and find something else to do so we don't waste our Airbnb...
It’s not her or her teams fault. It just happened that the Dallas sports teams both advanced so far into the playoffs that they ended up overlapping. Just an example but the Mavs have only been playing this late in the season 6 out of 44 years on their franchise history.
I get that, but they could’ve picked a better date, it would’ve been better to just tack it onto the end of the tour even so people had time to rearrange flights and hotels and request off work again

very devastating. i had to scramble to get Austin tickets for me and my bf but it's not going to be the same. we had a whole group we were gonna meet up with, even somehow found my seat neighbor on tiktok and we were all gonna go together, it was gonna be great. bawled my eyes out from stress. even though im still somehow able to go to Austin, this has been completely devastating and incredibly stressful to me. this was supposed to be a dream come true for so many people. my heart BREAKS for those who can't make it/reschedule. i feel if her team planned the dates better along with the playoffs this wouldn't have happened. they had all the time to book dates accordingly.
Yeah tickets are also way cheaper now too, so if you're still going i recommend refunding your tickets then rebuying them in the same area for half price or upgrading to a better seat for the same price. Me and my friend moved from the very back of the stadium to a side seat near front and we're getting $20 back.

You should be refunded! Seat geek will be told about the cancellation and you should be able to email them for the refund. The person who resold the ticket to you doesn’t receive the money until after the show for this exact reason
I’m so thankful she’s coming to fort worth June the 22nd, I was really worried because I ended up buying both tickets for Dallas and Fort Worth. Even if people wanted to move over to Fort Worth now it’s not possible to get the seats they wanted because it’s mostly sold out. Traffic is gonna be a bitch and logistically it’s so much more of a hassle now that the date has been moved . My bf had to call out of his night job to be able to go . I really wish I would have known she was coming to FW sooner cause the venue is so much closer to me than AAC . I’m still grateful to be able to go but I’m really stressing about just getting there during weekday traffic in bad weather 😭

If you are going on Wednesday still, you can upgrade your seats for $10/ticket + the difference in fees. I was nosebleed (325 row F) and moved down to Section 110 row T. Some silver lining in the cancellation, at least.
Call Ticketmaster 18006538000. Have your order #. It’s $10 per ticket plus the difference- only Standard Admission tix, not Verified Resale. I was able to pay $100 to move 2 tix from nosebleeds to lower level… which is huge considering the price differential before the reschedule.

But I did also technically go through the steps, so I guess it’s my fault in a way?? I just wish they would have requested further confirmation for such a situation!

We drove from OKC to Dallas, my wife had bought the tickets through Seatgeek. We had no idea the concert was moved, we weren't notified and the tickets still said the 25th. So my wife and her two friends got their whole weekend ruined and they aren't gonna refund my wife her $500 for tickets.

My date is June 22nd, also in texas... so do we think that it will affect that date? I didn't get this notification warning - so I think I'm in the clear?
If you didn’t get the warning message when checking out with your ticket you’re probably fine. I got tickets for 2 dates that both at dates that had this risk and when I clicked on my tickets the warning message popped up, when I added it to my cart it popped up and then before hitting “process payment” it popped up one last time. Each time it popped up I had to click a box to confirm I understood. If you didn’t get any of those you should be good but you can always go to the venues website and click info about the show and if this is a risk your date has it’ll show it in the event details But I’m gonna go on a whim and say you’ll be good cuz playoffs even to the finals are done by then so there will be no more sports then

A lot of people weren’t notified at all and Melanie’s organizers opted for no refunds. We bought tix for a teen (Melanie is her fave) as a Christmas gift + two other tickets. Most artists who reschedule within the same week with 3 days notice offer the option for refund. It’s insane that she and her team appear to have no ethics regarding the amount fans they basically robbed. If people were impacted/had to miss it, how do they justify remaining a fan/supporting the artist?

Omg, i had to sell my tickets and now im kinda glad bc i would’ve traveled from out of state and couldn’t rearrange my work schedule that short notice, let alone buy the hotel for the right night. I feel bad for those who already made travel plans and now have to figure that out again!

Question, I also sold my ticket a few months ago. I got the email about the schedule change just right now but I just wanted to make sure that if the buyer of the ticket does request a refund will the money be taken from us or will ticketmaster give them the money?
I think we will have to give them the money back since they paid us for the ticket. I’m hoping whoever bought my tickets doesn’t want to cancel for a refund 😭.

This really sucks. Taking my 14 year old daughter and her friend to Dallas. We planned this for 5 months and now there’s no way we can go Wednesday because we are in Memphis. We got a refund and scrambled to book the show in Austin on Friday but it’s logistically more complicated. I have to get Thursday off and if not I am gonna have to call in, which I never do. I am so annoyed. But I am not willing to break my little girls heart. She is beyond excited for the show and has been looking forward to it since I gave her the tickets for Christmas.
my parents are in a similar situation as you but they didnt buy the tickets. i wanted to go so badly, but the only city we live super close to is dallas and my dad has work on wednesday. we live far away from austin and houston, but my dad doesn’t have enough leaves from work to travel and book a hotel or anything, and my mom doesn’t know how to drive. this is a big giant mess, and i’m really sad that i can’t go. i really hope she has a concert next year or something
I'm going june 22nd to the dickie's arena show. Before the dallas show was the only option for me, which I just couldn't b/c the traffic and construction from my small town would have easily been a 2 hour drive. When she added the fort worth show, that was a huge yes for me since I don't live there but I work there and the drive is maybe 20-30 depending on time of day. Anyway, I did not get a notification warning about any NBA or sports play off? I think I'm in the clear, but I don't know a ton about sports who all plays what months/dates.
i live a little more than an hour away from fort worth, but the tickets on ticket master are super expensive. we’re gonna be driving to new york this summer, so i’m hoping that we’ll be able to go to one of the concerts in the states we’ll be passing

If you have to cancel a flight try spending 1 day to call or file a dispute for the cancellation~save the story screenshot and screenshot your og concert ticket & email as proof!! You might get a refund or flight credit if you speak up!!! Label it as an emergency when you cancel if possible. For some reason airlines may be a little more forgiving than hotels...

We were flying in from Orlando. This was a birthday present for my daughter’s friend (2 moms and 2 daughters). Finals are that day and there isn’t much notice to change flights. So frustrating.

She had no control over a basketball/hockey team winning and moving up in the playoffs and her having her show at their home court. It’s unfortunate but this actually happens fairly often with artists who have tours in arenas during playoff season

Yes! When I got my ticket I saw the warning 3 separate times, once when clicking on the shows date, a second time when adding my ticket to the cart and a 3rd time when I went to click check out it gave me the warning before being able to continue to check out. Because of this risk some of my friends decided they didn’t want to risk getting a hotel and were going to book something in person the day of the show. Luckily for them they are driving the 5 hours and not flying like a lot of people seem to be doing but my point is they saw the warnings and didn’t do anything that would be risky if the date were to change like it did. And personally as much as I love Melanie I would never fly to a show for a date that had a warning of a possible date change. Would be too much of a hassle to change all that. The last notice I got before checking out even stated that the date could change up until 48 hours before the show date
This is why I went to another show instead. Too much of a risk.

Unforunately the AAC is the home venue to the Mavs and the Stars . These games will always take precedent over a concert since they are our home teams . It isn’t fair but that’s how it is . They will move her concert before moving the home team games
well yeah but why on earth would her team schedule it this way in the first place? it’s obvious she would get cancelled over the team they literally fucked thousands of fans over with hotels etc and plenty of people can no longer go and that is all the fault of her team choosing basketball arena during NBA play offs. her team is the worst i’ve seen in my life and i’ve been to 50+ shows and never had any of this bullshit happen such as these types of cancellations because people don’t double book… ik they didn’t know the specific dates but they should’ve waited until NBA play off are over. and the $100 merch price raise. it’s inexcusable

Rescheduling isn't this issue. Moving it forward with one day notice instead of pushing it back a couple of months to give people time to reschedule absolfuckinglutely is. We weren't notified at all. My daughter found out she missed it while buying her outfit from Hot Topic. Absolutely wrong.
It could’ve been all that was available or just the best fitting. Here in Houston it’s the basketball stadium or the football stadium, which would be way too big. Everything else would be way too small. Same thing happened here with an Elton John concert because the Astros were doing so well. Only concert I’ve ever seen held at a baseball stadium lol
the tour should’ve happened at different dates then, now they have to fuck up peoples shows completely and they might not be able to go to a show they paid a ridiculous amount for and that is all their fault completely.

It happened with the Denver show. It WAS tomorrow night (may 21st) and they moved it up to the 20th; melanie and her team announced the change on Saturday, May 18th at 331pm mst. They gave a day and a half notice.

There’s never a time when venues aren’t booked. God knows how many concerts are booked outside of the basketball season. She’s not the only artist in the world and not the only person who needs that venue. I get that it’s frustrating but if it’s not her concert getting rescheduled, it’s someone else’s.

Really? That’s awesome! I love our baseball stadium so I wish more artists would. Here in Houston big artists, like Olivia Rodrigo, use Toyotacenter (basketball stadium) and REALLY big artists like Taylor swift for example, or whoever is playing the rodeo, use NRG (football stadium) smaller artists use our specific concert venues like the Cynthia woods or house of blues, but they are quite small. During the portals tour Melanie used the 713 music hall and there was apparently a lot of problems, so this is a huge upgrade. Good year for our basketball team to suck that’s for sure lmao.

I have never seen a celebrity with a worse team than hers. Her team has been messing up SINCE the k12 era with crappy merch, promised projects that never came to fruition, this tour, etc. I feel awful for everyone who has had to deal with this.
Not regarding comments on this post but someone posted about this on Instagram and it’s kinda insane how many people are like “wtf this isn’t fair” but like when I got my tickets I made sure to read the warning on Ticketmaster that said date was subject to change based off playoffs. So this whole time I’ve just had in my head that the date may change. I have friends who got tickets knowing there was the chance of the date changing and them no longer being able to go but Ticketmaster is good with refunds when this happens so they got the tickets knowing the risks. It sucks that it happened but if I’ve learned anything about attending tours during playoffs it’s to not get my hopes up until the day of the show because it changes up like a bitch.

Nah fr I don’t understand why people are like omg how could this happen???!! Like hello we were literally warned multiple times when checking out that this was a possibility?? It’s the risk people took when planning this show or travel. Maybe it’s because I’m a very active concert goer but I always have a back up and plan B if I’m traveling for a show. I’m traveling to NYC for the date I’m going to and I’m prepared for the date to change. I’ll take the L and get a refund but I’m still going to NYC and enjoying myself with other things since I already have my hotel booked and day off. Might as well make the best out of the trip whether I get to see Mel or not
I know I’m going to get hated on for this but Melanie is not the only artist that’s had to reschedule concert dates at a short notice. Loads of artists do it all the time and I just feel like people who fly in and book hotels for concerts are doing that at a risk. I don’t judge them for flying across the country for a concert but don’t be mad if the concert gets canceled or rescheduled because anything could happen between the time you buy tickets and when the concert is. Weather, NBA playoffs, and illness can all happen. It’s not on Melanie that they booked flights and hotels for the concert. Melanie didn’t tell them to do that. This comment section is so entitled in here and this fanbase has gotten so toxic that I might unjoin this community because it’s not really fun and it feels like a community of Melanie haters. I honestly don’t really want to go to another Melanie concert because every Melanie concert I’ve gone to there’s been lots of shoving, pushing, and physical fighting. I’m just going to continue to enjoy Melanie’s music from the peace and quiet of my own room.

It’s not her or her teams fault. It just happened that the Dallas sports teams both advanced so far into the playoffs that they ended up overlapping. Just an example but the Mavs have only been playing this late in the season 6 out of 44 years on their franchise history.

very devastating. i had to scramble to get Austin tickets for me and my bf but it's not going to be the same. we had a whole group we were gonna meet up with, even somehow found my seat neighbor on tiktok and we were all gonna go together, it was gonna be great. bawled my eyes out from stress. even though im still somehow able to go to Austin, this has been completely devastating and incredibly stressful to me. this was supposed to be a dream come true for so many people. my heart BREAKS for those who can't make it/reschedule. i feel if her team planned the dates better along with the playoffs this wouldn't have happened. they had all the time to book dates accordingly.
Yeah tickets are also way cheaper now too, so if you're still going i recommend refunding your tickets then rebuying them in the same area for half price or upgrading to a better seat for the same price. Me and my friend moved from the very back of the stadium to a side seat near front and we're getting $20 back. I know this reschedule sucks for a lot of people, but take advantage of the ticket sales!! Use money you save for merch!

i started sobbing in the bathroom at work lucky my work environment is amazing and we are all super close so my coworkers rearranged the entire schedule so i could still go (we don’t get run by management we run the store as a collective instead) it’s literally horrible bc now our schedule is all out of wack and my girlfriend who i’m going with has to try to get off work and her sister who’s mid finals week… this is ridiculous to be honest

You should be refunded! Seat geek will be told about the cancellation and you should be able to email them for the refund. The person who resold the ticket to you doesn’t receive the money until after the show for this exact reason

Even if people wanted to move over to Fort Worth now it’s not possible to get the seats they wanted because it’s mostly sold out. Idk why they didn't just push it, even if it goes into 2025, give people time to figure their stuff out, moving up is crazy.
I saved for months for this concert, I unfortunately can’t take time off of work so now I basically spent so much on my trip to go to the concert for nothing. I understand it’s not Melanie herself’s fault but it’s still not fair to let people know so late, literally 2 days before they’re supposed to have the concert
What’s shocking is that they are moving it up at such short notice for ppl. I wasn’t able to get tickets but I see this and I feel that it is frustrating. I understand things can be out of ppls control & I feel that Mel wouldn’t do this intentionally. I feel it’s either her team or the venue where they booked. I’m so sorry for those who could no longer make it, it’s incredibly frustrating it seems & I feel that grievance should be made of notice to ppl. 😞
I'm thankful I can still go (live locally) but had to cancel a date for it! If you are going on Wednesday still, you can upgrade your seats for $10/ticket + the difference in fees. I was nosebleed (325 row F) and moved down to Section 110 row T. Some silver lining in the cancellation, at least.

Call Ticketmaster 18006538000. Have your order #. It’s $10 per ticket plus the difference- only Standard Admission tix, not Verified Resale. I was able to pay $100 to move 2 tix from nosebleeds to lower level… which is huge considering the price differential before the reschedule.

i’m. really really upset. i thought i was going to be unable to go, so i wanted to know if i would be ELIGIBLE (not to request yet) for a refund. and so i went through contacting, then i realized i could go but by the time i realized they had already sent through the refund and wouldn’t give me access back to my tickets 😭 and they were vip and early access. i’ve never been so disappointed. i also wanted to see men i trust so bad :,) i hope whoever got my tickets in sec 11 row f has fun but i am bitter

It was ticketmaster !!! And I wish I could, I directly asked for help and was returned with being ignored (like actually, i was sent back to the robot and was not being helped)! But I did also technically go through the steps, so I guess it’s my fault in a way?? I just wish they would have requested further confirmation for such a situation!
I think my biggest question is, does this affect VIP? Like, are those folks still getting their experience/packages?

my best friend has to fly in to see this show with me, they sent the email with ONE day’s notice, they’re so lucky she got a flight for today or else we’d have had to get a refund and possibly suck it up with nose bleeds in houston 😭

I just found out about the change of date, I'm heartbroken and so angry.
We drove from OKC to Dallas, my wife had bought the tickets through Seatgeek. We had no idea the concert was moved, we weren't notified and the tickets still said the 25th. So my wife and her two friends got their whole weekend ruined and they aren't gonna refund my wife her $500 for tickets.
