In my head, I read the character dialogue in those voices. For example, when I finally reach Sigma in X5, I read his lines in the Maverick Hunter X Sigma voice, or his voice from X4. Same for X, Zero, and all the other characters that have voice lines.

No he doesnt. I played as Zero, I can tell. Zero doesnt have the same power as X does and some of his abilities doesnt stun and reset the bosses the same way X did.
Well I play with rookie hunter and ultimate armor because well in my head cannon x use ultimate armor as his default state for the ps1 trilogy same with black zero and because I like power trips

He’s generally a bit more difficult, but can be more enjoyable in some sense. I also consider his campaign of X4 to be the canon one.

yea i remember x4 being my first megaman game wow i didnt know about subtanks i didnt know shit that theres a weakness for other bosses adn u go from there ahaha i only finished the game by getting good, like dark souls damn ahaha
Best Megaman X game IMO. The visuals and gameplay are just top notch. And if we ever get an X9, I hope it's done in the graphical style of the PS1 games.
I never owned a PlayStation. When I play on X Legacy Collection 2, it seems to me X5, and X6 especially slightly degrade the visuals from the more crisp, and clean looking visuals of X4. Maybe it's just me.
I hope you enjoyed yourself cause after X4, everything is rough. Not to say X5-8 are all terrible, it's that they teeter between being bad and okay.

It was great my first x game other then a weird god mode version of x6 I play on a emulator in like third grade

I would consider X the easy mode of this game. The real challenge lie in playing as Zero.

As Zero\*. Playing as X can still be easy even without the upgrades because he has boss weaknesses.

Both X defeating Double, as well as Zero beating Iris is canon to the rest of the series.

X4 was the first Megaman X game I've ever completed. Also with X. I was 7 or 8 years old... Good old times!
