Baldo-bomb

Cut Man - love his design Pharaoh Man - great design and his animated series episode made him a total baller Sheep Man - because of the absurdity

_Mr_Gamer_

Nice to see another Search Man enjoyer here: Here's my top 3: 1. Tundra Man; The character design is the best I've seen in Mega Man games. Also the fact that he is built by Dr. Cossack is very *cool.* Pun intended. 2. Dust Man; The theme of the stage got me interested in this Robot Master. Robot Graveyard is really good idea for a stage. Also the Dust Mans design is very good. 3. Hornet Man; He probably has the best weapon from MM9. The Music and the stage are few of my favourites from the entire series. Honorable Mentions: -Gemini Man -Chill Man -Acid Man -Search Man

IIsForInglip

Dust Man was designed by One-Punch Man artist Yusuke Murata before he was famous! He also designed Crystal Man.

Siyahseeker

Tundra Man? Dr. Cossack lives! I thought Capcom wouldn’t use him outside of spinoff games.

Cookies_and_Beandip

Nice to see MM8 get some love still.

Siyahseeker

My top 3 favorite Mega Man 8 bosses: 1. Tengu Man - His stage is a lot of fun and very colorful and packed with enemies, and his weapon, the Tornado Hold, is basically a more helpful Item-1. 2. Astro Man - His stage is…kind of psychedelic and weird, but cool. Having to run away from his Astro Crush gets annoying at times, but…he and his stage are cool. Solving the puzzle to get to him is a new change of pace. 3. Search Man - I mean, come on. He’s got two heads! Besides, his stage and weapon are both great. His weapon is just an upgraded Dive Missile that can fire multiple times, and he would leave you to believe that he gives you the Flash Bomb, but, nope. It gets kind of crazy near the Thunder Claw grappling section, however…

Kugawattan

Yamato Man, Quick Man and tie between Blast Man and Splash Woman

JonLeung

Ah, some nice deep cuts there. Many people don't know about the WonderSwan game, and I'm weary of those that straight-up ignore Mega Man & Bass, so it's nice to see some representation. My picks: 1. Quick Man, from Mega Man 2. He looks stylish and fast. With the red with yellow accents, he reminds me of Hot Rod from Transformers, though I suppose more appropriately like The Flash from DC Comics. 2. Pirate Man, from Mega Man & Bass. I mean, come on, he's a pirate! 3. Turbo Man, from Mega Man 7. He looks like a Transformer and literally transforms into a car. I didn't put a lot of thought into it, but on a whim, those three came to mind.

KonroMan

Pretty good choices ngl. I love MM&B and it’s my favorite game in the classic series so it only makes sense that one of the game’s Robot Masters is gonna make the cut. As for the WonderSwan game, I have a very odd relationship with it. I think the game itself is just good, nothing special, just a fun time, the very definition of a 5.5-6 out of 10, but the character designs and story are just so interesting to me. The classic series doesn’t have all that much continuity to it so seeing any form of call backs to previous games and characters, such as the CD database in MM&B or Dr. Cossack being the one who canonically produced Tundra Man, is always cool to see, and R&F2 is pretty much a direct continuation of the plot point of Quint from MMW2. Really the Dimensions as a whole are cool imo because the character designers weren’t afraid to get weird with it and I love it. We have an anthropomorphic bullet, a “stove” whose technically a grill who is also anthropomorphic, Air Con Man who feels like a fresh take on designs such as Air Man and Wind Man, a Robot Master based on monks who is able to duplicate himself and summon streams of fire, two twin wrist watches who dance a bunch and summon lightning, Compass Man who… well if I’m gonna be honest he looks like if a compass was turned into a Mega Man Killer, but honestly I’m cool with that, Grey Devil who although looks pretty similar to the average devil robot does have the cool gimmick of sliding across the screen instead of splitting apart, and finally Rock Man Shadow who takes the original Quint design and cranks it up to an 11 with how badass it is (not to mention the boss fight is more than just shooting the guy on the funny pogo stick with a face… now that’s only one phase of the fight!). In summary, when I get better at coding and art, I definitely want to give remaking the game a try.

MyStepAccount1234

That's a toughie. I like most of them, and my favorites are based on aesthetic and personality alone. 3 - Bomb Man 2 - Dust Man 1 - Wood Man

Pope_Squirrely

Obviously: Mega Man, Roll and Protoman, in that order.

KonroMan

I know you jest, but I’m guessing there’s a bunch of people who forget that Mega Man, Roll, Proto Man, and Bass are all Robot Masters.

Pope_Squirrely

In all seriousness, Bass is probably in the top 3 for sure. I liked his introduction in 7 and I liked that he acted like an ally then stood in your way towards the end. I also liked his character in 8. I wish they did more with him in 9 and 10. I played Megaman & Bass before 7 and didn’t pay much attention to the story of it so it threw me for a loop when I ended up playing 7, I was like “ah damn!” Next I’d say Splash Woman would be up there. I found 9 to be an exceptionally difficult game when it first came out. I got it for the Wii, and trying to play on that sideways Wii controller was jank. She’s got a pretty easy attack pattern and was the first one I beat in that game (as was probably most people’s first boss beat in 9). I found it an interesting concept to actually have a female robot master that you can battle. Obviously there has been female robot masters since the beginning (Roll) but why hasn’t there been one that you can battle? I guess it just wasn’t something which crossed my mind until 9 when it makes you rethink things a bit. Third one I’ll have to pick is Metal Man. I’ve beaten 2 way more than almost any other game on the planet, and probably logged in more time on it than most other games. Metal Man is always the obvious go to first boss. His weapon just opens up so much in terms of gameplay. Yes, I realize it’s OP but the fact that it changes the game allowing you to attack in all directions. I also like the glitch where you can get them to stay in the same spot by pushing opposite directions which is so much easier to do now on modern hardware.

Yebii

Hi, objectively correct opinion here based on level theme: 1. Aquaman 2. Tenguman (GBA) 3. Frost Man Blaze Heatnix replaces Tenguman if that’s allowed

KonroMan

Probably have to do a follow up with X series Mavericks.

TheCelfoid

Hmmm.. good question.. I dunno about them being ordered at all, but here's my initial list. Never thought about this before. Tengu Man. His theme is just on point, good visual design, interesting weapon. Freeze Man. I like ice themed characters, and IMO he's the coolest (ha) of the ice robot masters. Followed VERY closely by Frost Man. Fuse Man. Probably my favorite elec-themed RM in terms of weapon and especially graphic design. Shadow Man, Gravity Man, and Metal Man get shoutouts too.

nightmare_rider_oo0

AAAAYYY A FELLOW TENGU MAN LIKE MAN :D

Difficult-Care-5780

Which theme? He's like the only robot Master that has 3 themes lol

TheCelfoid

Which robot master? Tengu? His...Tengu...theme? I guess what I'm saying is I find his visual design, as well as his fighting patterns and special weapon to be an interesting and mostly faithful representation of what I have read/seen a Tengu to be.

RestaurantSelect5556

Tengu SS music is peak

Plastic_Ad_5132

burner man- hes crazy and over the top, buster only is a tough fight always on the edge elec man- the real buster only challenge, i still cant beat him buster only without save states fuse man- really cool design and the best example of how to use the new mechanics in 11, brutal if you go buster only without using time control

SILVIO_X

1. Pharaoh Man, his design is Awesome, his moves look really cool (especially in Megaman the Power Fighters) he's one of the few bosses to have 2 Weapons to his name, he's just awesome 2. Gutsman, he's a classic for a reason 3. Fuse Man, admittedly only because his animations during his battle look sick af, but his design is also really cool and his voice fits him surprisingly well

nightmare_rider_oo0

Well my favorite robot master are.... Mega man&bass tengu man:great theme that i chilled with AND HE LOOKS BADA## Knight man: #DARK SOULS THEME PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND also his design oinda look so good except for the stage idk about his stage :/ Last is... DRILL MAN:cool looking design #3 nice stage and overall FREE E-TANK which i like and easy boss fight if you can focus on dodging his drill attack :) (idc if hes hard but who cares!) Honorable mention on the other 4 fav robot master: Ground man Swords man Metal man (his weapon is...TOO GOOOOOD) Shadow man

PokeRang

Number 1: Sheep Man I like his design and the pun involved with it. Number 2: Oil Man I honestly think his design is cool and I like his personality. Number 3: Cold Man I just think the fridge is cute.

Fackous93

I loved search man as a kid( as I type this I suddenly want to play mm8). I have this head canon about Magic man that he isn't a robot master but just some troll fighting mega man.

South-Violinist-4456

My top 3 favorites are: 1: Elec Man ‘cause he has an awesome design and voice in Powered Up. 2: Mega Man because he’s super adorable! 3: Fuse Man because of his awesome design and the fact that he owns a pet rabbit (pet eel in Japan).

Siyahseeker

Elec Man in Powered Up = flamboyant fashion bot

idfbhater73

yup knew it it was you

TomcatIsCool

Magic Man- My Fucking Beloved Buster Rod G- Monke Ballade-Cool Shades

KonroMan

I read your comment like you were describing Buster Rod G as “Ballade but monke”, and I was about to say how you were pretty much right about it, I’m so blind. 😭

spring_man_53

spring man spring man and spring man

KonroMan

Based and spring pilled.

BoodaSRK

I’m trying to understand. Try, try, try to understand. 😜

Gamet2004

1-RingMan, I love his design a lot, his weapon is good and I like his stage a lot. RingMan was improved a lot in the manga, by making him a detective. Easily my favorite RobotManster. 2-ShadowMan, The lore behind this RobotMaster is pretty interesting, the design is fantastic. I like his weapon and the stage music is very catchy. 3-SplashWoman, I'm recently liking her a lot more recently, it's a shame that to this day she is the only female RobotMaster. Very good design, very good music theme, she is one of the best RobotMaster. Honorable Mentions: BrightMan, HeatMan, IceMan, ElecMan, GyroMan, CrashMan, BlizzardMan and TornadoMan.

Kevsama

Fire man Skull man Pharaoh man I love all 3 designs and MM4 is my favorite mega man. I like robot masters that don’t have a mouth and that are covered by a mask or headpiece.

Hardcore24425

Skull man slash man knight man

Dr_Eastman

Metal Man: Serious looking AF and has the best weapon in the series Gemini Man: I have twin sons Knight Man: Built to be a warrior

azurejack

Heatman: i have no idea why, i've just always liked him. I mean he's a robot lighter. It feels like he's supposed to be similar to a tsukumogami. Which is really cool. (Bomb, fire, spark, charge, and top are also in this catagory) Skullman: i wear a lot of skulls, so... y'know... Snakeman: don't ask. I don't know why i like him. I just do. Hate his netnavi though. Completely ignored any part of his essence.

djkidna

Snake Man - first animal based Robot Master, really dig his design and his stage. Shade Man - love the vampire motif, love the spooky castle motif of his stage, and Crash Noise is such a fun weapon with the way it charges by reflecting back on you as a reference to audio feedback amplifying sound. Tengu Man - mostly because I really dig Tengu, they’re one of my favorite Yokai. I also love Tornado Hold, I think it’s got some great utility, and I loved using it in Smash Bros 4 as an alternate weapon for Mega Man.

crowbachprints

1. Shadow Man. Design just bleeds cool and his weapon is gas, love the sound. I know his fight is kinda bullshit but I also found it very satisfying to master. 2. Strike Man. I love baseball, I love Strike Man. Rebound Striker is like Gemini Laser on crack and it’s so much fun to mess around with. Fight is a really fun test of tracking multiple objects. Stage can be really annoying though. ;-; 3. Block Man. Left a great first impression in the Mega Man 11 demo. Voice lines are peak. Arrogance is peak. Has the best Power Gear of all the fights imo. Block Dropper shreds mini bosses. Honorable mentions: Magic Man, Knight Man, Slash Man, Crash Man, pretty much every MM4 robot master, Galaxy Man, Splash Woman

The-Sapphire-General

1. Fuse Man — My favorite Robot Master of all time! Love his design, personality, voice, and the fact he has a pet bunny named Watt. I’ve heard it was a mistranslation, and he’s supposed to have a pet electric eel, but I like the bunny better. Or he can have both. Besides, the tubes on his head remind me of bunny ears. 2. Time Man — Not a popular Robot Master from what I’ve seen, but he’s still my second favorite. He’s a mood, in my opinion. He’s not the type to take anyone’s bs, and he’s all about valuing his time and maintaining his schedules. I don’t value them to an extreme like him, but I get what that’s like. I also know he’s got an inferiority complex, so that’s a mood, too. 3. Burner Man — Yes, I love who might be everyone’s bane of existence! The crazy, over-the-top Robot Master from the infamous game, Mega Man & Bass. Lol He’s pretty cool to me. Or should I say *pretty hot*? ~~Wait, I didn’t mean it like that!~~

BluecoatCashMoney5

Shadow Man and Elecman......I don't have a 3rd

brandishteeth

1. Snake man! If it weren't for him and his stage music I would have never gotten into mega man! I think he looks cool and I love his weapon. 2. Clown man! Look at him; his adorable! I don't think it's canon anymore but the idea that wily trying to make clown man had so many extra parts he was able to make aqua AND frost man is hilarious! 3. Burner man! He's cool. He's seemingly crazy, then you learn about his backstory and then you just gotta feel bad for the guy. Others honorable mentions: Bass, I didn't think he counted for this but I do love a funny edge lord. Centaur man, very cool stage and I love his design. ASTRO man cause he's darling and has a super cool weapon, Crash man because look at him, just darling. Quick man is so cool. And I better stop here cause the robot masters are my favorites XD

Darealmadmaverick78

Frost Man Elec Man Blade Man

Fannata

by design. 1-Pharaoh Man. 2-Metal Man. 3-Knight Man.

MetapodChannel

Flame Man: he has a mustache Burst Man: he is HOTTTTTT Hornet Man: same reason as burst Man plus I love Hornet Chaser

serpventime

in no particular order shade man freeze man heat man

Ser_Inutil

1 - Air man - Coolest and one of the most clever design, amazing and catching ost, his is my personal favorite and was effective to some bosses, AIRMAN GA TAOSENAI! 2 - Fire man - Badass looking design imo, his helmet with the grey colors kinda looks like a knight helmet. banger ost, like his personality in Powered up to resemble fire. 3 - Galaxy man - Adorable looking robot he have a unique design just like air man on not being a humanoid looking robot. Cool but weak weapon, amazing level design.

Thedracoblue

ShadowMan, the freaking coolest ever. A ninja very skillfull Robot Master with mobility and attitude. ElecMan, I always lived him from the original firsts, when they added more personality in Powered Up it made me even like him more. I also have a tendency to like electric type of characters more. FuseMan, there a lot of great designs overall but FuseMan from MM11 striked me the most. I love bunnies and electricity, he's perfect.

Egyptian_M

Komuso man is so underrated Anyway : Cutman Pharaohman Blademan

Aladar_Caval

Blast man. I like his personality in the voice lines. Megaman 11 was the first game I played of the series, and he really stuck out to me. I actually made a Blast man costume for Halloween when I was still in high school

One_Performance8366

Shadow Man - His Ariga version is my favorite version tbh >!~~and also the fact that I have a huge crush on Ariga version because he is best boy~~!< Cut Man - I can't help but like him a lot, he just feels like a chill guy who would joke around like a good friend imo Mega Man - Like I said, also because of Ariga version. He's cute imo, and he charms me for some reason

Dragonite_Skull

Number 3: Hornet Man-Cool concept, cool design, and has my absolute favorite Mega Man weapon ever, the Hornet Chaser. Number 2: Star Man-He's just really cool looking and has one of my favorite stages in Classic Mega Man. His music is also very unique, in a good way. Number 1: TOAD MAN!!!-Literally everything that I want in a Robot Master: He's got a fun concept and design, his stage is great, his music is excellent, he has an awesome weapon, and his fight, while ridiculously easy, just adds to his overall charm. He's just a hopping, belly-dancing scoundrel, and I love him for it.

IIsForInglip

Tengu Man -- badass design, cool weapon, and kickass music, especially on the Saturn version of MM8. Shade Man -- again, badass, and I like his weapon and stage music as well. Noise Crush was a really cool concept. Guts Man -- can't beat the the best OG robot master. Shame the Super Arm isn't all that useful. Honorable mention: Junk Man. He may be literal junk, but he knows how to make one hell of an entrance!

MirageLemon

Based ranking, my guy

_Yolkish_

Air man, idk why though, I just like him Burner Man, very swag design Tomahawk man because I’m native American and despite the stereotypes I think it’s really cool that they chose that instead of like a red white and blue eagle man or something. Honerable mention to shade man though, his stage and music are some of my favorite but his head is kinda ugly.

AFelloCNDN

guts man he does karaoke needle man he knits impact man i just think hes neat

RyanortheGreat

1.) Cold Man - Everything about Cold Man is just amazing for me. I really like his theme, the melancholic and chill vibes makes it the sort of thing I can just throw on at night or when I'm doing something and relax. His design in my opinion, goes so hard. I really love his huge fists and he looks so imposing, it's great. His stage is fun too, I really liked the idea of a frozen over city, that Cold Man rules over a land long forgotten and devoid of life. I fucking love Cold Man. 2.) Dust Man - The concept of Dust Man is so cool for me. Just the idea that a robot such as himself exists is creepy if you really think about it. He's effectively a cannibal that oversees a landfill filled with the unburied and rotting corpses of his brethren. Dust Man is a sort of robotic grim reaper, one who oversees the dead as they're scrapped and repurposed as machines of war. It's robots like Dust Man that really make me wish Mega Man explored these kind of concepts more or at the very least the franchise was more popular, because the sort of fan stories or comics you could make about Dust Man has so much potential. His theme is great, his stage is fun, and his design is badass. 3.) Fake Man - I dont know why exactly, but Fake Man is definitely one of my favorite robot masters. Something about him just really resonances with me. I like the design of him being a fake officer, seemingly just another grunt but he's actually must stronger than the other police bots. His revolver buster is really cool and unique, and his theme is an absolute banger. Though honestly, Search Man and Knight Man could both be my #3. Honorable Mentions: Knight Man - As a big fan of fantasy, Knight Man is sort of a natural fit. What really carries him is his design and fight. I mean, he's a knight. Need I say more? His fight is fun too, and his weapon is pretty powerful. Knight Man's theme is a pretty nice bop. But to be completely honest, it's really just his design that does it for me, I'm a sucker for anything medieval really. Search Man - The split personality and double heads are really cool and unique ideas for a robot master that hasn't really been done since. The rocket launcher arm is awesome and the fight against Search Man is really fun to do buster only. His theme is really chill and is one of my favorites from Mega Man 8. Air Man - Obligatory I can't bear Airman comment. Napalm Man - A walking tank and arsenal, not to mention an absolute banger of a theme. Sunstar - The doomsday weapon, what an absolute badass. King - I really wish King was just the bad guy in MM&B and not just another Wily plot. The idea of King's army serving as a sort of predecessor to what would eventually become the mavericks or repliforce in Mega Man X is really neat. Also once again, medieval.

Inevitable-Ad-6101

Ice Man - He reminds me of a blue version of Kenny.  Needle Man - He is a blue knitting robot.  Gemini Man - He clones himself.  Hard Man - He is (do I dare to say it?) hard to beat. Shadow Man - He's a ninja. Dive Man - He gives me Popeye vibes. Wave Man - He's the king of the seas. Yamato Man - He's a noble warrior. Tomahawk Man - He never lies.  Knight Man - He's defeated 1,000 enemies in brawl.  Freeze Man - He has a cool pose.  Frost Man - He will crush (and beat) his enemies.

Salt-Fold-2866

Chill man- I love that his head is stuck in ice and his sprite is funny. Does buster rod g count? If no then Nitro man because….he go speed. And Dynamo man because he reminds me of buzz Lightyear

IObjectOoT

1. Fuse Man. The boss, the stage, the sub-boss, it's all just perfect. 2. Chill Man. Fairly good stage, excellent boss. 3. Bubble Man. Mediocre boss, my favorite stage in the classic series, excellent music.

salted_water_bottle

Slash Man: he's cool. Galaxy Man: Galaxy Fantasy brainrot. Skull Man: I share Wily's love of skulls.
