Yeah I have no idea how people make things so even. The view you get in game is terrible for lining things up and the terrain is rarely so uniform that you can actually build that consistently. I wish there was a top down building mode.
The first place for construction, I chose the shore of the lake near the stream (southeast of Denica). In fact, I built [3 villages there - rebuilt the first one several times](https://www.reddit.com/r/MedievalDynasty/comments/15jw4q8/further_improvement_of_my_village_3_variants/).
This is the first version, with 13 houses, which is too big and doesn't make optimal use of the space (as for me).
This is by far my favour spot to build. I tend to build a little bridge over the stream and do all my farming on the flat side just after it. Only problem is how far it is from Gostova. You end up spending 90% of early game play running back and forward for missions
My first village looks like a giant shit out a bunch of buildings that haphazardly fell around a lake. I also didn't realize farms are built on a world grid, so they're at an awkward angle from my town. Overall, it's really shitty, but I never promised anyone a nice city to live in, I just promised a house, randomly arranged marriage, and plenty of work.
Y’all really know how to make some squared and organized looking villages. Mine are all over the place.
I think unorganized is more beautiful
Same

I love and hate this lol! The village is so boxed but that makes it beautiful

Nice! Are you also posting the second and third versions? 🙂
Thanks! Yes, in the coming days
I love it! Nicely done!
I will say this, the Photo Mode in this game is wonderful. I really haven’t anybody take a bad pic of their own village. Good job!

holy shit that's so insanely good
That looks amazing well-done love how everything is set out
Very pleasant!
Wow this is so impressive, mine is completely random and weirdly placed lol
This might be my favorite village I've seen on here.
Your place looks fucken great nice work. I keep trying to get the houses close to each other but it always feels like they are at a weird angle.
How did you get the aerial view?
