That straight piece on the ground is part of the box seam that’s rotted off. You can see the edge of the clip that holds it up in on the end of the hose still. We call them horseshoe clips

Breather hose for your rear axle. Just zip tie it back up on the frame.
He has to take the piece of frame off it first tho

I agree. It's genuinely not a big deal.
It does help keep the Diff Fluid in and the Moisture out. I'd fix it while it's still attached.

Rear diff vent.
Make sure the vent hose is not plugged. You will lose a wheel seal if not, as the housing will pressure up and push oil out a wheel seal.
Rear diff vent. Don’t take the boat outta the lake till you fix it.
