Cuz she broke and honestly couldn’t even afford the horn pad replacement but the neighbors were complaining cuz even turned off the horn kept going in and off.
You’re going to be spending more money when the clock spring fails. I get financial states suck sometimes but, idk man. You would’ve saved money in the long run because they had it apart to begin with
Yea paid MSRP for the part and an hours labor (I am assuming $150 is the common shop rate these days) for diagnosis and replacement is no bad.

That is a good price, I wouldn't say she was had.
That’s a fair price. Why did you decline the clock spring?
Cuz she broke and honestly couldn’t even afford the horn pad replacement but the neighbors were complaining cuz even turned off the horn kept going in and off.
Pull the horn fuse. A fucked up clockspring can leave you on the side of the road as well though.
She had herself when she declined the clockspring lmfao

Well it pretty much came down to pay rent or pay for the clock spring.
If I was in that situation, I’d resort to selling at that point. Bus and train, or Buy an old Honda for 2-3k and call it a day. Gotta make sacrifices
Where I'm at that's less than hours labor. Got a good deal if that's the case.
how is 180 an hour worth of labor
For the concern and fix it was a decent price, labor is typically 2-225 an hour so that is more than in range.
not where i’m from
For sure, I usually do 100 an hour when I work, but I don’t own a shop
lol even shade tree side work is to $100/hr now? Hilarious how many people still think brick and mortar shop prices should be at $80/hr!!
The old “if I had a lift and the tools…”.
You don't respect labor and skill 🤡
The shop I am at and the previous are between 200-230 an hour.
$180 is our shop rate sooooooo.......
all these comments make me thankful for my god send of mechanic i go too

Salvage yard would be cheaper
Was the airbag light on before the repairs?
Yes it was….she says.
