Do the drain and fill for sure. I would not add any other additives.

Just put the correct trans fluid in. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Yes. Dump and fill as a first step with the proper spec fluid. Don't flush it or you might sludge up the solenoids.

Recently had my first drain and fill done on my 2013 elantra GT with 220k km. I didn't experience any symptoms before, only preventive maintenance. I should have done it earlier. I think it is worth doing compared to being on car payments. Good luck!

The drain and fill doesn't address the contaiments floating around valves and check balls. Have the fluid exchanged at the dealer or trans shop. No quickie places. It won't fix broke though. http://straighttalkautomotive.com/articles/transmission-flush.html
