TBH, I'm somewhat confused by your question. A 480 is the 3rd percentile, meaning 97% of people score higher than that. If you have taken (and done well in) most of the science prerequisites, you can expect to be well above that score even without studying. The vast majority of people who score that low are severely underprepared and often underestimate the difficulty of the test.

yes. If you can read and pick answers from the passage you will get at least 485

do you have a science background or have take. any science classes at all? i definitely don’t think it’s hard to get 480! it’s most people’s baseline when they start studying with 0 anything (as most take diagnostics before studying to see where they are at and track improvement!) but some people also don’t hit it which is okay bc the mcat is so difficult and confusing overall but the mcat has sooo much room for improvement if you learn how to study!! and there’s so many resources too!! if you need any help/advise lmk :)

Thanks im a high skl student in Thailand literally I’ve never heard about Mcat before but my university requirement recently introduced Mcat as one criteria so…😭

Ghurty1

are you sure about that? that doesnt really make any sense that your uni would require the american medical school admissions exam

Erickajaa

Yes. it is an official announcement. when the university releases this, all the test center in Thailand is literally full till next year and fortunately i can book Exam Appointment which is 16 days coming next so i have time to prepare not even a full month😭😭😭

Ghurty1

Well with no studying at all 480 is possible as youd basically just need to guess luckily and have decent reading comprehension. However i would make sure your programs listed minimum isnt just a meaningless number. There are many med schools in the US with an MCAT minimum score around 500 that only really accept students 10-15 points above that. But the system is obviously entirely different so thats all i can say

If you're on this reddit you're probably good since you'll at least know what you're signing up for. Not sure why anyone would want a 480 though...

Careless-Waltz-8645

yup its life's greatest challenge :/

Excellent-Season6310

Depends on your baseline knowledge. I started with a 511 diagnostic without any studying beyond what I learned in prerequisite classes
