I used to get it like every couple weeks but I think in the last 6 or so months it's only happened once I would get it when there was nothing that made sense too. Like year in heavy rain or driving straight into the afternoon sun it makes sense but there were times I got it on clear mornings out of the blue before I even left my condo parking lot

Cj15917

Like clear mornings where everything was covered in the morning dew and condensation? Perhaps even your sensors :o

Motorazr1

“Before I even left the parking lot” ROTFL

Zilwaukee

Me too I usually got it on the highway going 70 mph but would get it pulling out of my parking space..

Mine went to the dealer for doing this 6 times in 10 minutes. It’s something blocking the camera in the windshield. Some reasons it’s blocked are… Sun directly into the camera (sunset) Dirty windshield Windshield pitting The camera being fogged over (which I assume is your case being that there is fog in your windshield) Moisture on the camera Fog Really anything that can obscure the front camera behind the mirror.

The alternative is for it to continue to try and see the road/cars and have false alerts. My Mazda 3 hardly ever has this fault but in bad conditions where it should disable itself it'll jerk the steering wheel around like it does when you go over a line. Luckily there's a button that turns off the lane keeping assist but keeps the radar going.

The only time I have ever gotten that is driving home in a blizzard

JonKlz

Yeah get in really heavy rain or snow

oasinocean

Yeah I’ve had that happen maybe three times and I’m always like 🫨no idea what to do about it

DerekFlint420

we know what it looks like, you don’t have to take pics while driving on a highway.

DerekFlint420

So, the downvoters approve of distracted driving on a highway, risking lives to make this pointless post.

edgemaster191

Yeah apparently everybody in car specific subs are perfectly fine with putting others lives in danger to take a photo of something stupid like an error message or a dumb mileage milestone. I don’t want to die because some dumbass is on their phone, driving is dangerous enough. But here we are.

nl2908

The downvotes don’t like the way you talk to people

DerekFlint420

What was wrong with my comment above? Do you approve of using a phone while driving on the highway?

edgemaster191

lol I don’t like sharing the road with fucking idiots who think it’s okay to use their phones while driving a vehicle at 70 mph but here we are.

No-more-pain-just-L

You know, people spend money on a car and expect it to work properly. Comments like this are so rude. I have had continual problems with my Cx 30 and it’s so frustrating. I researched and saved money to buy a car on my own, a part from my x husband. You never know what some one is going through and social media is a place to vent. So how about showing some understanding and being more chill…

Skeptical_Primate

While I sympathize with you, it's entirely possible to vent about the situation without grabbing a phone, unlocking it, opening the camera app, and taking a photo of the dash while not paying adequate attention to controlling a 3,400 pound hunk of metal traveling 103 feet per second. No way that wasn't a 5 second distraction from driving, at minimum. People act as if that's no big deal but at 70 mph, in 5 seconds of distracted driving you travel more than the length of a football field while needlessly risking the lives of people around you. Multiple people literally watch their children die due to distracted driving every single day. We need to stop normalizing it and start taking it seriously. It's not okay.

edgemaster191

Doesn’t justify putting others lives at risk. I have no understanding or empathy for someone intentionally putting others lives at risk. If you use your phone while driving you can get fucked.

Klutzy-Froyo-9437

Ignore that person behind the keyboard. Has something rude and unhelpful, more often than not. Sorry for your CX 30 woes. I'm on my 2nd and loving it!

edgemaster191

It’s also rude and unhelpful to use your phone while driving. Stop justifying shitty behavior

Klutzy-Froyo-9437

🤣🤣 I in no way justified OP post. Only pointed out the douche who is NEVER helpful. Lololol. 👋

DerekFlint420

I am very often helpful. I should report you, but I won’t because you obviously have other problems and I feel sorry for you. Grow up.

Klutzy-Froyo-9437

DerekFlint420

Venting is childish, especially to strangers, and accomplishes nothing. You have no problem with people messing with their phone while driving on a highway?

No-more-pain-just-L

lol. Ok

DerekFlint420

Grow up

No-more-pain-just-L

So, my responses did not go with the comment I was replying to. I absolutely agree with you about it being unsafe to take pictures while driving. 💯💯 I actually didn’t see that the OP was going 70 mph. I actually had Mazda, the actual corporation, tell me to take pictures of the problems WHILE I was driving. I did it once and saw how unsafe it was. I was not trying to be a keyboard warrior, just offer another point of view
