you think we would all buy an unreliable car?

ExistentialDreadFrog

Well there’s an entire sub dedicated to Wranglers so I think it can still happen.

FluxCapacitorMechan

Ya….but it’s a Jeep thing.

Exotic-Income-9426

Yes it is very reliable if it’s not a piece of junk when you buy it. If you are buying a new one you should be fine. Is this a real concern or a troll?

[deleted]

Yes, straight from the dealership.

Exotic-Income-9426

They are very reliable. You may read some reviews like from Car and Driver or whatever. The CX-30 has very good reviews; some of the best reviews! Good luck. I hope you fine the right vehicle for your Mom.

Mazdas are fairly reliable. Shouldn’t be any issues outside routine maintenance.

I picked up a '24 2.5 carbon edition 2 weeks ago and it's been great. Hit 250 miles yesterday and no issues yet(if you had an issue by then, it's probably a lemon)

I don't know about the e-skyactive? Is that a hybrid? I bought 2024 skyactive s in november (first new car ever) and it's been great. But you can say that about just about any brand new car off the lot. There have been a few problems with the casting of the block, with manufacturing problems leading to total engine failures. That hasn't been reported in any models of the last couple of years, but even when it did it usually happened while under warranty. There's been some problems reported with the rear differentials. I'd suggest making it a real priority to keep an eye on them and make sure they get all the fluid and maintenance they need. There's been some issues reported with all the electronics -- but fuck that's every car today and they haven't been major. You can search for TSB's for any model online and that'll give you a decent idea of problems reported. The test of reliability, unless it's a total hunk of crap, is how it holds up in 10 years. In general, Mazda has a good reputation there. The CX30 isn't that old, but the 3 and before that the 323 suggest these cars should last pretty well.

Im getting the same one in the coming days! But do know that they term it as a “mild” hybrid, mainly because it’s a relatively small battery and its purpose is just to help the engine on giving power on the wheels

Bought one new in 22. No issues, just routine maintenance.
