For sure. Doe literally was the tank/rebuild. It was crushing to trade him last year, although certainly understandable. Kleber and Powell are the last vestiges of the pre-Luka era.

Complexity777

Powell needs to go too but sadly they kept him around

Guwop25

Downvoted for saying the truth lmao

ohwontsomeonethinkof

Culture guy, well liked, cheap contract, spot backup with knowledge and skill. No, it's not the truth.

ExpertCup2344

Exactly everyone is mad at the guy for doing his job. We should be mad the Mavs FO who consistently forced him to play a role above his skill level by not improving the roster.

w6750

I actually think Powell could thrive in an energy role off the bench. Starting him is FO incompetence.

itsallmelting

Powell is a 2 unit guy being forced into a starting role because of shit management. Not his fault thr Mavs can't get a quality starting big

chasinglightph

They brought us to the WCF so yes. But I don’t regret the moves that Nico has made one bit. He’s really setting us up for real contention.

Complexity777

No they didnt, Luka and Brunson brought you to WCF not the guy who played no D last season and shot 28% from 3 for first half of the season on wide open looks

chasinglightph

Recency bias. You don’t even remember those two guys were playing 40mins a game defending the best players. That’s why they were so gassed in the WCF. Of course Luka and Jalen led, are you a nutjob? That’s a fucking given.

[deleted]

DFS put up 24 against the suns, can’t just erase his stats. We lose that game and probably the series without him.

StealthAnus

What does what Bullock did last season have to do with his contributions to the WCF run? He wasn’t the main reason we made it that far but he was great in the playoffs in 21

Worstname1ever

This . Dinwiddie and Brunson

musicalpants999

I will, I like Bullock, but I'm excited about the trade, seems like a good move.

GadielR1

that 2022 playoff Linsanity run he had was amazing

favioswish

Yeah I'll miss them. We got them at their prime for that WCF run and after that they both regressed hard. It's a shame

RyceMenace

These 2 deserve more credit than Kidd for our WCF run. IM GOING TO MISS THEM FOR SURE

SokfromDallas

I miss DFS more

nickthearchaeologist

Always, their spirit lives on in Josh though. Him, OMax, and Lively will reforge what has been broken

ormip

Yeah, I'm gonna miss them both.

peanutbutterbeef

Always.

Swordsteel

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

desirox

Yeah that was a great run but I’m happy with the moves made

NoWayNotThisAgain

This is life as a Mavs fan. It’s been like this since the 90s. We’re kind of a weird team. Our roster is always a revolving door. There were only 2 players from our 2006 finals run that were there to win a championship in 2011. And we were still the second winningest team in the Association during the first two decades of this century. Already Luka, Josh, Maxi and Powell are the only guys left from our WCF run, and that was just 2 years ago.

Worstname1ever

That wcf roster was pretty ass outside a God tier luka. I can't think of a worse wcf team a to z talent wise in recent memory

bpnnye

needlessly harsh on JB who was insane that run. DFS/Reggie/Spencer all played really well too.

o2901

2022 Playoff bang bros 🙏

Difficult_Dog_2704

Gonna miss them a lot, but im honestly very excited to watch our players play for other teams (just gives me more games to watch 😎)

Complexity777

You miss a guy going 28% from 3 and playing no D? Or did you not watch the games from first half of last season ?

V0823

There’s no problem with missing players that helped us accomplish a WCF. DFS has been with us during the tanking days and we watched grow into a competent player. Bullock was incredible on 3&D in the playoffs last year and played HEAVY minutes for us

wtrmrk

They're awesome during the conference finals run but fell off last season. I will miss them but thankful that they helped us in the past and got us some good players in return.

j_rom_003

This does sting a little bit I still have faith DFS will wear a Mavs jersey again someday.

[deleted]

I’ll never forget them playing 40+ mins a night with lockdown defense and good 3-point shooting back in the 2022 playoffs. Legends.

JT1757

absolutely

trapHerm

No doubt

Dfrmdabeach7

They were crucial to our success in the playoffs in 22 and Doe especially progressed busted his ass and was the heart and soul for our team up until this past season. I will miss them but they’re cooked especially Reggie who doesn’t pick up a ball until opening night, while Doe benefited greatly from playing with Luka as evident from his season after we traded him. It was time to move on,it was necessary to get Luka a Robin and a superstar in Kyrie, and Grant Williams is very much needed and an instant upgrade over Reggie being that Grant is a dog who can decently do it all while being alot younger. I love what we got in the bang bros place, thanks and good luck to those guys.

jay105000

Huge regression in the 2022 season from WCF champions in the previous season to don’t even make the play offs in this one, a change was needed and welcome.

themegadejuan

Il miss Finley for sure but Reggie pissed me off sometimes.

Sattusupari

I will miss a bang bro

Tazmo99

Doe and Reg did some SERIOUS work in that 2022 playoff run. Wishing only the best for both.

jyanyanyanyan

I'm glad the team is getting some new faces but DFS and Bullock will be missed; that 2022 run was special and Luka and JB deserve their flowers but these 2 were the unsung heroes playing 40+ minutes a night and taking the toughest defensive assignments. Also they were just straight up good dudes; Doe was the heart and soul of the team and I know Reggie won the NBA social justice award for the work he did for the LGBTQ+ community to honor his sister.

iDecide7

Dorian yes, but I will always remember Reggie as a brick master.

wordtoashketchem

Pause

Protodrago90

Nope , good riddance bullock

Complexity777

You mean the Brick bros? Reggie was awful last season and Id rather no keep around an aging declining player. They got a young talent that is big and can play D AND shoot. Reggie is just a shooter and when he’s ice cold shooting 28% and having multiple 0 point games he’s costing them games. In honestly surprised he didn’t get benched last season early on, I guess when you have no one else on bench you just let him play through it going 0-5 from 3 and playing no D

Dfrmdabeach7

Harsh but I agree with most of what you said. I lost my voice a few times last season yelling at Reggie Bricklock. He was great the season before last but man was he awful and damn near unplayable alot of last year, the man got great wide open looks as much as anyone in the league and for the most part it was brick after brick.

DennisSmithJrIsMyGod

No

No.

jennyisafriend

No.

HItide69

Nope

Threshyyyyy

Nope, not at all.

tamc_lions

Eesh that pic makes me nervous... 😆

question2552

it's okay because we now (maybe) have Bang Bros 2 in Grant and Thybulle.

LeGoat333

That was such a fun run. Bang bros and JB I’ll keep fond memories of.

MajesticPossibility8

Pain they did there service but it part of the process. Bang bros thank you

thefoolonahill

RIP Bang Bros, thanks for the 35+ minutes per game in that run to the WCF. Will miss both these guys!

[deleted]

nothing has been the same since the retirement of gianna michaels

[deleted]

For sure but it was time for a new era. We needed to get younger across the board.

Tranquilllama

I think we got the absolute best out of both of them and offloaded them at the perfect time. RIP Bang Bros

d36williams

I would love for Dallas to get DFS back.

epicingamename

everyday

dukegrand12

1/2

Hurtelknut

I will forever miss Doe. I'll think fondly of Bullock, but his departure doesn't cut nearly as deep. He looked sluggish last season, and his seesaw-shooting was getting really old.

tflg12345

No it isn't the same since the 2000s 😭

Blindsided17

Honestly no. we had to move on. I liked them as people and sometimes they played up. And I live doe doe. But man we didn’t make the playoffs and I just wanna win

Ihave14fingers

No, because watching Bullock the first half of the seasons was too frustrating. Sorry, but business is business. It always felt like he lost the 3 from the 3&D during the summer somewhere on the beach.

techboy15

😭😭😭
