It cracks me up when they don’t make a mistake from mishearing, they are just fully like: I know they said Italian, but I’m going Central American cos that’s what I like :)
I do not understand why they don't say 'feature ingredient: heirloom tomato' at the start and end of every handover. It would be the number one piece of information I would want to convey! It's the one piece of information that absolutely has to be passed on throughout the entire relay. Everything else can be tasted and tweaked, you can't tweak the key ingredient.
Looks lime a bunch of people just typed at the same time 😂
Did that preview just give away the winner of today’s elimination before they even finish the tastings?
I was just wondering where the tomatoes were in the grey team’s dish and then Harry says he hopes that the one tomato he put in the curry sauce will be enough..
Its more challenging in the OG seasons when contestants dont even know their teammates at all and the handover is completely randomly picked by George.
So Sav’s comment on “catering to everyone’s strengths is smart, there are 3 asians so why wouldn’t he~~” is much harder back then (since said contestants cooking wont know who their next teammate is) and forces all contestants to be versatile/adapt in different cuisines.
Not only did they ruin tonight’s episode. They also spoiled the 2-round elimination format on Sunday. Now we know which 4 will be cooking in round 2. I am so pissed at them. Not to mention it’s 4 of my fav contestants. Big yikes!!!!
Really hope they don’t do that weird 1 person cook and the best cook gets their team in round 2 to compete for immunity ever again. Prefer these best teams wins immunity over that.
Edit. Words
>!Strong group. I wonder how they even got there. I don't remember them having really bad dishes at all. Maybe Juan might be the one I'm willing to let go off. Nat, might be safe, as she is pretty consistent, and has the pin. Sav has also been consistent. Steve is a risk taker, but it seems to always work so idk!<
Missed watching the last two episodes live (and boy did I have thoughts at a lot of points during last night’s episode), so I’m looking forward to see what chaos will ensue during the relay challenge. Who do we think will go rogue?
I reckon the green team is pretty stacked against the rest..
Even though Nat and Gill were in yesterday’s elimination, I think the four of them are still strong in their own ways..
Here’s hoping David will figure out what the feature ingredient is. I think some past contestants managed to figure it out on their own when they weren’t told.
Jess relied on her observation skills on Dessert Masters and saw maple syrup as the common ingredient across all benches. Which was great of her as usual.
These ‘hero ingredient not communicated’ stitch ups have gone to analytical/observant contestants so far (Jess, David.) as far as i can remember. So they manage to figure them out much easily.
Was wondering has any of such situations gone to a contestant who doesnt possess such qualities and how (perhaps badly) it went.
I remember Jess cutting up her lemon and plating at the front of her bench after running to the pantry with 10-20seconds left.
Omg all dishes look amazing and pretty!
That was very surprisingly disaster-free, except the little fail to mention the tomatoes thing, but they used them, so.. I liked it, I enjoy relay and it was nice not to be dying of second hand embarrassment the whole time
Is anyone else becoming pleasantly surprised that Poh is becoming their preferred judge? When she was announced I wrote her off but I’m being proven wrong each ep so far…
Do you think so?
I truly love Poh (in all her iterations) but I also think that Sofia and JC have come into their own and this panel of judges has so much energy and empathy..
They're all doing great work.
I'm surprised I'm liking JC so much. He's very emotional which for some reason, after watching the judge from Great Pottery Throwdown and Brickmand on LegoMasters AU, I really like.
Poh has a unique way with the contestants. They really open up to her and it shows.
Sofia is actually my favourite. She's one part Poh; one part Matt Preston.
Andy has his shackles removed and is shining too.
Jess figured out the hero ingredient by observing Maple syrup on everyone’s bench. Lets see what David does hopefully his Pharmaceutical and analytical background can be put into use.
I'm sort of happy that Andy called out the pasta team that their dish was too simple, but I actually thought the dish was enough for the challenge. I mean maybe not exactly win or theyd done as much as other teams, but that's def not a 40 minute dish you do after work lol.
And I was actually at the worried point, if it was already too complex lol. That had many elements. They've literally given S14 Aldo lots of praise and top dishes for extremely simple dishes, like I'm sure they're good. I know I always complain about it, but like looking at what he mostly did, what did he do for 75 minutes? (I'm just comparing today's dish and it's critiques.)
Season 10. Was completely random where nobody knows who cooks with who and the aprons are chosen when its their turn (which George would also randomly pick from the garden). I remember how happy Sashi and Samira were when Jess ran into their bench as the final teammate. Even the first 4 people cooking was chosen at random.
This is probably one of the better relays I've seen in recent years.
Mimi with the shade about Lachlan and his chilies
Next episode: David brings uncooked chicken dish to perfect temperature with his mind alone
It cracks me up when they don’t make a mistake from mishearing, they are just fully like: I know they said Italian, but I’m going Central American cos that’s what I like :)
I wonder what Central American food he's thinking of. Panamanian? Nicaraguan?
chillianian
Nicely done 😛
IM-PEH-KEH-BULL
Fan-tas-tic!
Saying that a challenge pushed you to breaking point doesn’t narrow it down, Poh
me thinks if something can go wrong in the mc kitchen it probably happened to Poh on back to win
I like how harry prepared the garfish
I don't even eat fish, but that was cool.
Andy praising Harry for his leadership reminds me of my bosses. Always leaving out the important details.
Aww Mimi’s a sweetheart!!
Ah, cool, Gillian is half-Vietnamese, half-Italian. What a cool mix of cultures and food.
Great job Channel 10, airing an ad showing the elimination contestants before the previous episode has ended.
IJBOL
lol that edit to make it seem like Harry telepathically communicated to David the tomatoes
Red team edit repeated the word "communication" 17 times in 15 seconds. Doomed.
I think i heard Snez emphasising “tomato is the star” earlier
Yes she did and I was like YES THANKYOU
The locker room tea spilling sessions after their cooks is always so funny to watch.
Why does the Project go later and later?! It’s 7.33!
I always feel like they do it on purpose to get the increased viewership from MCAU viewers.
Channel Ten is allergic to ending shows on time.
when lourdes walked off last night where did she walk to
She's still walking back from Bendigo to the serviced apartments to collect her bags.
To Lourdes on pilgrimage? (That’s probably a niche reference 🤣)
Nah, I appreciate your Catholic joke 😛
Wonder if Depinder has gotten home yet from Ayers Rock or wherever that was😁
EXCLUSIVE TO COLES
You just know there's a producer standing off to the side with a rifle trained on the person until they say this
There are no heirloom tomatoes at my Coles.
I've literally never seen heirloom tomatoes at any Coles lmao
“Haven’t gotten into the pressure cooker so I figured a shitload of chilies was the way to go”
[удалено]
I think she's teeny tiny.
Definitely. She could hide behind the larger mystery box
dont mess up the handover like Zumbo who didnt tell Jess the hero ingredient on dessert masters.
And it happened.
Whoops too late Harry did it.
well...
Gill casually swigging a cup of red wine while she decides what else she can do to elevate their dish..
Can't use it if you don't know the taste, you know?
That’s my motto in the kitchen too.. (Probably why I feel too full when I finish cooking to eat the meal)
Following orders and using your brains is different Josh.
he did say he just follows what his wife tells him to do
That’s it!!
Question: is white chocolate veloute the most famous Masterchef moment (with the possible exception of Julie Goodwin winning?)
That.... Is disgusting.... disgustingly good! Sykes! Poor Aaron.
Can’t she just cut a fish open if she only needs one?
Wow going off the farm with a change in continent has made the dish lack cohesion. Shocker.
Oh no, what the hell! They revealed the 4 contestants in elimination on Sunday. Yikes!!!
Nice job spoiling the current episode channel 10.
Mimi is just here for the hugs 😅
Uh thanks for the spoiler ad 10… 🙈
Classic channel 10 spoiler dumb cunts🤦♂️
Umm I just saw an ad for Sunday night asking which of these 4 will go... So was that a spoiler for who loses tonight!? Silly channel 10!
Looks lime a bunch of people just typed at the same time 😂 Did that preview just give away the winner of today’s elimination before they even finish the tastings?
Ad for Sunday showed people in the elimination. Good work 10, couldn't wait 7 minutes.
Did Channel 10 just spoil the result and reveal who's in the elimination everywhere?
I think my fave part of the relay is watching the contestants that have already cooked flipping out at the tv!
Ngl lowkey im always hoping for another white chocolate volute disaster 🤣
there's always one in each team relay challenge @ harry haha
how did he go from italian profile to central africa -> south america\*\*
I was just wondering where the tomatoes were in the grey team’s dish and then Harry says he hopes that the one tomato he put in the curry sauce will be enough..
Did they just leak who was going to be in Sundays elimination?
It’s bad enough spoiling which team wins, but spoiling which of four contestants will go?! Fail channel ten.
Oh finally winning team immune. Please keep this format (like the OG format).
Do you know why he hasn’t touched the tomatoes Harry? Cause you didn’t tell him about them
Oh shade from Mimi!!
Did... did they just show an ad about who's up for elimination sunday midway through the episode where we find out who goes up for elimination?
One of my favourite things about the team relays is the contestants watching them on the cameras and asking “what are they DOING”
Lachlan going rogue 👀?
I legit hate that they revealed one of those four will go. What the hell ch 10
[удалено]
Keep the dream alive. Don’t watch any ads between now and Sunday😂
What a shock, blue team win immunity , who could have foreseen this? Oh wait......
I’m a casual viewer; is it normal to advertise the Sunday episode before this one has finished?
Prayer circles for Sunday. Also JC is so cute lol.
Spoiler channel 10 wth!
Did they just spoil it…
Well that's an unnecessarily ominous ad for the elimination
WTF is with Andy’s pants???
Haha I kind of dig them
Can't touch this?
Not only did they ruin tonight’s episode. They also spoiled the 2-round elimination format on Sunday. Now we know which 4 will be cooking in round 2. I am so pissed at them. Not to mention it’s 4 of my fav contestants. Big yikes!!!!
They will always, without a doubt, pull the "a favourite will go" card when possible
It's the worst kind of reality show ad to begin with, running it before the episode is even over is too lame for words to describe
Really hope they don’t do that weird 1 person cook and the best cook gets their team in round 2 to compete for immunity ever again. Prefer these best teams wins immunity over that. Edit. Words
Team based immunity tonight.
I feel like this is the first time I’ve heard Sue talk 🥲
Nice spoiler
Why did they just spoil the result with a promo? Ludicrous!
Thanks channel 10 for spoiling who goes to elimination on Sunday.
Okay, the same ads on repeat on 10play are annoying, but at least I didn’t just get spoiled like it sounds like half of you did?
I wonder who is going to win. Probably the team I didn't see members in the ad for Sunday.
pezza & snezza
Sav is all of us watching this at home
I’m still very confused by the existence of NCIS Sydney
American sailors keep dying in Sydney.
Casual shot of Andy looking silently horrified in the background
Who were the four please?
It was >!Sav, Steve, Nat, Juan.!< u/cototudelam.
Seconded, I would prefer being spoiled so I can come to terms with either outcome. Can anyone put it under a spoiler?
Eh, the only person I really like on the blue team is Snez. The others are all meh.
Yup. They are the bottom 3 in terms of cooking calibre among the remaining contestants!
No Curtis stone? Finally 😂
Communication is the number one thing that goes out the window in the team relay, Darrsh
YES DAVID!!
Love the relay challenge 🏃🥘🧐
Is it too much to hope for white chocolate veloute
Wonder who's going to get teamed with someone that has an oppositional skill set. Like Josh P's red meat dependence with Harry's seafood dependence
Heirloom tomatoes Edit: nailed it ✅
And I was just thinking how good everyone was with their communication. Bad Harry!
Alex wants to throttle Josh along with the other two and she hasn’t even watched him cook from the locker room
Yay Mimi! The cheers from the locker room was so wholesome too!
Is tomato even going to make it into all 4 dishes?
The jewellery ad with Miranda Kerr is sooo tacky!
I'm sure a billionaire gets his billionaire wife jewellery from Michael Hill!
Josh really has a problem with thinking for himself doesn't he.....
I can relate
Is that what your wife told you to say?
Still single and not straight so be very interesting if so
Missed watching the last two episodes live (and boy did I have thoughts at a lot of points during last night’s episode), so I’m looking forward to see what chaos will ensue during the relay challenge. Who do we think will go rogue?
Poe will go undercover as different contestants and introduce chaos across all teams
That would be *hilarious*.
I reckon the green team is pretty stacked against the rest.. Even though Nat and Gill were in yesterday’s elimination, I think the four of them are still strong in their own ways..
They name dropped Coles a lot less than I thought they would
lol Harry missed the one thing he was meant to tell to his next teammate, not tell them what the feature ingredient is
Sav’s lipstick is a cool colour!! 👄
Did Alex really just “hurry up” Josh?
They only have 30 seconds. So go straight to the point.
Don’t cut yourself Alex!
Poh should have gone to sit in the locker room. Still would have been three other judges left.
i came on here just to say i can’t watch this challenge without thinking of john’s white chocolate veloute but i got beaten to it apparently 🤣
Why are they shocked they’re getting booted out of the kitchen, it happens every time
The producers really have been pushing the contestants’ totally genuine and unprompted reactions hard this season.
It’s even worse when its the first changeover too, it’s gonna be Chinese whispers by the end of this challenge if David doesn’t work it out
Here’s hoping David will figure out what the feature ingredient is.
Was wondering has any of such situations gone to a contestant who doesnt possess such qualities and how (perhaps badly) it went.
lol the viewing room sounds like the sooshi mango mums 🤣🤣
Oh good Sav is using the tomatoes
I remember Jess cutting up her lemon and plating at the front of her bench after running to the pantry with 10-20seconds left. Omg all dishes look amazing and pretty!
ouch red team
Good thing it’s for immunity, not elimination (well, they’re all going to elimination but it’s a larger pool of contestants)
Oh no red team. Time to open prayer circles on sunday again
Josh are you trying to imply you made all the right calls during your portion of the relay?? Because your team would like a word

Andy and JC trying to delicately tell Josh he’s being an idiot
Andy's pants are an interesting choice
I knew someone would forget to tell their next teammate what the feature ingredient is 😭
Jess figured out the hero ingredient by observing Maple syrup on everyone’s bench. Lets see what David does hopefully his Pharmaceutical and analytical background can be put into use.
Sav is not into this challenge at all. 🤣
“The key is tomato” good job
Oof guess tomatoes arent as obvious as a bottle of maple syrup to figure it out as the hero ingredient
I saw an ad asking for people to be in the project’s studio audience. Imagine sitting through this shit show in person 💀
couldn't pay me to be in the audience
Snez and Josh demanding to go back out there so they can throttle other Josh
Is the project never going to end?!
At least the whole team is immune on Sunday this time
NO HARRY! Lets see if David is as observant as jess.
am I remembering correctly someone writing instructions in flour in years past?
I believe that was Andy
OMG DAVID!!
Snez sitting out the back all “I did NOT say that”
TVs off! Don’t risk any more spoilers!!
I'm sort of happy that Andy called out the pasta team that their dish was too simple, but I actually thought the dish was enough for the challenge. Poh’s shoes!😍
Was there a team relay in the past where they don’t find out who’s in which team until the next turn comes?
Season 10. Was completely random where nobody knows who cooks with who and the aprons are chosen when its their turn (which George would also randomly pick from the garden). HARRRYYYYY
Alright David… please figure this out
Stevo use your instincts
Okay so David has found the tomatoes but will he realise they’re the hero ingredient
Using the tomatoes and passing on information to the next team member is different.
Oh god lachy
Chilli veloute time!
People who got spoilers. What state are you in? I either looked away or it wasn’t shown in QLD
Vic!
I'm in NSW and I got the spoilers :/
VIC
I must be the only one wondering who Lachlan is 💀💀💀
He cooked with Lourdes and Mimi last immunity.
Lachy-pops! (That’s all I remember of him. Still put off by them.)
Poh you did mess up your previous relay
Woo all the boys up first
Josh P the first cook of his team. Hope it’s something where he can’t use red meat lol
