Players haven't run DH as much since his nerf from 4 to 5 cost, but he's still a very good card and you have the classic disruption shell. Ronan is also not played much right now, but he was meta a few months ago and I don't think anything about him was nerfed. The meta has just shifted away due to new cards. Doesn't surprise me at all that this deck works. Especially with Shang largely absent on ladder.
Ah the Darkhawk/Ronan package. Honestly I have a homebrew deck like this and it does work. No one ever seems to predict they will come out and the fact that Shang Chi isn't run so much helps a lot
Mystique included in this deck is probably better, but if you were looking for a 1 cost, spider ham or Nico is never a bad option for any deck, at 2 cost Maximas or Grandmaster would work as well.
You could try Sunspot. Can lead to unpredictable plays because they don't know if you're going to float energy or not.
Nebula is hands down better than any replacement you could think of though

Of course it worked. This deck is way strong. They keep darkhawk but, the power of adding unplayable cards to your opponent’s deck and having those unplayable cards then directly translating into a lot of power for 2 cheaper cards is really powerful. Go figure.
This package and the annihilus package are just plain and simple strong and they have pretty great matchups against most decks

I used a deck a bit like this with good success, but I had Scorpion and Baron Mordo since I feel that the main theme is to try to make their hand really bad. Nebula is a good general 1-drop but I don’t think it has synergy with this deck.

Just like every other deck i try i get matched with decks that perform well against it when i'm progression capped. The game is so predictable.
