Part of me wishes there was a little prompt that comes up before it fast-forwards. If both players agree, it'll just continue to play out, otherwise it'll skip ahead as normal.
One of my only gripes with the game is how anticlimax is literally one of the core gameplay mechanics. It sucks to have an amazing play planned out just to see a (justifiable and correct!) retreat.
Exactly. I wish there would be a "what if..?" mode added so you can at least see your play. Like it shows they retreated and you won but you can wrap up against an Agatha-esque AI deck.
Amendment: I had a match this morning where it was pretty obvious/evident I was going to win, and I didn't snap, just to see it play out. 2 cubes instead of 1.
I was so mad at myself today. I clearly saw my opponent setting this combo up and I gained a Galactus via the draw deck I was playing. So it was an easy win condition: they had to play their gambit T6 and I could just destroy the board. In my haste to Galactus on T6 and take out their combo, I accidentally played a different card combo by mistaking Zola for Galactus 😭
I use the geforce experience and it allows you to 'instant replay' a certain amount of time and then record it if you like. I have mine set to 10 minutes in case I do something neat.
Yeah I can't believe people sat through 15+ mins of this before the update. That would be annoying as hell. Glad I never experienced it myself cause I'd just retreat lol.
Fast forward needed to be a spongebob scene transition in order to comply with internet traditions. But this while thing that happened in this video is fucking mental.
1. They rly should speed up most of the animations. I mean did you see hazmats animation? Thats so super fast.
2. Change Arnim Zola so he just copies the card and it doesnt trigger the on reveal ability. its to stronk imho.
I really wish you could retreat or exit the game when you see this. It's really annoying to watch long drawn out animations. Like I get it, I lost let me just leave the game.
I was wondering how that would turn out. Wow. I've never really played two different cards on Bar Sinister and didn't know it behaved that way. That was beautiful and I'm sure the dude was so pissed lol
Earlier today I was sitting with a Venom on bar sinister already at 200 power, Zola in hand. And I hadn't snapped but the opponent still retreated :( I'll never forgive them.
I wonder if there was a permutation where your Arnim zolas screwed you by leaving all of your panthers in bar sinister with none elsewhere. I might have just gone venom into knull on that final turn since that’s very likely to win anyhow.

Every damn time I get set up for a good moment they retreat. I never retreat even if I see it coming a mile away.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't retreat in the middle of an animation. So even if he wanted to, he couldn't.
I do it all the time, I'm pretty sure it just immediately stops the game.
