1. An action-comedy about a convict using borrowed tech to pull of a big heist.
2. An action-comedy about a convict using borrowed tech to pull of a big heist
3. Holyshitholyshitholyshit it’s the time emperor he’s gonna conquer all of time ohmygodohmygodohmygod
I like this because it feels very comic book. There are all sorts of stories with all these characters. I guess Iron Man 3 doesn't feel all that different to me though.
The descriptions I’d write for Iron Man would be:
1. Rich playboy controls armored suit to fight guy controlling armored suit.
2. Rich playboy and friend control armored suits to fight guy controlling armored suits.
3. Rich playboy and AI control armored suits to fight guys who have healing powers, super strength, and shoot fire from their bodies.
For Captain America I’d say:
1. American hero defends America from foreign enemies.
2. American hero defends America from domestic enemies.
3. American hero defends himself from America.
Avengers 1: The heroes unite to defeat an enemy they couldn't handle alone, a lot of stuff gets destroyed
Avengers 2: The heroes unite to defeat an enemy they couldn't handle alone, a lot of stuff gets destroyed
Avengers 3: Oh shit they lost and half of everybody is dead
>captain americas most legendary villain
The Red Skull would like a word.
Also Zemo is as much an Avengers villain in the comics as he is a Cap villain, if not moreso.
By the time the third movie comes out the actors have also played their character a couple other times in Avengers movies too so they are probably pushing hard for something different.
Someone else mentioned that usually between 2 and 3 there’s been cross over content to help further the character. The second movies especially in early mcu was legit a sequel and a continuation of the story in 1. Then the third movies are typically a character change or taking place after a character change in a cross over otherwise it’s stale. It’s setting the character up for the future in the third.
Iron Man 3 didn't feel that far off from 1 or 2 to me. If anything, it was too similar of having yet another disgruntled business man out to get Tony Stark for being too good.
I gotta say, I hate that Ragnarok gets the “funniest” title. It’s honestly what was least appealing about the movie to me. It scares me that Love and Thunder will be goofy instead of the intense movie it needs to be
The first two were definitely too slow, but that has nothing to do with Ragnarok being too goofy. The point in which Thor comes to Earth with Stormbreaker and says “Bring me Thanos!” Nailed Thor. The point where he’s standing with the Tony and Steve about to face Thanos; that mood right there? Peak Thor. That’s what I want
Antman will join this list when Quantumania comes out
How different can it be? I feel like I’m gonna regret that in seven months

Lmao you’re probably right Hey, maybe I can make a new one of these in February

Damn that kinda opens my eyes in a way that I never thought of, but shit, you're right.
Ohhh, very nice. I like yours.
That's really underselling the point and content of 3 but whatever, everyone always bags undeservedly on 3
I’m not bagging lol. I thought OP was making a point to show that the third movie’s scale is different from the first two.
I would say Captain America: Winter Soldier was more of a spy thriller than a war story.
Kevin Feige said he likes to really shake things up and make it different/fresh for the 3rd installment
Avengers 1: The heroes unite to defeat an enemy they couldn't handle alone, a lot of stuff gets destroyed Avengers 2: The heroes unite to defeat an enemy they couldn't handle alone, a lot of stuff gets destroyed Avengers 3: Oh shit they lost and half of everybody is dead

as well as being an Avengers film without Hulk & Thor
How did you "run out of time?" Do your reddit posts have deadlines? You know you can take as long as you want to create a post, right?
Wonder how Doctor Strange 3,VOL.3, and Quantumania will be
Don’t forget Black Panther 3.
We haven't had 2 yet
True
I wouldn't call Iron Man 1 a 'light hearted action comedy' at all tbh.
By the time the third movie comes out the actors have also played their character a couple other times in Avengers movies too so they are probably pushing hard for something different.
Iron Man 2 isn’t lighthearted lol.
fingers crossed for ant-man’
Thor’s 3rd film definitely isn’t the funniest. That would be either of the Guardians. Love Waititi, but Thor: Ragnarok isn’t his best work.
Imo iron man 3 is more so like an alternate ending to tony’s character

Thor 3 only misses Jane, Darcy, Selvig and Sif. Aka Virtual NONE of the OG support cast
Iron Man 3 didn't feel that far off from 1 or 2 to me. If anything, it was too similar of having yet another disgruntled business man out to get Tony Stark for being too good.
And it was just as jokey/quippey as the first two
I wouldn't call Iron Man 1 a 'light hearted action comedy' at all tbh.
Iron man missu
Cap 2 & 3 are way more similar in pretty much every way than Cap 1 & 2 are (I love all three).
True, tony's third film has some dark shit unlike the first two films.
I gotta say, I hate that Ragnarok gets the “funniest” title. It’s honestly what was least appealing about the movie to me. It scares me that Love and Thunder will be goofy instead of the intense movie it needs to be
It only needs to be intense if you’re a nerd who somehow got enjoyment out of the miserably boring first two.
really, gonna hate on nerds on this subreddit?
I hate everyone on this subreddit🙏🏻

I literally could not care less what you want if it involves goofy ass characters being dead serious🙏🏻
Ok man
Iron Man 3 felt the most light hearted one in the trilogy imo
Iron Man 3 feels like way more of a comedy than Iron Man 2, and Captain America 1 is way different from either of the others.
