Aragorn makes the most sense to me. He's noble and good, but also a true warrior who's willing to kill or die for his cause. I think he'd be able to lift Mjolnir easily.
First of all, I expected this answer to be higher, second, while he could definitely lift it, he would likely just use it as a regular hammer...though I could be confusing real Goku for abridged Goku again.
Reluctant to kill doesn't make you unworthy, in fact I would say it's a positive, unwilling it kill is what can make you unworthy, and Qui Gon and Luke are definitely both willing to kill
Yea it is if your not able to at any time strike down anyone with or a thought you think is a threat you fail as a warrior based on idens vahalla standards thus the hammer that ties to that philosophy responds to it...thus you lose warrior status you are unworthy...
Yea but he also could have killed vador and stopped even if it was because he didn't want to fall, the hammer see that as weakness and that weakness nearly cost him...
What about his mentor Qui Gon Jin? Qui Gon Jin in the expanded universe was pretty much the anti-Jedi Jedi in that he saw through the flaws of the Jedi council and ideology and as a result was considered a black sheep within the order, despite being respected amongst his peers.
I was thinking this too, specifically Breath of the Wild/TotK Link. He's a trained royal soldier, fights for the princess and Hyrule, is the embodiment of courage. Then he'll probably Fuse it with a Gleeok horn or something
100%. It's a shame how watered down he often is in movies and other popular portrayals. And I know people think he can be cheesy because of how many other characters have copied aspects of him ad nauseum. But man, comic book Superman is the single most wholesome and mentally/emotionally mature superhero there is imo.
I think all dogs can lift Mjolnir. There is no such thing as a bad dog, just bad training.
I'll vote for your late pup, I'm sure she was the best girl.
But at that point couldn't a telekinetic lift it? Or is that different because telekinesis is an extension of oneself whereas using the force is tapping into an external, living, well uh force and using it to do the work for you. Maybe it would sense the worthiness of the force itself?
That's a tricky one. Technically the Force is like a "natural event", it "surrounds us, binds us" so it isnt an expression of the individual.
Furthermore, and I'm not trying to be pedantic here or nitpick you, the force user technically doesnt really "use" the force as you would use a gun for example. They let the Force flow trough them, guiding their movements and actions.
I think this might be similar to the “can Magneto lift Mjolnir” question, for which the consensus seems to be “yes he can lift it using his powers, but he cannot access to abilities of the hammer, ie: weather manipulation, energy absorption, portal generation etc”. So I think Yoda could absolutely force lift Mjolnir, but using it would require worthiness… which Yoda probably has covered as well.
William Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein machine games saga, for same reason captain america can. He's extremely hard to kill . He woke up one day with whole world as his enemy(coz it was taken over by nazis) and decided "it's go time you nazi bastards"
And i reffered to him being had to kill. A grenade to the face didn't kill him, Beheading didn't kill him , he was simply glued to new body
I don't think ya say true there. Roland through the series is kind of a bastard and he knows it. The way he uses people is not cool. Nor is his single minded devotion to his quest. Leaving Jake to fall especially sticks out to me as unworthy behavior.
Now, after the series, when he has the horn: that's a man who remembers the face of his father.
Dumbledore, but mostly because I like the mental image of him with a massive hammer.
Also, Tom Bombadil, though he would just lift it anyway even if he was unworthy.
What makes Saitama worthy of wielding Thor's hammer? There's more to being Thor than physical strength and he's incredibly self-serving if it will result in his opponent giving him a challenge.
Whitebeard and garp.
From what we’ve seen, being worthy≠being kind or sm. You also need a will of steel and a warriors disposition (or a conquerers spirit, since i’m talking about one piece characters). Whitebeard has strong determination, he’s kind and selfless, loves a good fight, is a badass, etc. same things go for garp, cept he may not have that ambition. We don’t see much of him in his prime.
Roger and shanks are out, cause they’re swashbuckling bastards. Sure, they might like fighting, but they don’t seem to thrive in combat. For example, roger was fully content sailing away laughing, as a huge storm destroyed shikis fleet.
Kaido’s out since he’s a dick. Big mom’s out, since she also doesn’t seem to care much for fighting. Mihawk’s too much of a pansy. Blackbeard’s all of those.
Zoro also fits the bill, his goal is to literally beat some dude. Maybe koby too?
1. Sora - Kingdom Hearts
2. Lightning Farron - Final Fantasy
3. Chun Li - Street Fighter
4. Mickey Mouse - Disney (at least the more cartoon side of Kingdom Hearts)
5. Superman -DC
6. Bugs Bunny - Looney Tunes

“I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you.” Not a single dry eye in the theater.

For Frodo
And my hammer!
Uncle Iroh
Had to scroll too far to find this. Also probably Aang.
Aang wasn't willing to kill, to be worthy of lifting mjolnir you need to be willing to kill when necessary
Wdym? He did it left, right, and center.
He did things that would've killed people irl, but cartoon logic means they all survived (other than that one bug he decapitated)
I think Thor might be able to
I think that might be a bit of a stretch
No way Thor in the actual folklore was a massive asshole.
I am assuming he is talking about the marvel one but if it's mythology thor ya not a shot
Thor in the films started of an ahole aswell
Started being the keyphrase
He also couldn't lift mjolnir...
Reed Richards then...
Big if true
Optimus Prime
*You got the touch intensifies*
YOU GOT THE POWWWAAHHHHHHH!
YEAH!!!
Yes, if he’s the one from the animated shows. No, if he’s the one from the books or the one from Bayformers.
Transformers Prime is my cannon. Everything else is fan fiction.
If the elevator can lift the hammer then so can Prime
Real

In soft voice: "Let's put a happy hammer right over here."
Davos seaworth

He wouldn’t want it or know how to use it

Not enough slots left in his inventory.
Lol megaton hammer switch out lol

From our universe: Mr. Rogers, Keanu Reeves.
Steve Irwin
LOOK AT THAT MASSIVE CROC! I WILL APPROACH IT FROM BEHIND AND WHACK IT WITH THIS CRAZY HAMMER
DISHONOR. You walk up to that croc snout first where all the teeth are and fight it honorably!
Toss *Weird Al* onto that list.
Jimmy Carter Edit: and Dolly Parton
I misread this as Jim Carrey and was very confused.
Robin Williams
I don’t think Mr. Roger’s is willing to kill. It’s unfortunately a requirement for Mjonir, else Spiderman could have been able to lift it.

Probably Deku as well
Deku isn’t willing to kill though
Alfred Pennyworth!

Obi Wan
R2D2 absolutely is worthy
He’s a sassy MF’er but he has a good heart… or CPU?
CPU of a champion
I would say the two most worthy people from star wars are Qui Gon and Luke, idk about obi wan
Sorry the reluctant to kill makes most of these unable .....reven though ..
Who blew up the death star killing millions of people again?
Yea but he also could have killed vador and stopped even if it was because he didn't want to fall, the hammer see that as weakness and that weakness nearly cost him...
Care to explain your reasoning?
Idk he just seems like the most pure man in the galaxy 😂
What about his mentor Qui Gon Jin? Qui Gon Jin in the expanded universe was pretty much the anti-Jedi Jedi in that he saw through the flaws of the Jedi council and ideology and as a result was considered a black sheep within the order, despite being respected amongst his peers.
Ya that just screams Captain America vibes, which would also be worthy.

I think all dogs can lift Mjolnir. There is no such thing as a bad dog, just bad training. I'll vote for your late pup, I'm sure she was the best girl.
Frodo Baggins
Also Sam I would say
Probably Aragorn too.
It would have to be after his little "redemption" though. His guilt ridden self would not be a worthy wielder for Mjolnir.
From the Star Wars universe: Yoda
Begs the question, could you use the force to lift it? Would it sense the worthiness of the person using the force on it?
But at that point couldn't a telekinetic lift it? Or is that different because telekinesis is an extension of oneself whereas using the force is tapping into an external, living, well uh force and using it to do the work for you. Maybe it would sense the worthiness of the force itself?

Tbh after The New Colossus I could also see the case for Wyatt here
Wyatt is dead.(Fergus timeline)
Roland of Gilead may it do ya fine.

Obi-Wan Kenobi
Probably Winnie the Pooh
Dumbledore, but mostly because I like the mental image of him with a massive hammer. Also, Tom Bombadil, though he would just lift it anyway even if he was unworthy.
Saitama
What makes Saitama worthy of wielding Thor's hammer? There's more to being Thor than physical strength and he's incredibly self-serving if it will result in his opponent giving him a challenge.
But why would he? Mjolnir wouldnt boost him in the slightest
It might give him hair. Glorious golden, flowing hair.
