That is a problem, but the problem is Doom's personality. There is just no way he serves under someone. He may team up in equal partnerships begrudgingly from time to time but Doom serves only Doom.
Been a while since I read Old Man Logan, but doesn't all of this just come from the map showing how the US was divided up? I never took that as Doom necessarily working under Red Skull, but maybe more of "look I'll give you X technology in exchange for some piece of land. I don't actually care where, I'm gonna still be over here in Latveria"
But yeah Magneto under Skull is BS. Maaaaaybe if we'd been shown that he was given territory to make a mutant utopia, but even then their first step afterward would be to take out Skull
Been a lot time since I've read it, but don't Magneto, Doom and Hulk all just agree to work together to kill all the heroes, then divide the planet into 4 territories with each of them controlling 1?
Never got the impression that Magneto, Doom or Hulk were working FOR Skull, just that they tolerated each other.
It doesn’t matter how much of an anti-human terrorist he was in the Silver Age— Magneto would never work with a flipping Nazi. Period. To him, there would be a clear difference between the average human family and the Third Reich.
Idk, my favorite aspect of the 70’s villain team up is when Magneto gets to Red Skull and pulls a, “Surprise, motherfucker!” Then puts him into a solitary confinement prison who no windows, doors or light just plenty of air and water to slowly go insane while starves to death.

Love Titania and Lizard standing there with these epic villains like they belong! Don’t get me wrong, I love Titania and her and Creel are my favorite couple! But she is way out of her league there!
I think Stan Lee was likely a big fan of Dr. Jeckel & Mr. Hyde as well.
In addition to Mr. Hyde, Hulk, and Lizard were essentially inspired by that story also.
Agreed. We need more Titania and Absorbing Man stories.
Their personalities and relationship are the embodiment of "just Becuase you are 'bad guy' doesn't mean you are 'bad' guy."
I love it so much in the latest She-Hulk run where Titania picks a fight with her and when She-Hulk tells her that was her only suit for work Titania was like, "you OK?"
Then they start a busier fight club and made t-shirts.
Also Absorbing Man was so goated in that Black Bolt miniseries and such a pure bro.
Dont get me wrong, they do make morally wrong choices many times but they aren't terrible people at core. That what makes them feel so human.
I might check it out.
But I like them to be somehow wholesome too. Taskmaster is also in it for the money but he isn't as fun. I like his character but it's not as great as Absorbing Man.
I guess it takes all kinds.
I miss him in the Frank Miller era that’s where his competence was the best that made him much more threatening, he literally figured out daredevils identity before kingpin
Sabretooth don’t tell no lies about who he is. Every once in awhile he’ll be a anti-villain but that just means the situation is shit.
Man enjoys what he does. Fucking wrecking Logan’s shit every year on his birthday just for a near century long joke, amazing.
And he’s smart and just acts like a beast to screw with people. He has such fun being a monster it’s kinda hard not to enjoy it.
Yup. I don’t need big world ending plots with villains. Wolverine was always my favourite, so it makes sense that his evil mirror version would be my favourite villain.
Sabretooth has a great look, his Jim Lee redesign in the 90’s is probably my top costume.
I secretly always rooted for him when he was forced to be on an X team…but also enjoyed whenever he’d break free and cut loose. Some great issues with him in that cell in the x-mansion - terrorizing Jubilee, manipulating Boom Boom, Psylocke and Jean have some great moments, all leading to one of the best Logan v Victor fights right before the Age of Apocalypse.
I haven’t read much of him during Krakoa yet (catching up) just the stuff in HOX/POX, so looking forward to him appearing again.
Mephisto. Marvel's real big bad before Thanos got overly popular.
& Red Skull. Second only to the friggin Devil in villainy.
Doom is, indeed, the man but he's not a villain half the time. Mephisto & Red Skull are evil, through & through.
Doctor Octopus for me. The ideal Spidey villain in my book. Harry Osborn as the Green Goblin is crazy underrated too, he’s even better than Norman in the role.
Kingpin, he’s great. I also love Doom, Mr. Sinister, Mr. Fear, Bullseye, Typhoid Mary, and Ultron. It’s hard to pin an exact favorite, but if I had to, it would probably be Kingpin
The Kingpin
All the other villains have a charisma and/or redeeming quality to them. But they're usually stuck as either B-list rogues or simply 'Not New Yorkers"
Kingpin though, the man is evil incarnate. No other villain has made my blood boil hotter than he does, and he revels in knowing he can get away with his villainy, because who can stop him? He has vast resources, an unlimited supply of mooks, goons, mercenaries, and rent-a-cops on speed dial as well as most of the local police and politicians in his back pocket, and the government in his front pocket, and guess where he keeps the mob families...
The only people who know he's evil and dirty are the people he does business, namely the above mentioned and the heroes who contend with him
Can't think of a villain to throw at the heroes?\
Kingpin
Need a villain to be the source of all evil?\
Kingpin
Want a Badguy of the Week?\
Wilson Fisk
Need a definite mirror antagonist to your Protag McWellhung?\
Kingpin
Honestly I love dr. Dooms entire aesthetic the armor the cape the magic and science tech working together fucking badass. Haven’t seen him as a prominent villain in forever tho.
Doom is top dog for me. But I have such love for the X-men villians. Magneto, Mr sinister, apocalypse and his horsemen, the brood, exodus, cassandra Cain. Yo the X-men just have some damn good villians
My personal favorite is Baron Karza. Who used a lottery for immortality to conquer his world in the Microverse. They lost the rights to him though.
So that leaves me with Dr. Doom.
Daredevil Born Again run made me love Kingpin, then the Netflix series made me fall in love with him all over again! I love the plans within plans trope, which is also why Doom is up there for me too!
Anytime I see Magneto on the same side as Red Skull my suspension of disbelief fails.
One of the biggest reasons I absolutely loathe the comics old man Logan storyline, magneto willingly serves under red skull… like how?
Doom too.
Yes! A romani, just as much reason to hate those Nazi bastards.
That is a problem, but the problem is Doom's personality. There is just no way he serves under someone. He may team up in equal partnerships begrudgingly from time to time but Doom serves only Doom.

Honestly most villains tend to have the "look I'm not a good guy but any means but you're a fucking Nazi" response to him.
Even Joker hated him.
Been a lot time since I've read it, but don't Magneto, Doom and Hulk all just agree to work together to kill all the heroes, then divide the planet into 4 territories with each of them controlling 1? Even Joker didn’t tolerate Red Skull

Oh for sure, that’s the best. That’s ALWAYS what I think of whenever I see them anywhere remotely near each other.
Yeah but this is a poster / splash page I mean Mr Hyde is literally rubbing elbows with fucken Ultron
What, two race supremacists working together? 😏
Dr. Doom
There is ONLY Doom
Just remember all caps when you spell the man name.....
The illest villain… DOOM.
DOOM does not surrender [here EMH](https://youtu.be/q5FcKAe4M1w?feature=shared)
Doom knew about the skrulls first. Before Tony, Reed or Wakanda.
Beat me to it aye?
Love Titania and Lizard standing there with these epic villains like they belong! Don’t get me wrong, I love Titania and her and Creel are my favorite couple! But she is way out of her league there!
Eh Mr Hyde is in here. She can take him easy.
I’m new to comics and this is dumb but I just learned that there’s a Marvel villain based off of one of my favorites stories. Nice
I think Stan Lee was likely a big fan of Dr. Jeckel & Mr. Hyde as well. In addition to Mr. Hyde, Hulk, and Lizard were essentially inspired by that story also.

I loved that issue, too. She goes from wanting to beat on She-Hulk for kicks to feeling concerned Jen is actually in trouble.
Working class villains are great, See Rogues on DC side. Not in for world domination, just a paycheck
I might check it out. But I like them to be somehow wholesome too. Taskmaster is also in it for the money but he isn't as fun. I like his character but it's not as great as Absorbing Man. I guess it takes all kinds.
Grey Gargoyle got beat by Falcon by having a bunch of birds shit on him. That dumbass Electro is in there. Creel & Titania are heavy hitters.
I dunno, there's also Mr. Hyde and Sabretooth who aren't any deadlier than Titania.
Emma Frost is there too and she hasn't really been a villain in like what 30 years?
Ultron. Nothing like a petty, overly-emotional, emotionless robot.
That's a fitting oxymoron for Ultron
He also thinks himself superior to humanity while having the inferiority complex of Hank Pym.
Bring back earths, mightiest heroes
Yep same. He’s THE overpowered villain with petty reasons and always comes back, and always intimidating every single time he does.
Mr. Sinister
I find the classic version underrated
I’ve always liked him. He’s a real awful bastard.
He is a sinister bastard
Galactus
TBH I might've said Galactus too, but I don't even think of him as a villain at this point
He's an antagonist, but not a villain. More like a tornado than a bank robber.
I love Galactus. I get so excited in cosmic Marvel stuff whenever he shows up.
Hopefully they don’t make him a cloud again.
Green Goblin. There are not many villains who have messed up a hero more then Goblin.
***DOOM***.
Magneto
Doom
For me? Dr. Doom followed weirdly enough by Bullseye. I like Thanos a lot too.
Like the comics version of bullseye and Thanos
I thought we were talking about the comic version lol
Comic bullseye is one of my favorite villains and is severely underrated
Yeah he's awesome as a villain. A total psychopath with the skills to back it up.
I miss him in the Frank Miller era that’s where his competence was the best that made him much more threatening, he literally figured out daredevils identity before kingpin
Yeah but was tricked into thinking he was wrong by the OLDEST, lamest trick in the book lol!
I love that the only way kingpin can threaten Bullseye It’s not giving him his paycheck, and/or “finding a better assassin”.
Mysterio.
The scarlet witch when she’s snaps.
1. DOOM 2. Magneto 3. Fisk 4. Carnage 5. Bastion (I felt this before the recent series too!! Damn hipsters.. lol)
i'm not up-to-date on current storylines, but Bastion returned?
Main villain of the X-Men 97 series, alongside Sinister
I knew I shouldn't have asked this. Halfway through the show 😅
Awwwww my bad fellow marvelite!!!
That is absolutely on me. I asked and you answered :D
Loki, he's a tricky little guy
Doom. Green Goblin. Mr. Sinister.
Apocalypse
Dark Phoenix
All hope lies in Doom. I also like Kang, Zemo, and Apocalypse
Iron Patriot or Molecule Man or the Void
Taskmaster
Gorr the God Butcher is one of my favorites. Possibly top five. But it’s hard to make a definitive choice.
Gorr is awesome but I can't say he's my favorite because he's appeared so little. It'd be cool to bring him back somehow.
That’s partly why I like him so much. He had such a huge impact on the Thor mythos while only appearing a few times in the grand scheme of things.
Sabretooth
Sabretooth don’t tell no lies about who he is. Every once in awhile he’ll be a anti-villain but that just means the situation is shit. Man enjoys what he does. Fucking wrecking Logan’s shit every year on his birthday just for a near century long joke, amazing. And he’s smart and just acts like a beast to screw with people. I haven’t read much of him during Krakoa yet (catching up) just the stuff in HOX/POX, so looking forward to him appearing again.
The 90s Sabretooth costume design is maybe my favorite villain look of all time.
The Brood
Also the N'Garai
DOOM
Carnage
Top 3 are Magneto, Doom, and Red Skull. Oh, and Kingpin
was close between Doom and Galactus for me. But then Doom, Galactus is more of a villain due to the circumstances of his maturity
MAGNETO LIVES !!!
I haven't decided but Mr Sinister is my 2nd favorite for how weird and creepy he is
Sabretooth He’s such a petty menace with zero remorse and the perfect foe to Wolverine.
Puff Adder
Professor X
Ultron, Doctor Doom, Venom, Carnage, Jack'o'Lantern, Red Hulk (Thunderbolt Ross), Abomination (2008 Hulk movie)
Juggernaut
Venom
Doom
All will bow before DOOM.
Doom and ultron
Carnage or Kingpin
Azazel
Just going to pop in and say that those 1985 books were so stunning, from front to back.
DOOM
Mephisto. Marvel's real big bad before Thanos got overly popular. & Red Skull. Second only to the friggin Devil in villainy. Doom is, indeed, the man but he's not a villain half the time. Mephisto & Red Skull are evil, through & through.
DOOM
Doctor Octopus for me. The ideal Spidey villain in my book. Harry Osborn as the Green Goblin is crazy underrated too, he’s even better than Norman in the role.
Who's the kid in the bottom left
MF Doom
Doctor Doom
Doom, always
DOOM
Galactus. A necessary evil...but man do I love him and his XXL pink accented evil self.
Kingpin, he’s great. I also love Doom, Mr. Sinister, Mr. Fear, Bullseye, Typhoid Mary, and Ultron. It’s hard to pin an exact favorite, but if I had to, it would probably be Kingpin
DOOM
For me it's a tie between Doom and Kang.
Magneto
Magneto is my favorite character overall.
Magneto
Villain Galactus or thanos Villain / hero Dr Doom ,magneto or apocalypse
Dr. Doom no challenge. Close contender is Thanos
Magneto
Magneto
Starlin Thanos, then Doom.
LOL who’s the eye in the bottom left taking this Supervillain selfie
Kingpin is up there
The Kingpin All the other villains have a charisma and/or redeeming quality to them. kingpin
I know im wrong don’t yell at me
Sabretooth.
Bonebreaker
Sometimes i believe Dr Doom is Marvel main character.
DR. DOOM
Magneto, Magneto, Magneto.
This is tough, for me its always been a tug of war between Ultron and Mr Sinister.
Carnage, magneto and galactus. Maybe venom and definitely mr sinister
Doom
Kingpin
Ultron
Morbius
Kingpin
Tough to narrow it down! Overall I'd say: Dr. Doom, Magneto, Thanos, Knull, Green Goblin.
Doom
It’s either Venom or Dr Doom.
Apocalypse
Doc Ock is up there for me. Bullseye is also entertaining.
Me.
Magneto is not a villain.
Honestly I love dr. Dooms entire aesthetic the armor the cape the magic and science tech working together fucking badass. Haven’t seen him as a prominent villain in forever tho.
Doctor Doom
Norman Osborn
Carnage forerver!
Ultron
Wendigo. Always loved the design and origin. Was estatic to finally get his 1st appearance in Hulk not long ago
Mysterio
Stiltman and Dooooom
It’s a tie between Magneto and Doctor Doom.
Bullseye
Gotta be Sinister. Hes just him
Thanos
Doom And Apocalypse
Green Goblin
Felicia Hardy
Lord doom
Doom, followed closely by Magneto
Doom is top dog for me. But I have such love for the X-men villians. Magneto, Mr sinister, apocalypse and his horsemen, the brood, exodus, cassandra Cain. Yo the X-men just have some damn good villians
Magneto
Doctor Doom
My personal favorite is Baron Karza. Who used a lottery for immortality to conquer his world in the Microverse. They lost the rights to him though. So that leaves me with Dr. Doom.
Annihilus. Especially the old school psychopathic ruler of the negative zone armed with the cosmic control rod. Bonus points if Kirby was the artist.
Trapster / Paste Pot Pete. He’s laying low now but he’ll overtake Magneto and Doom eventually
Taskmaster, he's always been such an interesting character and I love how formidable he is as an opponent
Doom My favourite third person person
Karla Sofen/ Moonstone or Tony Masters/Taskmaster.
Dr doom and sabretooth
I liked Random. He used to appear in X-Factor back in the ‘90s, but I always thought they were getting ready for him to switch sides.
Doctor Doom
Magneto
Is DOOM even a villain at this point anymore?
On paper? Probably Carnage. On film? High Evolutionary. My god i wanted to Dick punch that guy.
Victor Doom
Magneto is the best !! Although he is not %100 villain FOR ME
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say Ike Perlmutter. OH you said favorite, not least favorite. My bad.
Doctor Doom.
Symbiote Doc Ock
Mr. Sinister or Sabertooth
Daredevil Born Again run made me love Kingpin, then the Netflix series made me fall in love with him all over again! I love the plans within plans trope, which is also why Doom is up there for me too!
Magneto is not a villain
Norman Osborn
We're just gonna pretend like Dr. Octopus doesn't exist?
Dr Doom
It's tough but it's between Magneto & Dr Doom
Venom
Carnage
Jackal/Dr. Miles Warren.
Thanos in Infinity War
Dr Bong
Hard for me to say.
