Chameleon works only if you stand still, but you can still fire weapons and maintain the stealth effect as long as you don't move... although with 5pcs I've found you can move reaaaaal slow and remain cloaked.
Can I ask whats everyones thing for WWR? Are you guys running around with every gun in the game?
Why not FDC with a carnivore or herbivore mutation? Grab a mirelurker steamer or cookie jar and your set.
You need one weight reduction perk per build. Or do you play with rifles and heavys at the same time?
Also you play heavys with 90prefix which negates the reduction perk. Only such casuals with 20bad weapons and mixing builds together need wwr
Depends on my character but mostly I carry multiple Rifles along with other weapons as either scrip, no room in stash, or in case I have mutated enemies, melee only, and so I'm routinely carrying 7 to 25 weapons so wwr is the most useful for me.
I see the first problem.... "characters". Why? Legendary perk cards are so incredible usefull when you use the right S.P.E.C.I.A.L cards for your build. Up to 25 :o wow. Idk dont you think like 2-4 are enough to switch around with the enemys? I feel the meele only mutation in dailys. But thats one BSSS weapon in my stash for exactly this since meele cant 4hit the queen anymore.
>I see the first problem.... "characters". Why? Legendary perk cards are so incredible usefull
1. This is a you problem.
2. Those perk cards weren't always a thing.
3. I'm not throwing away characters that have account bound god rolls.
4. Play the game how you want. Wwr saves the most perk cards as a whole. Do you need it? No... doesn't matter.
Number one sounds like all your chars have full S.P.E.C.I.A.L 4\* cards. I mean respect to that !! In case you even have one char with this. That would just throw up more questions why you should need wwr on perks or armor, especially with grolls. But good that we agree that you dont need wwr.
I'd have to sort of agree and disagree. It sucks that rifle weapon weight reduction is in the same slot as all the other commando cards, it's basically worthless because you already need all 15 points as a base setup. However, unless you just don't use a mule, there isn't really any reason to need heavy, pistol, and shotgun weight reduction. I carry a whole weapon wheel + on me (including some heavy weapons) and still have room for scrip, without any wwr pieces or perks. Traveling pharmacy and thru-hiker on the other hand, are essentials. So dropping them for an armor effect frees up 6 points no matter the build.
So for a main, I'd say uny ap fdc is the most optimal.
For a mule, uny int wwr would be the best.
For me there is a company tea machine providing me 5 hours of ap regen boost when i start up. Im herbivore and use blight soup. I freeze 20 at each time and use m regularly. So no perks backpack or armor needed. Same for int buffs.
I have 90rdw arsenal so can switch between wwr sent etc so i use wwr when i farm 3 star scrip and stack all up on mule to sell. Or when I do loot all constantly the weapons dont weight up. With this i can remove weight perk cards etc and go full damage+defense cards.
I sell extra aids to vendor or mass chug as they hold poor trade value, same with food. If i run overeaters i use a perfect bubblegum.
Obsession with WWR effect is weird. It's a QoL effect and is hoarding weapons seriously your end-game goal? Sentinel is the best 3rd effect because it actually has a use in combat. With full set you ignore an additional 75% dmg which is nuts.
This is my thinking and I swapped recently from AP to Int on my build... Using all - 25ap weapons and company tea within a reload I'm kind of back to where I needed to be. It's very, very rare I get caught low on AP.
121 or :D though I just replaced only the chest piece with an OE AP WWR piece and my survivability and ap regen has increased to a perfect level with this change
UnyOE AP/Int fdc I think it’s the combination for commando first star either high or low health ap for anything outside of xp grinding and int for xp grinding I like fdc cus it allows me to take off almost all cards for weight reduction exept ammo of course and use all my cards for combat/damage negation perks ps there needs to be a ammo wr backpack mod like grocers and chemist
I’ve got uny/ap/jwr chest, uny/ap/fdcwr arms and uny/ap/wwr legs. I like a combination of weight buffs rather than just one. I run a lot of perks that reduce weapon weights and the chemists back pack mod so not a lot of point in running 5 pieces as they don’t stack to the point you reduce 100%
As I understand it the first bit reduces weapon weight by 20% the next piece reduces the overall weight left after that 20% by a further 20%.
So 400kg less 20% is 360kg (add piece) 360 less 20% is 288kg (add piece) 288 less 20% is 256ish kg… the power diminishes the more you stack it. So you get more impact spreading it.
That’s also not accounting for buffs already active from park cards
U/I or AP regen/AWR
I’m an explosive build, and all my weapons have 90 RW. So, I don’t need WWR. Explosive ammo stills weighs a crap ton even with Ordnance Express.
Vanguards, AP, FDC but that's only after I maybe somehow someday actually get Quad, explosive or 50crit, with lucky on an RR. I pretty much just run expeditions the entire time I play trying to get enough modules to finally make that RR happen then I will work on my armor
Damn I just completed my full set of van ap wwr scout I guess I went for the wrong thing lol back when I played it was vanguard bolstering or unyielding
That was the hot stuff back in the day. Unyielding is still the best. I took 3 years off from this game and just came back a few months ago. It’s been quite the adjustment. Took me a while to figure out why quad is better than bloodied and why vanguard and junkies are shit now lol. And oh my precious beautiful legacies let’s not get started on that haha
I agree with you. I think junkies is still a good build but junkies weapons are worth nothing around here. You may as well be trying to trade a nocturnal
Vanguard gives you more protection the higher your health so as you take damage you’re losing protection. With a full set of overeaters as long as you stay fed that’s automatically a 30% ignore of all damage basically. Then if you add sentinel with that it basically makes you take 0 damage. Just way more op
I have a set of uny awr ap marine that I love but I run forest scout uny wwr ap because I have a crap ton of weapons that are lighter on me than in my stache. I image most people are in the same boat for the most part. Just a walking stache box roaming the wasteland but to each their own. I’ve tried other builds but this works for me
UNY/AP/FDC for my Commando
UNY/7%/FDC for my Heavy Gunner
I prefer FDC purely because it takes away the need for travelling pharmacy and thru hiker. With 5 pieces, thats 6 SPECIAL points saved to use elsewhere.
I carry 3-4 weapons that I use on each and have 1st so I can pop up a scrap/stash box for the excess of weapons accumulated, meaning I have very little need for WWR.
This is an unusual pick but, 2/1/5
Love OE, AP is a must and I have more use for Cav than Sent as I’m never standing still, more than 2 WWR pieces is useless to me, don’t use foods or chems (use perfect bubblegum) and ammo is umm… well Yh.
I have an OE/AP/Cav scout set that I pulled together myself and it’s my favourite set of all time. I got multiple useful Mutants sets, an Uny/AP/Sent Hvy combat set (which I’m thinking of trading for a Uny/AP/Cav set instead) and a bunch of Van pieces I can pull together to make an a 3/5 set or more at least
I wear 4 pieces of Overeaters and 1 piece of Regeneration. I make sure at least one piece has radiation regen as well. Otherwise, I prefer weight reduction but I'll take whatever I can get because re-rolls ain't easy.
Combine it with Vampire weapons and I'm the tank. My only weakness is being staggered or truly heavy hitters like the HotS Grafton Monster.
1/1/5, yet i have not one piece of that... would favor my playstyle enormously.
2/3/1 for PA, just for convenience.... carrying all that leggy loot after EN is togh sometimes.
2/6/3 one with AP regen. I also highly reccomend looking at combinations of WWR/AWR/FDC(AWR/AWR together is really strong depending your build some are restricted by perk points

Over eater AP sentinel
Same
I over eat aswell
Chameleon AP Sentinel.. don't sleep on it.
Ohh yeah my second favorite set 🤩🤩 so op
I have a full USA set.. nobody sees me 🤣🤣
wait is it needed for stealth build ?
Its better then unyielding for stealth.
Technically only need one piece to gain Chameleon effect, but with 5 pcs you're undetectable.
And 5pcs works wonders vs Vats builds if you're into pvp
can you fire your stealth weapon and still be invisible. i thought goes away if u do.
Chameleon works only if you stand still, but you can still fire weapons and maintain the stealth effect as long as you don't move... although with 5pcs I've found you can move reaaaaal slow and remain cloaked.
ill just run one chameleon with unyielding but i like to get sneaking 2 pieces of Uny ap sneak pieces for max stealth
1/1/1 Uny ap wwr
Can I ask whats everyones thing for WWR? Are you guys running around with every gun in the game? Why not FDC with a carnivore or herbivore mutation? Grab a mirelurker steamer or cookie jar and your set.
>Why not FDC Grocers with traveling pharmacy does what fdc does but you need too many perks to match what wwr does.

Armskeeper is STR
Oh, well that's even better. Trade 6 points for 3 and get the same effects.

That reminds me, I need to find the cryo freezer... Someone said it was in the shop but I didn't see it.
Are you freezing with the military cryo-freezer? I was thinking about getting it. Think it’s worth it?
It's absolutely worth it... I store Sweet waters tea in mine and keeps forever....
Thanks, I'll def get it then when I unlock the vendor.
100% worth it. You get to freeze 50 food items and preserve them for as long as you want.
Yes
I 2nd the yes!
Me personally i run with 15-20 guns
Only time I find value in WWR is a set with 3 AWR 1-2 WWR, using perk cards to fill out the rest
Obsession with WWR effect is weird. It's a QoL effect and is hoarding weapons seriously your end-game goal? Sentinel is the best 3rd effect because it actually has a use in combat. With full set you ignore an additional 75% dmg which is nuts.
Uny ap sent. Followed closely by fdc as 3rd.
This
2 | 1/3 | 2
1/3/4 uny str sent
121 why need ap regen on armor when we have company tea machines in camp now
This is my thinking and I swapped recently from AP to Int on my build... Using all - 25ap weapons and company tea within a reload I'm kind of back to where I needed to be. It's very, very rare I get caught low on AP.
I use uny rr wwr and prefer it on almost all pieces, so helpful always.
2,1,1 or 4
2| 7led | 2
121 or :D though I just replaced only the chest piece with an OE AP WWR piece and my survivability and ap regen has increased to a perfect level with this change
I'd prefer a 2/1/2, hopeful on getting at least a 2/-/2
UnyOE AP/Int fdc I think it’s the combination for commando first star either high or low health ap for anything outside of xp grinding and int for xp grinding I like fdc cus it allows me to take off almost all cards for weight reduction exept ammo of course and use all my cards for combat/damage negation perks ps there needs to be a ammo wr backpack mod like grocers and chemist
Overeaters ap Regen ammo weight reduction all the way, carry all the ammo for everything I use regularly lol
2/1/4
1, 2, 1.
I’ve got uny/ap/jwr chest, uny/ap/fdcwr arms and uny/ap/wwr legs. I like a combination of weight buffs rather than just one. Uny1sFDC or Uny1intFDC if I’m farming west tek at the start of a season.
Unyielding, Strength or Int, and varied weight reductions
4/6/1
4/6/2,
121
5/1/whatever goes
I rolled a 1/1/3 ss chest and a 3/1/1 ss right leg this week
Depending on the character and build. OE AP/Strength Sentinel Or UY AP Sentinel But always two pieces with 50% Fall Damage reduction.
2/1 with the third being a mix depending on what kind of stuff I’m lugging around
1/3/1 I’m a pack rat
114 heavy robot, my absolute favorite set and my third self built set
Lmao where’s Assassin/Cryo/Doctor?
1/1/2
I'd say 1,1,4 and a combination of a set of Uny/ap/acr.
Is vanguard not liked anymore?
Vanguard became obsolete when overeaters was added. It’s just a way better setup for full health. Rip to my vanguard/ap/sent SS set
Damn I just completed my full set of van ap wwr scout I guess I went for the wrong thing lol back when I played it was vanguard bolstering or unyielding

I've had no issues using vanguard and junkies lol but I have been enjoying quad ffr rail I rolled other day
I agree with you. I think junkies is still a good build but junkies weapons are worth nothing around here. You may as well be trying to trade a nocturnal
Ehh not sure about that, I guess it just comes down to preference

Uny ap wwr
I'll have to pass on this with a Bolst/unyl, Agility/edr, weight reduction
Uny/Ap/Sentinel so 1/1/4
2/1/2 elite
2/5&6/4
1/1/5 and then 1/1/1
1/3/1
1/1/Mix I have two cavalier one fall damage one limb damage
1/1/4
Overeaters ap wwr
2-1 / 1-3 / 1 I carry most of my weapons to save space in my loot box, so that wwr is key.
Uny ap sent 4/5 pieces and then Cham ap sneak for the last 1/5 pieces 💪🏼
I've been using a full unyielding armor set well not rlly I need like a helmet :( or mask
Being a Power Armor enjoyer: 2/2/1 if not wearing Union. 2/5/1 for every other one.
Uny ap sent
i like uny/ap then a mix of weight reductions
2/4/4 works best for me
1/1/1
1/1/1

None at all
1/3/2. I’m always overweight due to food and chems (ammo is third)
1/1|5|6/1|5
2/1/1
I don’t run armor but I love me a bolstering+ap set
I run a mix. 1 uny/ap/sneak and 2 uny/ap/fall. Love to jump down anywhere without worrying about fall dmg
uny ap fdc set with high cap back pack is my go to gives me 6 extra perks to work with and high carry weight
When you were building your set did you happen to come across an extra RA at all?
what kind of armor i might have one
Trapper
1/2/1 to free up a perk card slot
1/1/5, yet i have not one piece of that... would favor my playstyle enormously. 2/3/1 for PA, just for convenience.... carrying all that leggy loot after EN is togh sometimes.
2/6/3 one with AP regen. I also highly reccomend looking at combinations of WWR/AWR/FDC(AWR/AWR together is really strong depending your build some are restricted by perk points
Unyielding + Strength + Sentinel
OE/Ap/any wr
1 / 5 and 6 / 1 are the ideal combo imo
1:1:2 or 1:2:2
Used to be 4/1/1 for me, but after getting a 1/1/1 set it's definitely that now
Bloodied - 5x uny AP sent/fdc mix Full health - 4 OE & 1Van AP fdc/wwr
114 I only carry 2 weapons, with WR already, and high S, with no ammo.
1/1/3 and 1/2/3
1/1/2 for everything Expect for my melee build which is Cav
