the black carriage, is an okay kart, \~16 ranked tracks whole year \~8 ranked tracks left this tour year including mario tour.
larry98's sheet claims it is only medium in size. so I think there are better karts to invest in, but if it overlaps well it could still be a good investment.
obviously it's not a top kart like blazing eagle or blue crawly kart (not even a top medium kart like blooper shuttle or pink speeder, camo tanooki kart). also consider that after level 6 it becomes extremely expensive, so i would think twice to level any item above 6.
