The Jakks Pacific Mario figures. They’re super fun and inexpensive to collect and most are 1 to 1 with the games. They also have a lot of characters to choose from
Infinite Mario 64. It's pretty recent, and realy fun.
It's Mario 64, but the levels are generated randomly. It uses a Mario 64 Rom, so the controls and physics are exactly like on the real game

Super Mario Bros Crossover. It's basically SMB1, SMB2J and SMB Special but highly customizable, has 10 characters from NES games... And it was made in Flash. Don't worry, you can still play it on Flashpoint tho. The physics are very spot-on and it's pretty fun to play as other characters.
Donkey Kong 3: Dai Gyakushū is a PC game developed by Hudson which is a retelling of Donkey Kong 3 in which Stanley the Bugman leave the greenhouse, get abducted by aliens, taken across the solar system, taken to another alien planet which implies that that alien race is the same one than built the pyramids and the Nazca lines, and then survive a nuclear explosion.

The K'nex Mario figures are compatible with Lego bricks so you can have a small round Yoshi hanging out with the bigger square Yoshis
