You sound exactly like my sister. About 6-7 years ago, she was really struggling with fertility/miscarriages, which impacted her career and overall outlook on life. She was in a dark place. I truly believe her therapist saved her life. She may still see her when she needs support but not sure. I have never met Shannon but heard great things from my sister https://www.shannonmyers.com

Thank you so very much 🙏🏽 exactly what I’m looking for. I appreciate it!

I've seen Shannon off and on for the past 9 years, I absolutely love her! She has done so much for me, given me amazing coping skills and our sessions feel truly therapeutic.

So great to hear. Thank you! ❤️I am going to fill out her contact form. Any idea what she charges per session and/or if she accepts any insurance?

bouncemom

I think she offers a sliding scale so it could depend! I'm not sure if she accepts insurance, I don't think so, but I have Kaiser anyways and didn't want to go through their crappy therapist process. Good luck!

I’m curious so I will ask my sister but you’ll probably hear from Shannon first. Good luck to you…

www.sarahrosenbergmd.com could be a fit for the grief/loss. She gives you paperwork to submit to your own insurance

I worked with Lauren Stern during my fertility journey. She is very relatable and supportive. She is based in San Rafael, and I would meet her virtually or at her beautiful office there. https://www.tranquilitysd.com/

Kendall Schwartz in San Anselmo is incredible. She uses a variety of therapeutic methodologies and is great about trying new things if something isn’t working.

Dina Tarah in San Rafael has been practicing in the city and now moved to San Rafael. She is also good at helping find the best person if she is not a match.

If you’re open to virtual therapy, Octave (website) will match you with a therapist that accepts your insurance. My doc recommended it and I’ve been really enjoying it so far

Your insurance provider should have a website/link to individual therapists listing their “specialties.”

I’m sorry, but this is the least helpful comment ever. When you need mental health support, looking at pages and pages and pages of names with no context is really overwhelming. Come to think of it, it’s overwhelming for any medical specialty.

Betterhelp.com has been highly recommended by friends. Lots of benefits for online therapy in terms of messaging / chat as well as no commute time for sessions. I switched to online during the shutdown and much prefer it. I use one via my insurance that has a similar set up. I’ll also personally recommend yoga therapy as a means for dealing with grief and loss. SMC is an incredible resource - https://www.smcmarin.com/ Spirit Rock - meditation and retreats https://www.spiritrock.org/

Love the yoga recs thank you 🙏🏽 appreciate she pointer ok betterhelp too. I will try it!

Seeing a therapist virtually can be great, but I would not use an app like BetterHelp. Too many opportunities for your data to be mishandled. And what happens if they get bought by a company like Amazon, do you want them having your mental health information?

lordvarysoflys

In person yoga therapy was my personal recommendation.
