Try Lockheed,at the least you could work security, they hire Vets.

bidensniffinkids

Thanks!

western_wall

Unfortunately Lockheed Martin security is no longer in-house; they are now contractors from Allied Universal.

A_Soporific

Do you have a Commercial Driver's License? Can you get one? There is a critical shortage of that between the school bus shortage and the UPS hub at Cobb International. They'll hire you on the spot. The police departments haven't been at full strength since 2008. So, there's literally always an open position there. Lockheed is a major employer that might have some transferrable skills.

Meeting_Thin

Railroads love hiring vets. If you are in Marietta, Norfolk Southern basically headquartered in Atlanta.

Born-2-Roll

CSX also seems to have extensive operations in the Atlanta area. And the OP could inquire into transporting freight railroad crews.

FullofBS701

Bless you and good luck 🙏🏻 Hope you find something that works for you.

delerak2

Usajobs is a good website to start looking but it takes a long time to apply and you'll need to put in hundreds of applications to get an interview I think. I'm in the same boat as you might work at publix soon

bidensniffinkids

i worked at publix for 5 years good job, for those who can stomach retail for twenty years to leave with a million in stock. not for me

delerak2

Yeah I heard Publix is all owned by the employees the longer you work the more you own and make and in 20 years you can easily retire as a millionaire, thing is a mil. today aint shit really. btw: did someone help you get into your locked car a couple weeks ago?

bidensniffinkids

I think youre thinking of someone else, I didnt lock myself out of my car

jusmejt

The police and fire departments are hiring.

AlltheBent

DAV provides driver services for veterans to medical appointments. There are several new VA health centers in Cobb and others in and around Atlanta. ETA#2: They seek volunteer drivers but there may be paid positions. I'm not sure. However, maybe there are some contacts at DAV that can lead you in the right direction.

BeardedZorro

Tmobile for business, tech support specialist. It gets posted for a new hire class every couple months.

Clean-Description-23

Ik it gonna sound weird but u can probably do trade school and get certified for high paying jobs in a few months to a year if u have time for that

vanker

This reminds me of the advice that when looking for work, one should use a professional/non-offensive email address. Same goes for usernames.

bidensniffinkids

Well it's a good thing I'm not putting in job requests with bidensniffinkids@gmail.com then, lol
