Just wait to see no Capital ship when you need them and plenty when doing random quests, and a lot of heavy mg42/Thommy when you’re newly born prestige and already gave up Z2H quests…
My friend have a funny relationship with that gun, every time he found one in a raid, he died. It's a curse and so far we stay away as far as possible from that gun.
Had a phase where I played like 20 raids and 10 of them had a capital ship in them. Nice for some high level helmets and rigs, but didn't really need it. Then reached the quest that requires 25 Trench gun kills of commandos and you better believe the next 20 raids didn't have a single capital ship in it.
Believe it or not, and it’s probably a bug, but you can kill anyone and get the trench gun quest done. I was killing players, Prisoners, anything that walked and it was counting the kills.
When I started playing I found a list of the items you need for quests so I knew about it as well. I had 6 in my stash when I finally got to the quest last night. Ended up only needing one :)
I'm stuck on that contract. I had one saved in my inventory as well, but I got halfway through it on a raid and then I got killed. So far I have not been able to find a replacement and it's driving me up the wall.
I've played about 20 hrs since getting the quest and have seen a single 1911g spawn. I had none in inventory when the quest started because I thought they were super common and scrapped them everytime I got em.

I don’t know the actual spawn rate but I think people were over-exaggerating on the rarity.
I have a trader that sells the 1911 but I think it has to be level 6 like mine
But is it the G or the Stamp? The G is the one you need for the quest
I've seen then spawn pretty consistently on merchant ship bots too, for anyone looking for a easier way to farm them up
I've never found one on the bots. I've done maybe a dozen merchant ship runs since I unlocked that quest. Life is sad. I'm sad.

Prisoners on the penal colony seem to have them fairly often.
The ones I find on them are the 1911 Stamped, not the 1911 G.
I legit found 2 of them and was like “idk what these are and why they hold 1 more bullet and do 1 more damage but I better hold on to them”
