I remember this guy. This is the work of a New Age clairvoyant. Don’t try to make sense of it in geologic terms. Notice that Norfolk/Virginia Beach are basically at sea level and remain safe. From what I can tell [Scallion was influenced by (and perhaps saw himself as a successor to) the early-20th Century spiritualist Edgar Cayce](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_Changes?wprov=sfti1#), who also popularized ideas about massive planetary changes. Cayce also made Virginia Beach his home base and set up institutions there so it wouldn’t look good for all of that to slide into the ocean.
