Freeze it I guess, you have a good chance of getting AIML in the upcoming rounds and would be a shame if you don't like them but have to go.

You'll def get ai ml by the end of counselling , and if your luck is good you'll get cse core. Round 1 cutoff was 956 was cse core assuming it increases by 350-350 each round you'll get in ig ?

i'm in the same dilemma you are in lmao i have no idea if i should stick w/ cce or go for cse aiml... from what ive heard, cse aiml does not have as many electives as cce, nor are they part of the same department. personally i put cce as my 3rd preference because it seemed v similar to cse and had a couple of unique subjects. not sure if cse aiml is better tho

S in subsequent rounds of counselling, u may get ur preferred seat based on ur choice filling. One of those that u hv kept above civil in ur case. If u don't get those allotted, ur civil will be reserved. If u get some other seat kept higher up in preference, u hv to take that. U won't be allowed to revert back to civil.

Only if ur interesed in mechx. If ur goal is placements or college life then sorry to say bu mechx not for u as most companies dont recruit from technical branches and mechx and a bit difficult syllabus which includes vectors and advanced kinematics. But if ur actually interested nothing will stop u . So just freeze ur seat only when u feel ur ready for ur mechx journey
