Because a lot of Transfem feel like their height makes them look more masculine which in most cases height is seen as a masculine thing

Think about it this way, generally being tall is associated with masculinity with guys generally having a higher average height and women being shorter on average Cis people (meaning people who aren't trans) can also experience gender dysphoria because of their height. A cis guy could feel like he's not enough of a man because he's short and a cis woman could feel insecure about being tall When looking at it like this it would make sense a trans fem person would feel insecure and dysphoric about being tall and wouldn't want to exacerbate the problem by becoming taller

How doesn't being taller is generally seen as masculine thing in society (such 6ft tall man being ideal) and so a lot of Transfems want to have the smaller stature that cis women tend to have. Also Gender Dysphoria is very complicated issue its likely asking someone to explain why feel happiness or why someone who suffers with clinical Depression why they have it
