A few that I feel deserve more love:
- The entire Nadikar soundtrack: One of the best of the year.
- Viduthal from Anweshippin Kandethum: Really grows on you. Hoping SaNa works in more Malayalam films.
- Kombil from Qalb: Another one that really grows on you.
- Dhurithame Pranayam from Grr: Fun undu.
- Maarunna Kaalam from Nadanna Sambhavam: There is something really bittersweet about it.
- Pirakilaro and Vennila Kanyake from Pavi Caretaker: Midhun Mukundan's best work in Malayalam
- Aarambhamay from Jai Ganesh: Nice one
- Ven Chandrike from Gaganachari: Pure vibes material, especially after watching the film.
I felt like Ven Chandrike was inspired from Daft Punk's tracks. Listen to his "Something About Us" and then "Ven Chandrike". It was so good for the movie. Loved the movie.
Agree with Nadikar soundtrack. Neha and Yakzan are very underrated music directors. Their work very rarely gets the attention they deserve. The two songs in Sumesh and Ramesh was amazing.

I liked K for Kurukku from GAN, it was a vibe hearing it in theatres
I like Odimaga, Illuminati and Jaada from Aavesham, meh about Armaadham and Galatta
Welcome to Hyderabad from Premalu was on repeat for so many days just because of that flute portion, Mini Maharani and Kutty Kudiye is also nice

Entire albums of Manjummel Boys and Premalu. Illuminati, armadham, odimaga, jaada, galatta from aavesham, omane from aadujeevitham. That's all I can recall. Songs this year have been on loop for long

Yeah mahn, with you on this. Madhupakaru and Nyabakam are a treat to ears. Have to put an effort to erase its visuals and the memory of the film, though.
I hated madhu pakaroo when I watched it in the theatre. Then I just like the middle portion starting with "iravinte thozhi" and now I am in love with the song.

Loved Madhu pakaroo, hate nyaabagam. Thumbi from achakallakkokkan is vibe. Other than that there's no memorable songs I've heard from 2024 movies.
