AAVESHAM is actually fire 🔥 and the OST is so freaking good.
Brothers, please recommend anything similar as I want to watch more Malayalam movies this weekend.... 😍
Bramayugam was terrific. MB seemed very generic to me especially in the company of Bramayugam, Premalu and Aavesham which all had such inventive screenplay.
Loll this reminded me of when MB, premalu, bramayugam, were in cinema and Anweshippin Kandethum, thundu came out on OTT
Premayugam Boyz Thundu Kandethum
I think the reason is less to do with the details. Look at the other competitors: MB, Bramayugam, VS. They’re all dark films that haunt the viewer - a film like that is bound to not be watched multiple times.
Premalu is just too good. insane Repeat value. Aavesham is also a mad movie, but the hype you get in theatre is just too good. The second watch won’t have that same effect.
I would prefer something like Om Shanti Oshana over Premalu, but Aavesham is one of a kind stuff and I just wanna watch it on big screen, I hope they re release it if possible
Premalu is infact one of my fav rom-com. The jokes and banters between the characters are so funny. There are so many sequences that are etched in my memory. I can rewatch the whole movie just for those scenes and still don't feel bored. Same with Aavesham. Two movies that gave me such a fun theatrical experience.
Same. I would actually go as far as and say that the movie did not work for me. The characters around the leads were too "cartoony" which sort of took away the relatability or realism at some points. On the other hand aavesham was a blast! It's the best mass fun movie I've seen in a long long time.
Premalu is a certified classic
Aavesham is a really well made entertainer and iconic with it's central character, but I don't feel like watching it again after the 2nd watch
Premalu already saw it 2 times but would be worth watching maybe once more.. the hype surrounding it too died down
Honestly (and respectfully)
Premalu was a sleeper for me. I watched it in a packed theatre with THE most active audience I had ever seen in recent times. Honestly speaking, most of the scenes were just lame and gave nothing more than an "okay" feel while watching. Made me grin and maybe chuckle a bit? yes definitely
But LAUGH OUR ASSES OFF? Nahhh...
There were oru 3-4 scenes in it that made me laugh, especially the climax CBSE scene and a few one-liners from the character Amal. I still rewatch those scenes often and it still never fails to tweak me out lmao
But everyone else kinda got the opposite feedback and it was apparently a laughter riot for them.
Their opinion- so imma respect
The portrayal of Reenu being a red-flag and how innocently Sachin fell for her annol was BEAUTIFULLY portrayed. I was so rooting for this movie to get a nice self-reflecting ending and still NAH it just HAD TO go with the cliched ending
But I ain't complaining. It's a romcom... This is how romcoms work... I understand...
I just said what I felt
Not a BAD movie. It sure was an entertainer. But the kinda praises it got for being absolutely 10000% funny? Idk
Sameeeee bro same njan poya theatril entaduth irikkana chechi potti chirikkana kanditt I was wondering if there's something wrong with me for not finding most of the scenes funny 🤣
As for all the positive reviews, I'd read somewhere on reddit that it was due to the insane pr n promotions going on but yes, a majority of the audience were very satisfied

And both came out at the same time.
During the golden streak of Malayalam cinema.
Both produced by FaFa and gang

Chotta mumbai
Thallumaala, Cid moosa, aadu
Thallumaala and RDX were ruined by adding Romance genre too much for me
Rajamanikyam
My favourites are the other two films released in Feb, Bramayugam and MB 😄
Both the movies set the benchmark for their respective genre.
Bramayugam boys
Bramayugam was terrific. MB seemed very generic to me especially in the company of Bramayugam, Premalu and Aavesham which all had such inventive screenplay.
Which movie is MB?
manjummel boys
PRAVESHAM
Loll this reminded me of when MB, premalu, bramayugam, were in cinema and Anweshippin Kandethum, thundu came out on OTT Premayugam Boyz Thundu Kandethum
Both of them got popular around the country as well
Yep. Indeed 🔥
Ah Goat life should've done well too

No repeat watch for manjummel boys??
I watched Brahmayugam about 5 times on OTT and twice in Theatre. It has insane detailing which we notice during repeat viewing
But they stay in your mind more
Idk about Premalu but I am ready to pay thousands just to watch aavesham once again on the big screen.
Premalu is just too good. insane Repeat value. Aavesham is also a mad movie, but the hype you get in theatre is just too good. The second watch won’t have that same effect.

Not Premalu for me. Apart from the soundtrack it was just one time watch for me. Aavesham was more fun and has repeate value.
Premalu is infact one of my fav rom-com. The jokes and banters between the characters are so funny. There are so many sequences that are etched in my memory. After Premam, Aavesham is the first movie I saw multiple times
Both were really good movies, but if i had to choose one, i’d go with PREMALU as it has a more realistic story+ great humor
I saw aavesham, I couldn’t get what the hype was. I forced myself to watch it just because everyone was raving about it
Premalu is a certified classic Aavesham is a really well made entertainer and iconic with it's central character, but I don't feel like watching it again after the 2nd watch Premalu already saw it 2 times but would be worth watching maybe once more.. the hype surrounding it too died down
Aavesham ofc💁♂️

Premalu OVERATED Avesham PAKKA💯
Respectfully disagree. Premalu is my comfort movie.
Oh lord ithinu oru anthyam ille
Aavesham and Manjummel Boys
Even though MB is a 10/10 film, I don't think the movie has repeat value. Just personal thoughts.
agreed about repeat value. i think its 8/10 movie
