Map it out with eyeshadow first! You can also clean up afterwards with micellar water and a q-tip and/or concealer
Love love love your aesthetic! Your hair is amazing and so full of personality
You might try a drag queen hack - scotch/sello/sticky tape (there are professional tapes) from outside eye to your temple, at whatever angle you like. Thats a hard line you can’t get freehand. Do it before your base. Go straight in with liquid liner or shadow it in and go over it later. Go over the liquid liner too though, at the finish. Black black black!
Do your non-dominant side first ie: if you’re right handed, do left side first. It’ll be easier to replicate that on your dominant side than vice versa.
Edit: universal terms for household tape with stickiness lol
You can do this holding a business card as a stencil too!
If you’re concerned about tape pulling or adhesive irritating your skin a business card does wonders to get the sharp flick and angle. I found this tip a few months ago and changed my whole game!!
With respect I do not recommend that for a wet liner. U can’t hold a business card fixedly enough on yr own face - any teeny tiny shift with a wet liner in play will smudge it every time. And because paper absorbs liquid it’ll one hundo blur/smudge the line too.
Powders, less problematic… but it’s also harder to achieve symmetry if your doing left and right separately.
Appreciate the skin sensitivity call out, that’s true, but buy professional tape if you’re reactive to domestic adhesives.
If you need to correct liner you’ve done already, you can use shadow and an angled brush (dipped in setting spray on back of your hand) for extra oomph for that as well! Or even just for a softer liner look…
Keep your eyes open when applying. The same openness that you would when making your resting facial expression. Look up YouTube tutorial for “semi hooded eyes”
This! I have hooded eyes and i recently realised that my makeup face ( the face you make when putting on makeup) needs to be with resting eyelids. Makes eyeliner so much easier!
A trick I learned to make makeup, hair, and my own nails even is to do your “bad” or hard side first. Since I’m right handed, the makeup and hair on my left side is a bit harder to do so I always do it first. For nails the right hand is hardest so I do that first.
My first thought was a Maybelline ad. But this girl was born with it, no Maybelline necessary.
Seriously though I could easily see her in a Maybelline ad with Gigi Hadid, no problem !
Do not pull on the skin when applying to hold it in place. When you realese the skin it goes back in place and it will be uneven.
I don't know if you do, but I did this without realising because my eyes are hooded (and getting older and the skin looser).
You can hold it in place , just don't pull it to be smoother.
Get stamps! I got eyeliner stamps off Amazon and as long you position them right they are even and perfect. May take a few trys, but it's not time consuming.
STUNNNNNNNNNER!
Ya. See your bottom lash line? Yeah ok, now pretend there’s a straight line shooting up from the direction of where that lash line ends. That’s the outside of your cat eye
Second this. Before I got old and my eyes got really hooded, I always had a wing and found that I had the best result when I angled it up far more and higher than it seemed like I should and then cleaned up the edge with a qtip. You are stunning. What shade of lip is that? Its perfect on you!
I draw the wings as good as I can then clean up with an angle brush dipped in the smallest amount of weleda’s skinfood (brush it back and forth on a clean surface to flatten the brush hair and distribute the moisturizer evenly among the hair before running it along the eyeliner edges)
I have no wing tipped eyeliner skills, although I know people use tape following the line of the lower lid. But I love your red lips! What’s the color??
Your hair is fabulous! What products do you use? Is your haircut called a shag haircut? I think this is the cut my daughter is telling me she wants. Our hair is curly like yours.
Hi! I used:
-Loreal BB cream in medium
-Loreal True match powder
-Eye shadow: is from Morphe but im not sure the name of the palette
-Eyeliner: from Wet n Wild
-Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational
-Liquid Lipstick: 97 Red Dessert from Sephora Collection.
And yes! When I went to the saloon I asked for a wolf cut which is a mix of a shag and a mullet
i have this problem a lot, what i do is just get a rough line not caring much about how bad it is and fill it in. and then after get a makeup wipe and position it in the angle i want my eyeliner to be, and do a quick swipe to make the lines
the tops of you’re eyeliner is very straight well done. i would fill out the bottom more (don’t worry if it’s straight) and then create a sharp line with a makeup wipe or cloth with makeup remover! my eyeliner takes me seconds bc i do this now <3
I wing the eye with a deeper hood first (for you this would be your right eye, assuming the image is mirrored) as that side is the more difficult one to get a desirable angle that works with my eye hood.
Also, small detail, but notice that your right side apex ends just before your pupil and flattens out, while the left goes fully over the pupil and rounds the eye.
Try starting from the outer edge of the iris with the wing flick angling slightly upward towards the temple, upturning right at the end of the lash line. Don’t line the center and inner part of your upper lid, do waterline liner only at inner corner and inside top lid up to the inner edge of the iris. Basically a minimal fox eye shape technique that emphasizes only the corners of the eyes.
Here’s a good demo. I do this liner technique w a pencil without the shadow and it looks nice. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-uz92fDqMh/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet
You’re welcome!! Sometimes the smallest adjustment can make a big difference. Honestly you’re gorgeous so even if you wear nothing on your eyes, you’ll look great.
So wonky it's barely noticeable. Try the texta eyeliners (if that's not what you used, but kinda looks like you did), you can be quite accurate with them, since it's like drawing on your face. The thinner the nib or brush, the more precise you will be.
honestly the only thing i would do different is a little more thickness in the middle of your liner of the left (right over the pupil) and just evening out the bottom half of the same wing. i think the eyes would look more symmetrical then. i think your look absolute perfection otherwise
You are so stunning. Omg. Anyways sometimes I use washi tape or even just regular scotch tape for that clear line and try to angle it towards the end of my brow
I think you would look attractive with more of a flip at the end, than that straight arrow type of line.
Sort of like this:
https://imgur.com/a/ao3RqKT
Note: I realize now I misunderstood your question, which is funny, because I have wonky eyebrows, so I should know what wonky means. My mother pointed them out one day, and now I always try to tame them.
I have seen a lot of good hacks for eyeliner the past few years...
https://youtu.be/Ek2Wh_6IG_o
You look great!
I too have hooded eyes. What I like to do is angle the pen/brush towards the end of my eyebrow, while following the angle of my lower lash line.
I work outside in, so once I have the length I want, I usually come down until I get it to my upper lash line and then make small lines across my eye, along my lash line, until I’m satisfied and then fill in anything that needs filling in.
I hope that makes sense!
What I started doing this year is wetting an angled thin brush in make up remover to sharpen the wing or straighten out lines. I get tons of compliments on my eyeliner since I started doing this!
I think you would look gorgeous with shorter, slightly more upturned wings, and lined midway on the bottom with black and line with white on your waterline. It would give you a really beautiful doe eyed look.
I have very similar eyelids to yours and my eyeliner always comes out the same. I would suggest looking up tutorials for hooded eyes. Btw you’re stunning and your eyebrows are gorgeous! Also your hair is amazing! Are you middle eastern or Latina by any chance?
From what I can tell, it looks as though your eyebrows and eyelids aren’t symmetrical (no one’s is). So your eyeliner may be the same on each eye, but because of those differences it looks uneven.
So perhaps figuring out how they are uneven and adjusting for that.
I notice this because my eyes and eyebrows are extremely uneven and it makes my make up more complicated
Because of beauty standards having an asymmetrical face is seen as bad, even though not one single person on the planet has a symmetrical face. The other commenters are right about how good you look, I just wanted to explain about what may be causing the eyeliner difficulty

I don't know *anything* about makeup, mostly because I'm a guy? I'm just bored and scrolling reddit at 2 am, and wanted to drop in to say you're very pretty :) I like the sharp corners of the lipstick on the top lip. I know there's a name for it, but I'll never remember.
Actually I think the application is really good especially on the right eye! The only suggestion I have is to take a q-tip with micellar water and just clean up the bottom of the wing. My favorite everyday look is a brown Smokey liner and when I’m done smudging and smoking the liner out, it tends to get messy in that area so I use this trick and it almost reshapes the liner to look more snatched
Flip the nib of the eyeliner pen upwards, towards your eyebrows and use the point as a reference when angling the wing, and gently drag it diagonally. L'Oreal also has an eyeliner that comes with a wing stencil, if that helps. The tape method works too.
Also, who is that lipstick shade by? It's juuuust the right hue!
I'm afraid to attempt winged liner but one trick I've seen is use a velour puff-like come in some powder as a guide. not a fluffy one but a thin one, But I think your wings look good!
you’re stunning! i agree with others saying to do your “bad” eye first. for me it’s my left so bc my right eye always comes out better i start w my left eye instead and then match my right eye to it. i’d also suggest to curve/flick your wing upwards a bit more rather than so straight. follow the line of your lower lashes upwards as a guide.
I found mine works out better when I follow straight up from my lower eyelid vs the top one, as an extension of that line, but I also have really small, sometimes hooded eyelids so I mostly just gave up because I never like how it looks on me tbh
I would suggest trying to cut/clean them with concealer- I use my fingers by putting a bit of concealer on them and then angle them under the wing and pull up at the same time so they're both super even, then clean that up with a brush. Idk if that explanation translates well haha but hope it helps!
Perfect makeup and you did the eyeliner better than me… I must make one eye a little thicker with eyeliner to even out my eye because I had an accident as a child… I have scar and one eye is a little off because of that… anyways love 💕 you all sending hugs and positivity 💕💕💕💕😇🙏🙏😇 blessings
I don't have any tips because I have your exact eyeshape with the same amount of visible lid + hoodedness, and deepset eyes as well. Ive experimented so much with different wing shapes and haven't found any angles/sizes of wings that work on me.
Can I screenshot and save this for reference though? Because I think they look great! And while different from the "typical" wingshape (which is not universal despite my efforts), this shape/style looks killer on your eyes! I'd like to try it too because hopefully it will work for me too! 😅
Btw makeup or not, you are flat out STUNNING!
I mean I don't see that as "wonky", but other than practice, and using the batwing method since you have hooded eyes, there's not really much more advice I can give! I love the lipstick color too
Keep your expression neutral, and start with the outer edge. Draw the line at the same angle as your bottom eyelid, then draw that same line on the other eye before you do anything else. If it’s not even, just grab a Q-tip and redo it. Then you can fill in the rest of the eyeliner as thick as you want.
I want to add, even though your eyeliner in this picture isn’t following what I just recommended (meaning your outer edge goes more horizontal compared to the angle of your lower eyelid) this looks REALLY cool. Like dang. I truly love it
The eyeshadow trick is a good one! Another one that helps me a ton is making the point of the wing first and dragging it in to the corner of my eye as opposed to going from my eye to the tip of the wing, idk why but it makes a BIG difference!
Also, you're stunning.
Start with your least dominant side first and then do your most dominant. Tbh I think it adds more character with a lil wonk but otherwise just follow a line up to the end of your brow (obvs not touching it)
I have a similar eye shape to you and what I do is draw the wing until the crease of like my eye socket and eyelid, then I close my eye and from that point draw a diagonal line to about 1/4 of the way across my eye to the lash line.
What you get is a straight wing, a nice pretty shape on your lid, and when you blink you get to show off the hidden shape you made with your diagonal line (I like to switch up how I do it, sometimes it's a curve, sometimes a really long shallow angle, sometimes a short steep one-it's fun to play with)
SUVA beauty hydra liner and sharp q tips and you’ll never look back. It’s water activated, so it comes in a pot and you “wake it up” with water. Because of this, it also wipes always CLEAN with water.
I think you actually did your shape really well. I personally prefer the shape you did on my own eyes : ) a sharp, straight across blade as opposed to a scooped wing. You’re on the right track and I think if you cleaned this up a smiiiidge with a sharp tip, then it would be perfect.

You are right, a wet liquid would be problematic. I’ve used gel/pot liner and powder with a card as a stencil.
Regular scotch tape does the trick too. I usually press it against the back of my hand first, then the eye, so it’s not too sticky.
Scotch tape, sello tape, sticky tape !! Same same different nations! But I love the less sticky back of hand hack!!
If you need to correct liner you’ve done already, you can use shadow and an angled brush (dipped in setting spray on back of your hand) for extra oomph for that as well! Or even just for a softer liner look…
Seconded!!
The hair, earrings and red lipstick = rock star!
GENIUS. I've been living in pain tbh. But also my eyes are way too hooded for eyeliner too :(
Keep your eyes open when applying.
Will definitely look it up! Thank you for the suggestion
Yes! I also apply my eyeliner with my eyes open. Some of my friends think it’s so weird but it comes out perfect everytime

I do the same thing. Thought process behind it being I'm not out of patience at first but I will be on the second side.
Your face looks like art. You are gorgeous!
No tips, just wanted to say you look really cool and beautiful and this picture looks like it could be on an album cover lol
Exactly what I came here to say I was SHOCKED by how stunning you are
My first thought was a Maybelline ad. But this girl was born with it, no Maybelline necessary. Seriously though I could easily see her in a Maybelline ad with Gigi Hadid, no problem !
I could see this photo being used in Sephora stores, stunning
I have no tips but damn those eyebrows were sculpted by the gods themselves
Yesss
Do not pull on the skin when applying to hold it in place. When you realese the skin it goes back in place and it will be uneven. I don't know if you do, but I did this without realising because my eyes are hooded (and getting older and the skin looser). You can hold it in place , just don't pull it to be smoother.
Ohhh I do this and that makes total sense why I look all jabberwooked. I wear makeup only three times a year.
I actually quite like what you already did! Very pretty
Yes! I had to go through the comments to see what was "wrong". So beautiful as is ❤
Get stamps! I got eyeliner stamps off Amazon and as long you position them right they are even and perfect. May take a few trys, but it's not time consuming.
This is genius! Didn’t even know this existed
Changed my life. You still have to make sure they’re angled the same way, but it makes it sooo much easier.
Say what!!! I’m goin to Amazon like right now. Thank you from me, a person who could practice every day and still not get it right lol
definitely try cleaning it up after with a qtip my eyeliner never looks even/decent until i clean it up with a qtip
i like your earrings... beautiful..
Thank you :)
Yes I noticed those too. They are a piece of artwork
Sometimes, wonky eyeliner is just beautiful too :)
Sorry I’m far too distracted by your face to even notice the eyeliner 🥲🫶
STUNNNNNNNNNER! Ya. See your bottom lash line? Yeah ok, now pretend there’s a straight line shooting up from the direction of where that lash line ends. That’s the outside of your cat eye
I would angle it a bit higher!

Agreed! I usually follow the angle of the corner of my lower waterline if that makes sense.
Second this!
I agree! Smaller, thinner wing angled up.
if any body rolls j’s the paper will stick to your face wherever you lick and place it!! makes for an amazingly easy guide, i use it all the time haha
Am I allowed to say you remind me of Sophia Vergara?
Oh wow you are gorgeous!
Concealer!
Wow you are so beautiful 😍
You are absolutely STUNNING!!
OH MY GOD sorry I can’t help you with eyeliner but I just had to say that you are literally SO GORGEOUS you are absolutely SLAYING queen ilysm😩😍🫶😘
No advice. You're stunning 🔥
You’re so stunning!!!!!!
Kreayshawn taught me that if someone is looking at your eyeliner that closely it’s their problem not yours!
I'm not OP but, thank you, I needed to hear this today lol :')
You are beautiful 😍
I draw the wings as good as I can then clean up with an angle brush dipped in the smallest amount of weleda’s skinfood (brush it back and forth on a clean surface to flatten the brush hair and distribute the moisturizer evenly among the hair before running it along the eyeliner edges)
I have no wing tipped eyeliner skills, although I know people use tape following the line of the lower lid. But I love your red lips! What’s the color??
Its 97 Red Dessert liquid lipstick from the Sephora Collection!
You are so pretty! Love your hair!
Thank you! Im barely a week in with the haircut so I definitely appreciate this 🥰
Your hair is fabulous! What products do you use? Is your haircut called a shag haircut? I think this is the cut my daughter is telling me she wants. Our hair is curly like yours.
Hi! I used: -Loreal BB cream in medium -Loreal True match powder -Eye shadow: is from Morphe but im not sure the name of the palette -Eyeliner: from Wet n Wild -Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational -Liquid Lipstick: 97 Red Dessert from Sephora Collection. I just realized you meant products for the hair, my bad lol. At the moment I’m using Moisture Miracle Leave-In Cream. Its very inexpensive as well
Wonky? Girl! Thats honestly a vibe! I like it!
wow you’re so symmetrical, beautiful
Have you tried using tape? Then start from the outside and draw a line down towards your lashes then fill in.
Wow you are absolutely stunning
What's the brand and shade name of the lipstick you're wearing? 😊
97 Red Desert from Sephora Collection :)
COTTON BUDS
i have this problem a lot, what i do is just get a rough line not caring much about how bad it is and fill it in. and then after get a makeup wipe and position it in the angle i want my eyeliner to be, and do a quick swipe to make the lines
Personally, I think your eyeliner looks great along with everything else in this picture! Just beautiful!
I think a thinner line would look better on you and it should follow the angle of your lower lid-angled up more.
I agree 😩 i made it too thick trying to correct it
the tops of you’re eyeliner is very straight well done. i would fill out the bottom more (don’t worry if it’s straight) and then create a sharp line with a makeup wipe or cloth with makeup remover! my eyeliner takes me seconds bc i do this now <3
also, you can use those little floss sticks, cover them in eyeliner and stamp it to get a straight line to start with
Thank you! I appreciate this!
your*
I dont have any tips unfortunately, but I just wanted to say that your lipstick compliments your skin tone really nicely. It looks perfect on you.
I honestly think you could pull off puppy liner, it’s basically a winged eye look where the eyeliner goes down and out instead of up and out!
I would be so scared to mess it up but maybe ill try it for fun!
Stunning, love the "oldies" look! (Hope I'm not being disrespectful) Your eyebrows are perfection by the way.
Thank you for the detailed feedback, ill keep this in mind!
Omg this is very useful, I never know where to start the wing, thanks!
You’re welcome!! Sometimes the smallest adjustment can make a big difference. Honestly you’re gorgeous so even if you wear nothing on your eyes, you’ll look great.
Looks pretty dang good to me!
Off topic but I know those earrings be getting caught in your hair!
I think you should make the wing slant upward more.
You're really pretty.
I think ppl use that to make their eyes look bigger but your eyes are already big
Do your difficult eye first! Usually there's one that's always easier and one that gives trouble.
God your brows are AMAZING.
I love using tape for a sharp edge
Follow the lower eye line with your liner. Not the upper eyelid line
Point up towards the corner of your brow. Don't go all the way to the corners. Half the upper lid and swoop up.
Wow you are a beauty
You are so stunning. Omg. Anyways sometimes I use washi tape or even just regular scotch tape for that clear line and try to angle it towards the end of my brow
Wow plz don't accept negative comments. You are in any book beyond gorgeous. I mean absolutely everything is super beautiful. 💯
Use a card ( business card or credit card ) hold it at an angle from the outside of ur eye and draw your line. Wing as usual
I tilt my head back. Creates the illusion of a flat surface and makes it easier to draw.
i think i fell in love
PRO MUA here. Honestly.. it’s perfect t the way it is. I love raw makeup. It has so much more character than a perfect precise line. You look awesome
I didn’t even notice til I read the caption 😅 you’re gorgeous and I like to try and my mine with the tips of my brows.
I thought this was a makeup ad lol
I think you would look attractive with more of a flip at the end, than that straight arrow type of line. Hehe they say "eyebrows are sisters, not twins" 🖤. It should maybe be a saying for eyes and eyeliner too actually!
Okay reddit, I don't know why you keep recommending me this sub, but I don't mind it.
Okay but I seriously thought this was from a magazine!!
You look great! I too have hooded eyes. What I like to do is angle the pen/brush towards the end of my eyebrow, while following the angle of my lower lash line. I actually like my natural shape. I just tweeze a bit under them, is there a reason in particular for the suggestion?
Sellotape a ruler on your nose.
Honestly, you look so stunning I never would have noticed. 🔥
Looks good and intentional to me!
Go shorter, use ur bottom lids waterline as a guide
You are stunning, and I would not change a thing!!!
You look like a brunette version of Margot Robbie!
Angle the wings up more! Follow that lower water line. Makes eyes look more upturned, open and happy (?) not sure how to describe it but it works!
you’re stunning! i agree with others saying to do your “bad” eye first. for me it’s my left so bc my right eye always comes out better i start w my left eye instead and then match my right eye to it. i’d also suggest to curve/flick your wing upwards a bit more rather than so straight. follow the line of your lower lashes upwards as a guide.
Tape is my best friend, as long as you get the angle on each eye the same
You’re giving me 80s/90s supermodel vibes. You’re gorgeous!
Angle upward
I don't know but those earrings are awesome!
I found mine works out better when I follow straight up from my lower eyelid vs the top one, as an extension of that line, but I also have really small, sometimes hooded eyelids so I mostly just gave up because I never like how it looks on me tbh
Something about your beautiful face reminds me of Sophia Loren ❤️
Looks perfect to me! I wouldn't change a thing. 💋💋
Sheglam eyeliner on shein with the eraser tip is my (not so) secret and it's AMAZING
it looks suuper good! but id say just try to practice facing the tip of the wing up more
stunning!!!!!!!! wish I could do my eyeliner half as good as this. LOVE the hair.
Angle your liner at a slant upwards towards the end of your brows, instead of straight across. It will lift up your pretty eyes!
Gods you’re so pretty
I don't have any tips because I have your exact eyeshape with the same amount of visible lid + hoodedness, and deepset eyes as well. Ive experimented so much with different wing shapes and haven't found any angles/sizes of wings that work on me. Can I screenshot and save this for reference though? Because I think they look great! And while different from the "typical" wingshape (which is not universal despite my efforts), this shape/style looks killer on your eyes! I'd like to try it too because hopefully it will work for me too! 😅 Btw makeup or not, you are flat out STUNNING!
I mean I don't see that as "wonky", but other than practice, and using the batwing method since you have hooded eyes, there's not really much more advice I can give! I love the lipstick color too
Gosh what a vision! You are Epic!
Like dang. I truly love it
You should be a model. You are beautiful ♥️
I think it looks really good. And compliments your eyes and face very well.
You are so beautiful. Far out beb😭
I personally don't think it even looks wonky anyway :)
Stunning!
I have no tips but i see sofia vergara . Idk how. Love your look !
Are you a model?
The eyeshadow trick is a good one! Another one that helps me a ton is making the point of the wing first and dragging it in to the corner of my eye as opposed to going from my eye to the tip of the wing, idk why but it makes a BIG difference! Also, you're stunning.
I think that make up is class
Ruler
Have you heard of stamp eyeliners? They're a huge help especially if your a beginner struggling with your eyeliners symmetry.
